PITCH REPORT - Claude Hendersen is pitchside. He says that the wicket has a good grass cover and there will be consistent bounce but it is a bit dry. This means that the slower bowlers will get a bit of help and teams will be looking to use the small boundaries square of the wicket. Ireland on the other hand, have been so close yet so far, way too often recently. Their batting order has been in outstanding form with some batter or the other playing a blinder. They need to be a little more disciplined in their bowling if they are to get over the line. The bowling at the beginning of the innings and towards the end still proves to be an issue for this side. Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling still need to put their best forward but the middle order has been on fire. It was Lorcan Tucker and George Dockrell who looked in fine nick in the last game but we have seen what Harry Tector and Gareth Delany are capable of.
