OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! The move to promote Mahedi Hasan has not worked for Bangladesh. He swings his bat across the line but the ball skids on sharply at him and takes the splice of his blade. Pitch report - Danny Morrison says that the surface has a nice tinge of grass and there is a little indentation. Adds that there could be some variable bounce and if the bowlers hit the right lines and lengths, they could do well.

The Oman skipper, Zeeshan Maqsood, says that they are happy to bowl first and they would look to keep Bangladesh to a low score. On being asked if there is any pressure on them, as, if they win this game, they could more or less confirm their place in the Super 12, Zeeshan replies that they had pressure in the first game and not in this one. Informs that they have one change, Fayyaz Butt is in for Khawar Ali.

The captain of Bangladesh, Mahmudullah, says that they will bat first. He says that they would like to put runs on the board and then defend it later on. He adds that dew is a factor here and they just want to put a good total on the board. About the last game, Mahamudullah explains that they didn’t get enough partnerships with the bat and the batters need to take more responsibility. He mentions that there is one change, Soumya Sarkar is out and Mohammad Naim replaces him.

Update - Scotland have secured maximum points after thumping Papua New Guinea by 17 runs. With that, they move to the top in Group B with 2 wins.

Oman made a huge statement in their tournament opener by thumping PNG by 10 wickets and have made their case really strong. Another win here will almost seal the deal for them and the home team would be looking forward to achieving that at Bangladesh's cost. The Bangla Tigers were the favourites of this group but an unexpected defeat has hurt their campaign. Losing against Scotland would have been demoralizing and that was mainly due to a disappointing batting effort. Can they pull up their socks and put up a big show?

Welcome to everyone for this vital Group B clash between Oman and Bangladesh. The former are heading into this match after an emphatic victory while the latter were shocked in their opener and find themselves precariously placed. It's already a do-or-die game for the Bangla Tigers with Scotland almost set to win their ongoing match against Papua New Guinea.
