Right then, this series has been a roller-coaster of a ride so far. The scoreline is now 2-2 and all roads will now head to Bengaluru on Sunday, 19th of June. It promises to be one cracker of a decider. The game will begin at 7 pm IST (1.30 pm GMT). However, as you know our build-up will begin well in advance. So do join us for the same. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Dinesh Karthik is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant knock of 55 from just 27 balls. He says it feels good to be playing for a long time and he is getting used to this new setup as a player as he has been on the other side of the mic for a few months and he is getting used to this new role, as he has played cricket for so long that he is being interviewed by people whom he had played against. Adds that he feels secure in this Indian setup and there is comfort in the dressing room. There are a few goals and he wants to achieve it. Shares that he is thinking and assessing much better now, there is a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Tells that South Africa bowled brilliantly up front, they were finding it hard to bat and when he went in, Pandya told him to take time before hitting big. Tells that he feels like a local boy at Bangalore as he has played in the domestic team and hopes to perform well in the final match. Says it is good to see a bilateral series going down to the final match. To see the pressure being absorbed in the third and fourth games is what they will relish. Credits Rahul Dravid and says, he has clarity and calmness even when they don't do well and feels they need to embrace pressure.

Rishabh Pant, the skipper of India, says that they talked about execution and playing good cricket and here are the results. Tells that they can talk about toss but it is the team that plays well that wins the game. Tells that he is very happy with how Hardik played and Dinesh Karthik going for a kill from the start and that partnership was great for them. Mentions that he can improve as an individual on various fronts but he is not thinking too much of it and is just trying to improve. Signs off by saying that he is looking forward to the final game in Bengaluru.

The South African skipper is injured and Keshav Maharaj comes in for a chat in place of Temba Bavuma. He says it didn't go according to the plan as they leaked too many runs in the last five overs. Adds that they have to adapt better and have to be proactive in this kind of pitch and situation. Tells they lost wickets at regular intervals. Dinesh Karthik was exceptional in the back end and he hopes to come back stronger in the last match. Ends by saying, it is always hard to bowl on the Indian pitch. Tells that there will be a lot of buzz at the ground in Bangalore and expects it to be a cracker.

Stay tuned for the Presentation.

Avesh Khan is down for a chat. He says it is his dad's birthday so he dedicates this win to him. The plan was to bowl stump to stump as the pitch was two-paced, so he was bowling on a length. Adds that Pant said to him to bowl a leg-cutter after bowling a bouncer and bowled to Jansen and a slower one to Maharaj. Tells that as a team, they need to back themselves and will now focus on the next match. Shares that they will give 100% in the next match.

The difference though as mentioned earlier was the innings of a man who is on a comeback mission in the Indian team, Dinesh Karthik. We saw in the Indian T20 League what he did for Bangalore in those death overs and now he has done that again in the Indian blue, he smashed 55 from 27 balls and Hardik also gave him good company with a well-paced innings of 46. South African bowlers were good till the 15th over but that onslaught by India in the final five overs where they scored 73 runs took the game away from them on a tricky Rajkot pitch. South Africa need to regroup and come out with better plans and execution in the decider now, it will be more of a mental battle for them.

Indian bowlers came out with a plan as they assessed the nature of the pitch after that first innings and bowled hard lengths. South African batters struggled to get going and Bavuma got injured early in his innings. Quinton de Kock departed in the fifth over and from thereon, wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals. Pant also used his bowlers quite well in the middle and Chahal was exceptional with his crafty leg spin again. Harshal Patel knocked over Miller in the 11th over and that buried any hopes that South Africa had of chasing down this total. The icing on the cake was the 14th over by Avesh Khan in which he took three wickets and made sure that India seal the deal with a big win. A brilliant bowling performance from India and it has been a show of great character by this young Indian team.

India level the series here at Rajkot and we are going into Bengaluru now for an all-important decider. Has to say, India have momentum on their side now, it has been another convincing victory for them. This pitch was quite tricky and South Africa had no answers in front of a disciplined bowling performance from the Indian side. However, one man stands out above all here, Dinesh Karthik, his knock was a game-changer on a pitch where every other batter struggled to get going and after two back-to-back losses in the first two games, India have roared back in style in this series.

Commentary

We are back for the chase. The players are out in the middle. Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock are the openers for South Africa. Chahal has a chat with de Kock as they walk across. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to start with the ball.

... The Chase...

