Right then! That is all we have from this match and this also concludes West Indies tour of India. The hosts won both the ODI and T20I series 3-0 but the cricketing action doesn't stop here. India now turn their focus to Sri Lanka, who tour India next. The sides meet in a three-match T20I series first, starting on the 24th of February. The first T20I begins at 7 pm IST (1.30 pm GMT) but the build-up to the game will begin a lot sooner. Do join us then. Take care and goodbye!

Rohit Sharma now lifts the winning trophy and the Indian team is seen rejoicing and posing for a team photo with the trophy!

Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain says that as a team whether they chase or they defend it does not matter, they wanted to tick all the boxes, and he is happy with the series and they got pretty much everything they wanted. Mentions that they do understand they are good while chasing, but most of the guys are missing from the team, and they have a young team. States that the biggest takeaway from the ODI series, was the guys who got an opportunity and made it count, and also the bowlers did well in both the series. Informs that there are a few guys missing from the team for the next tour, but there are other players who will get game time as well, and they have to keep one eye on the T20 World Cup also. He concludes by saying that Sri Lanka will be a different challenge, but they are not looking at any opposition they just want to concentrate on how they can play as a team and improve in different areas. Fielding is one area, they would like to improve upon.

Suryakumar Yadav is named as the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AND ALSO THE PLAYER OF THE SERIES! Suryakumar Yadav says that tonight he wanted to replicate what he did in the first game and it was very important for him to stay at the crease after Rohit got dismissed. Says that tonight was a perfect opportunity for him and is glad that everything worked out well. He adds that he is trying to keep things simple and try to do the same thing over and over again, be it on the pitch or in the nets. He says that one needs to just have a few quality net sessions and just believe in themselves. Lastly, he mentions that he is excited about the upcoming series.

West Indies skipper, Kieron Pollard says that they had the momentum till the 15th over, but they gave away 85 odd runs in the last 5 overs and lost the momentum there, but they did start the innings well and could not carry on. Mentions that there are some positives to take from the tour, Pooran returns to form which was good to see, and all the young players performed well in these conditions, Rovman Powell was excellent as well. States that all the players were given the opportunities and they put in all the hard work.

Presentation ceremony...

So, India have now made it 9 consecutive wins in T20I matches and have made short work of the 3-match T20I series against West Indies. With this victory, India now becomes the top-ranked side in the World in T20Is. Stay tuned for the presentation...

Harshal Patel is down for a chat. He says that the bowlers need to have clarity at the end overs. One needs to know what delivery to bowl at the death. States that there was a bit of dampness in the wicket because of the weather today, which was making it difficult to bowl, apart from that there was no dew.

Shardul Thakur is up for a quick chat. He says that the ball was holding on to the wicket and they wanted to bowl fuller, as the batters had time to pull the short ball. Mentions that if he is doing the job for India at the death, he needs to know how it's done, he has done it for Chennai for four years now and will look to carry on the same and prepare well for the T20 World Cup as well. States that they have to mentally be tough and it's okay to be hit for boundaries, but they just have to think about the next ball. Says that everyone has to follow a process, he had a plan to bowl wide yorkers, and he stuck to it, no matter what.

It was the same old story for the visitors. The openers faltering, then Nicholas Pooran doing all the repair work alongside Rovman Powell and getting them into the match and then the middle order undoing all the hard work to make things difficult. This is not a pattern any team would want to follow and the Windies need to do a couple of things differently. Holder, Pollard and Chase, all of them seasoned players but just couldn't get going again. Pooran made it three half-centuries in a row in the series and he seems to be back to his best. He will once again feel a bit let down by the fact that he couldn't get his team over the line. Romario Shepherd did keep the hopes alive with a fiery cameo but the Indian bowlers just executed their deliveries brilliantly at the death. West Indies will now look to go back home and reflect on this tour and make the necessary adjustments in order to get better for the T20 World Cup later in the year.

