Kyle McCallan is down for the pitch report. He says that it is a typical Malahide pitch with a tinge of green on it. The pitch is a bit tacky underneath and there's some moisture over it. Mentions that the captain winning the toss will look to bowl first as there will be early help for the seamers.

Ireland have a settled team and they have shown already that they can go shoulder to shoulder with the big boys and now it's just a matter of doing that exact thing for a prolonged period of time. The hosts do well in T20Is but will need to be more patient when it comes to the 50-over format if they want to snatch a game or two off the Kiwis. Will the home side be able to use the conditions in their favor? Or will New Zealand prove to be just too strong an opposition for them? We'll find out. Toss and team news in a bit.