Right then! The pitch is two-paced and India will back themselves to defend this total. The first six overs will tell a lot about the chase and South Africa will hope they don't lose any wickets. Stay tuned as the chase is coming up.

The man of the moment, Dinesh Karthik says that he is very happy with what they did today in the last 10 overs. Tells that he believed that they can get 80-85 runs in the last 7 overs and in the T20 game they have to take risks and he looks to weigh his options. Mentions that it is nice to still play after making his debut for India in their first T20I. Talks about the pitch, he says that it is on the slower side and if they bowl well they can defend this total.

South Africa lost the plot after the 15th over and they will feel very disappointed as they were so good before that. They used the hard length, slower balls, and used the pitch quite well to be on the front foot in the game for a longer period but they leaked 73 in the last five overs and lost it completely. They should have taken a breather and regrouped a bit but that was not the case.

India were struggling at 81 for 4 at one point as the batters were struggling to hit the middle. Even 150 was looking dull but once Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik got into the groove, the fortunes changed as runs were coming with ease after that. Pandya played the anchor role before unleashing himself while Karthik is in unbelievable touch right now as he made sure to turn up again and help India get to a defendable score.

Dinesh Karthik made his T20I debut back in 2006 but he has just scored his maiden fifty after 16 years. The man is aging like fine wine and slowly booking his place in the team as the finisher. Not to forget the innings from Pandya as well, he was the one who shifted the momentum in India's favor before Karthik took over.

Miller tries to work it towards the leg side but misses as the ball knocks over the off pole. Harshal Patel is delighted and rightly so, this now makes India a firm favourite to win this one. The pair of Chahal and Harshal Patel doing the trick again for India!

10.11

On a length, outside off. Rassie van der Dussen cuts it left of point towards deep backward point for a single.

DRINKS! Just like the previous game, India have been top-notch with their bowling in these first 10 overs. This is a tricky pitch and South African batters struggled to get going, the run out of Quinton de Kock did not help their cause and it is now upto this pair of Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller to take them over the line, just like they did in the first game. It will be a tough task though on this pitch and let's see how things pan out. South Africa need a Miller special here!

We are all set to begin! South African players make their way out to the middle. Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad are the openers for India. Marco Jansen who is playing his first game of the series will start with the ball. Ruturaj Gaikwad is on the strike. Here we go...

As we build towards this game, there is an ODI game that is going on between England and Netherlands, though we think that England just approached it with a mindset of a T20 game. They have scored 498 runs in their allotted 50 overs, the highest-ever ODI total in the history of the game. That is some serious effort by a very strong English team and let’s hope we witness a run-feast in this belter of a track at Rajkot.

Hardik Pandya is down for a chat. He says that he kind of knew at the start of the series that he would be leading India after this series. Tells that it is still a special feeling to get the chance to lead the Indian team and who would have thought that it will happen one day, it shows that if one works hard, rewards will come. Tells that he tries to play the role that team needs and he comes as the 6th bowling option in this team and he tries to perform well whenever he gets the opportunity. Mentions that he enjoys the challenge of batting as a finisher.

Rishabh Pant, the skipper of India, says they were looking to bowl first. Adds that they are focussing on the process and mentions that when one plays for the country, every game is a must-win game. Tells that they are trying to increase their run-rate in the middle overs and it might not work out all the time but adds that, they are trying to improve.

Temba Bavuma, the skipper of South Africa, says that they will bowl first. Says he is not too sure how the wicket will play and he is backing his strength. Adds that the previous scores are high in the domestic games here and informs they have three changes, two forced ones as Rabada and Parnell miss out due to injuries, Reeza Hendricks also misses out. Quinton along with Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi come into the team. Tells that de Kock will play his role and hopes the team performs well.

India (Unchanged Playing XI) - Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (C) (WK), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal.

South Africa (Playing XI) - Quinton de Kock (In for Reeza Hendricks), Temba Bavuma (C), Dwaine Pretorius, Rassie van der Dussen, Heinrich Klaasen (WK), David Miller, Marco Jansen (In for Wayne Parnell), Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi, Lungi Ngidi (In for Kagiso Rabada).

TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of South Africa. They have elected to BOWL first.

PITCH REPORT - Deep Dasgupta is down for the Pitch Report. He says it's a big ground. Adds that it is a high scoring venue. There is a lot of grass, it has a thick root structure and we can expect a spongy bounce. Tells that it might help seamers with the new ball as there is a layer of grass. Feels it will be a high scoring one and dew won't be there.