It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar two nights ago and Harshal Patel has replicated his 19th over antics tonight to hand India a convincing win. Deepak Chahar gave the hosts the perfect start by picking up the Windies openers with a couple of beauties before he had to leave the field with an injury. India then were put on the back foot by Pooran and Powell but they roared back into the match. Everyone apart from Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan got into the wickets column. Venkatesh Iyer covered Chahar's overs well and even got a couple of big wickets. Shardul Thakur was given a tap early on but showed his mental strength by coming back strongly at the death. But it was Harshal Patel who was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 wickets and was miserly as well. All in all, a top bowling effort from the hosts.

A big performance at the death from Shardul Thakur and Harshal Patel has seen India clinch yet another close encounter and they do manage to complete the double clean sweep over West Indies. Once again the Windies falter at the final hurdle and round off a disappointing tour with a disappointing loss.

Who comes in next? It's going to be Dominic Drakes.

18.5W

OUT! TAKEN! The 19th over generally is the most important over and Harshal Patel has just bowled a gem of an over so far. A loopy slower ball, full and outside off. This is dipping on the batter and even though Romario Shepherd is waiting for it, it is really difficult to get under it and generate the power to go big. Shepherd forces the big shot over extra cover but can only manage to lift it towards the cover region. Rohit Sharma over there takes a couple of steps back and pouches it comfortably. Is that the final nail in the Windies coffin?

18.41

This is excellent from Harshal Patel. He goes seam up this time, into the pitch and pushes it wider. Allen fetches and sort of half-pulls it towards deep mid-wicket for a single.

18.30

Slower ball, outside off. Fabian Allen swings at it but misses.

18.21

Slower ball, shorter on middle. Romario Shepherd pulls it towards deep mid-wicket for a single.

Right on the buzzer, Rohit Sharma decides to make use of the review left for an LBW decision. There's a huge gap between bat and pad and UltraEdge confirms the same. Ball Tracker shows that the impact is umpire's call and the ball is missing leg stump. The on-field decision of NOT OUT will stay. India lose the review but they had to go for it at this stage.

18.12lb

TWO LEG BYES! NOT OUT! A full toss ball, on the pads. Romario Shepherd misses his heave and gets hit on the pads and the ball rolls towards third man. An appeal for LBW, but the umpire says no! India opts for a review! There's a huge gap between bat and pad, UltraEdge confirms this! Ball Tracker shows that the impact is the umpire's call and the ball is missing leg stump. The on-field decision stands. Also, the batters steal a leg bye. There was a throw at the non-striker's end but the ball misses the stumps. The batters steal an overthrow in return as well.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! The players are out in the middle. Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope will open the batting for India. Deepak Chahar will begin with the ball. Here we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Right then! West Indies need 185 runs to win from 20 overs to win their first game of the tour. Will they chase this down? We will find out. Stay tuned!

Venkatesh Iyer is up for a quick chat. He says that more than his own batting, he enjoyed watching Suryakumar Yadav play all those shots and it was mesmerizing. He adds that Surya has a large range of shots and he can flick the ball behind square on both sides of the wicket. About his own flick shot, Iyer says that it was Surya's idea to get inside the line of the ball and play that shot.

A royal exhibition of batting by India! They would be mightily pleased after posting a target of 185! After losing Ruturaj Gaikwad early in the innings. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer steadied the ship and rebuit the innings. But they lost quick wickets in the middle. However, it was the fireworks by Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer who put together 91 runs and guided India to a total of over 180. At one point, 160 was looking tough. India have a good chance to clean sweep this T20I series as well! West Indies, on the other hand, started off well, added pressure on India early on, but they failed to capitalize on the same. They leaked over 80 runs in the last 5 overs and let the game slip away. They are well and truly capable of chasing this target down, however, this time, it's going to be a little tough since there is less dew on the ground.

