Mitchell Santner has been handed over the trophy. He along with his full team pose for a photo. Right then! That is it from this enticing series. New Zealand have clinched the ODI as well as the T20I series. It's been a tough series for Ireland but still a lot of positives to take from each game. The cricketing action does not end here. We have England battling it out with South Africa in Manchester, while India are taking on West Indies in the first ODI as well. Just switch tabs and enjoy the action of the other games as well. It's goodbye from here!

Mitchell Santner the skipper of New Zealand says that it was a hard-fought series and they were well fortunate to come out on top. Adds that despite the fact that there are big names missing, players like Michael Bracewell have stepped up and they have got over the line. Mentions that everyone understands their role in the team and they have all helped achieve victory in this difficult series Says they were expecting rain but the weather stayed good and they are thrilled to win this hard-fought series.

Andy Balbirnie the skipper of Ireland says that they wanted to set up a good score while batting first and he thought 174 was a really good total. Mention that this was the best wicket they played on in this series. Adds that it was a really impressive chase and good learning for them. Further says that it's another game that they have lost, but they have enjoyed their cricket. Concludes by saying that they have been improving and playing good cricket.

Glenn Phillips is the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series! He says it's a team effort starting from the first T20I where Lockie Ferguson grabbed four wickets in the game and the way James Neesham and Daryl Mitchell played in this game was great. Adds that they want to push themselves to run well between the wickets and with the world cup in Australia where the grounds are big it becomes important to run. Further says that he was not happy with his strike rate but there are different roles for everyone in the game.

Stay tuned for the presentation...

Earlier in the match, New Zealand had Ireland constrained till the partnership between Mark Adair and Curtis Campher broke the shackles and pushed their total to 174. It was a much-improved batting performance from the Irish side as compared to the first two games. However, this time they were unable to defend their target and ended up on the wrong side of the result once again.

Ireland would be disappointed that they missed an opportunity to register their first win on this tour. They had put up a competitive total and had started off well with the ball. Two drop catches in consecutive balls of Glenn Phillips could have been the turning point in the game. Had they taken those chances the game may have played out differently. Josh Little had bowled well taking 2 wickets for 16 runs in his first three overs. His final over though ended the game as James Neesham took him to the cleaners.

New Zealand began their chase in an attacking fashion and despite the fact they were losing wickets they maintained a healthy run rate. They looked like they were in trouble when they were 65 for 3, but Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips put on an 82-run partnership to make the chase look comfortable. Daryl Mitchell fell just short of his half-century but Glenn Phillips played an outstanding knock to take New Zealand to the finish line. He remained unbeaten on 56 off 44 balls. James Neesham came in and played a cameo of 23 runs in just 6 deliveries to wrap the match up.

The Kiwis have completed the whitewash of this T20I series and have made it six wins in six matches in this tour. They win by six wickets and with an over to spare. Ireland have put up quite a performance this series but have fallen well short of the finish line on multiple occasions.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! The players are out in the middle. Martin Guptill and Finn Allen will open the batting for New Zealand. Mark Adair will begin the proceedings with the ball. Let's go!

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Right then! For the first time in the series, Ireland have batted first and have posted a total of 174 runs! We have witnessed scores over 170 not being chased down. Can New Zealand do so? We will know soon! Stay tuned for the second essay!

Paul Stirling is down for a chat. He says it was quite a tricky start and they thought they will build a platform for the rest of the team to play freely. Says they were looking for 160 but the partnership towards the end really pushed them to a competitive total. Adds the total is competitive and they will look to come out and bowl well to restrict New Zealand on this wicket.

New Zealand bowlers will be absolutely disappointed that they find themselves in such a tricky position. They looked comfortable in the game with Ireland reeling at 116 for 6 in 16.3 overs. They missed their line and lengths towards the end and lacked discipline. Blair Tickner and Ish Sodhi contributed with 2 wickets each. Despite the poor end to their bowling performance, they will be aware that the target is not out of reach. Please join us for the run chase.

Ireland openers began in contrasting fashion as Paul Stirling looked at his attacking best. The skipper on the other hand could not connect too many deliveries and departed after playing a slow knock. Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector played useful cameos but it was the unbeaten 58-run partnership between Mark Adair and Curtis Campher that pushed them over the 150 mark. Mark Adair scored 37 of 15 deliveries and was ably supported by Curtis Campher who added 19 of 8 balls.

After a blistering start, Ireland have finished on a strong note as well. They would be relatively happy with their batting effort after winning the toss. They have set up a fighting total and New Zealand will know that this target of 175 will not be very easy to achieve. They will come out with positive intent and try to seal the sweep of the tour.

PITCH REPORT - Isobel Joyce is pitchside. She says it's a new wicket, but the dimensions are quite similar. Adds that the wicket is quite firm and hard, with less grass and only a few cracks. Mentions that these are good conditions for batting and the captain winning the toss should bat first.

New Zealand (Playing XI) - Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Dane Cleaver (WK), Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (C), Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner (In for Lockie Ferguson), Jacob Duffy.

Ireland (Unchanged Playing XI) - Andy Balbirnie (C), Paul Stirling, Gareth Delany, Harry Tector, George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker (WK), Curtis Campher, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Craig Young, Josh Little.

TOSS - Ireland have won the toss and they have elected to BAT first!

In the previous two games, we have witnessed a sticky and slow pitch that has not been assisting the batters. Will it be the same in the final T20I? We will find out. Stay tuned for the crucial toss and other updates.

New Zealand have been exceptional thus far. They have scored over 170 runs on a pitch that has not been easy to bat on and they have done so in both games. Different players have stepped up with the bat while it’s been a collective performance from the bowlers. They will want to replicate the same kind of show and make it 6 out of 6 wins on their tour to Ireland.