An entertaining, exciting, thrilling first half of the game! It was raining boundaries at Eden Gardens! But, the story remains the same as the previous game. A good start from West Indies, but it's India who have done an exceptional job in the end with the bat. Another healthy total on the board, West Indies would be a disappointment here, it was the partnership of Iyer and Yadav that hurt them the most. West Indies face an uphill task ahead of them, but like the previous game, it is surely going to be an exciting chase.

OUT! TAKEN! The carnage has finally ended and Romario Shepherd does get a consolation wicket in the end. This is a full toss, on off stump. Suryakumar Yadav gets low and tries to whip it across once again. This time he doesn't quite middle it and the ball flies towards the square leg fence. Rovman Powell over there takes a good catch and a blistering knock from SKY ends. India finish with 184/5!

19.56

SIX! Back-to-back sixes and the half-century is up for Romario Shepherd with the ball! A rank half-volley, around off. Suryakumar Yadav hangs deep and lifts it high and handsome over the long off fence. 21 already off the over with one ball to go.

19.46

SIX! Suryakumar Yadav is playing shots never seen before. A full toss, angled across off. SKY with a whip across and those strong wrists come into play once again. The ball flies over the backward square leg fence for another biggie.

19.31

Full, on leg stump. Iyer looks to flick but gets an inside edge onto the pads. The ball rolls towards short fine leg and they get a single. Romario Shepherd seems to be the only one appealing and the umpire turns him down.

19.21

Back of a length, on off. Yadav pulls it down to deep mid-wicket for a single.

19.16

SIX! FIFTY! Suryakumar Yadav brings up the half-century in tremendous style. Full and wide, not quite full enough. SKY stays deep in his crease and goes inside-out, over the extra cover fence for another huge hit.

19.11wd

WIDE! An attempted slower ball, spilled well down the leg side. Wided.

Romario Shepherd will bowl the final over of the innings.

18.64

FOUR! Poor bowling this from Dominic Drakes. He is feeling the pressure. A juicy full toss, on middle. Venkatesh Iyer hangs back and powers it right back over the bowler's head for a boundary. 21 off the over and India well in the ascendancy at the moment.

18.54lb

FOUR LEG BYES! You've got to feel for the bowler! Even a perfectly executed ball goes for a boundary. Iyer shuffles right across his stumps, looking for the scoop shot but Drakes manages to fire it full and wide. The ball goes off the pads and runs away to the fine leg fence.

18.44

FOUR! Up and over! Full and wide, it's a good delivery but there are no fielders on the off side boundary behind point. Venkatesh Iyer goes hard at it and gets enough bat on it to slice it over point for a boundary.

18.31

On middle, this is pushed through mid on for a single.

18.26

SIX! That is skillful from Suryakumar Yadav! Full and wide, SKY sets up to go over extra cover but just throws his hands at it and opens the face of the blade ever so slightly. The pace of the ball carries it over the third man fence for a maximum.

18.12

Short and wide, slower in pace. Suryakumar Yadav hangs back and cuts it behind point for a couple. The 50-run partnership comes up between these two in almost double quick time.

Dominic Drakes comes to ball the penultimate over!

Dot to end the over! Full and wide again, it's a low full toss, dipping on the batter. Iyer looks to drive but is well beaten.

17.56

SIX! My word! A length ball, around middle and leg. Venkatesh Iyer shuffles across his stumps and gets inside the line of the ball. Iyer then lifts it all the way over the fine leg fence for a biggie.

17.40

Excellent again from the experienced Jason Holder! Full and wide, Iyer gives the charge but is nowhere near the pitch of the ball.

17.31

Well bowled! Full, angling on the pads and Yadav can only manage to get an inside edge onto the pads. The ball rolls away off the pads and onto the leg side. The batters sneak in a run though.

17.20

Length this time, angling down leg. Yadav tries to sway away from the line of the ball to let it through for another wide but doesn't manage to do so. Dot ball!

17.21wd

WIDE! Holder looks for the toe-crushing yorker yet again and misses the mark yet again as well. Down the leg side and the umpire signals a wide.

17.21wd

WIDE! That is a howler from Jason Holder. Holder tries to attack the pads but spills it well down the leg side, almost outside the pitch. Wided.

17.11

A bit of width on offer and this is slapped away to sweeper cover for a single.

Jason Holder (3-0-19-1) comes back to bowl his final over.

We are ready for play! Ajit Agarkar rings the bell to signal the start of the match and the Indian openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan take guard. Jason Holder has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. But before that, the West Indies players take the knee as the Indian players have their hands on their badge to show their support for the BLM movement. All set now. Let's go...

Rohit Sharma, the skipper of India, says that they batted first last time as well and did well so they are ready for the challenge tonight but they have a different batting lineup tonight. Informs that they have made four changes with Kohli, Pant, Bhuvi and Chahal making way for Ruturaj, Shreyas, Shardul, and Avesh Khan to make his debut. Rohit also mentions that tonight Ishan and Ruturaj will open the innings. He mentions that it is a good test of their physical and mental strength and hopes that they come out on top yet again.

Kieron Pollard, the skipper of West Indies, says that they are going to bowl first, and nothing much has changed for them since the last few games. Informs us that they have four changes, Walsh, Fabian, Drakes, and Hope come in. Mentions that they have done well with the bat in the previous games but they have to improve their fielding and bowl better at the death. States that it is an opportunity for all the young guys to get try these conditions and for them to see what they offer.

India (Playing XI) - Ruturaj Gaikwad (In for Rishabh Pant), Ishan Kishan (WK), Rohit Sharma (C), Shreyas Iyer (In for Virat Kohli), Suryakumar Yadav, Venkatesh Iyer, Shardul Thakur (In for Yuzvendra Chahal), Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan (On debut) (In for Bhuvneshwar Kumar).

West Indies (Playing XI) - Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell, Kieron Pollard (C), Roston Chase, Fabian Allen (In for Sheldon Cottrell), Romario Shepherd, Hayden Walsh (In for Akeal Hosein), Dominic Drakes (In for Odean Smith), Shai Hope (WK) (In for Brandon King), Jason Holder.

TOSS - West Indies have won the toss and they have elected to BOWL first.

PITCH REPORT - Deepdas Gupta is alongside Ajit Agarkar for the Pitch Report. DDS says that the pitch is the same as the one used in the second T20I. Ajit adds that even though it's the second game on the same track, it should be a high-scoring game yet again. There are a few patches but the bowlers will find it difficult. DDS mentions that dew might be a factor but the conditions have been overcast all day long and that might mean that there's less dew tonight.

Some exciting news! Avesh Khan has just received his T20I cap and he is all set to make his senior international debut for India..

West Indies came really close to getting their first win of the tour last time around but the blitz from Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell just wasn't enough. Their openers have failed throughout the tour and with almost nothing to play for, the visitors might also tweak their playing XI. One man who certainly deserves to keep his place in the playing XI is Roston Chase. He was given a chance in the first T20I as Holder was injured but Chase has turned out to be their best bowler. So, will the hosts make a double clean sweep? Or will the T20I Kings end the tour on a high? We'll find out soon. Toss and team news in a bit.

India have already taken an unassailable lead in the 3-match series and with Virat Kohli and the vice-captain Rishabh Pant being released from the bio bubble, a lot of changes are expected tonight to the playing XI. Avesh Khan, who has been sitting on the sidelines might get his international debut. Shreyas Iyer might also come in for one of the two players released from the bio bubble and get a game at his new franchise's home ground. This match will help the hosts to utilize the bench strength as well.

Hello and a warm welcome to the 3rd T20I between India and West Indies. This is the final match of the T20I series and also of the tour. The hosts will be looking to repeat the clean sweep that they achieved during the ODI series here as well. The visitors will be looking to round off a disappointing tour with a consolation victory.

... MATCH DAY ...
