England beat Pakistan by 67 runs

Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

That's it then from this game and this series as well. Moeen Ali has been handed the trophy and the England players are posing for some team pictures. England will now continue with their travel and go straight to Australia and play the home side in a three-game T20I series leading up to the T20 World Cup. The first match will be played on 9th October at 1.40 pm IST (8.10 am GMT). On the other hand, Pakistan will move to New Zealand to take part in a T20I tri-series which will involve Bangladesh as well. Their first match will be against Bangladesh which will be played on 7th October at 7.30 am IST (2 am GMT). Do join us for the coverage. Till then, take care and goodbye.

Moeen Ali, the skipper of England is up for a chat. He says that it was a very good series and credits his bowlers for the way they performed throughout the series. Adds that all the batters played really well too even though they failed a few times to chase down the total. Mentions that when they needed two must-win games the boys stepped up and it was amazing to see that. Ends by thanking the crowd and PCB for hosting England.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan is up for a chat. He says that it was difficult to chase 200 runs after losing early wickets. Further says that their plan didn't work from the start of the match. Says they will sit and talk about what went wrong. Tells that Haris Rauf has been positive for them. Says they are missing Shaheen Afridi and hopes to have him back soon.

Harry Brook is the PLAYER OF THE SERIES. He says that the plan is to hit the ball straight. Adds that he had a lot of practice sessions in the nets and says that he tries to hit the ball straight but when there is an opportunity he looks to manipulate the field. Mentions that all the players are looking forward to the T20 World Cup but first they need to get out and get to Australia. Ends by saying that it has been good fun to be in Pakistan.

Dawid Malan is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that they treated this game as a final and it was a fantastic effort from them. Further says that the ball was coming on the bat nicely till the 12th over but after that, it started slowing up. Adds that they will leave for Australia and hopes that they perform well.

Presentation time...

Earlier in the game, Babar Azam won the toss and put England into bat. The English batters looked aggressive and even when they lost a couple of wickets early, everyone just kept on attacking. Dawid Malan played a brilliant inning from one end which ensured that the visitors finished on a score of above 200. The Pakistani bowlers, apart from Haris Rauf, didn't pose much threat and Mohammad Wasim had a game to forget. With a mammoth total to chase down, the Pakistani openers faltered and from then on it was all England.

Pakistan have been heavily reliant on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in this series and with both of them getting out very early in the innings, life was made very difficult for them. The only shining light was Shan Masood who once again showed his class by playing a lone hand. But with plenty needed, their middle order just didn't have enough in them to get even close to the English target and they will be disappointed to lose the series in such a way in front of a packed home crowd.

England had a big score on the board and all they needed was early wickets and they got just that. The English pacers made short work of the Pakistani top order in the Powerplay and set up the game nicely. The spinners too were able to control the game in the middle phase and in the end, they won the game quite comfortably.

What a fabulous series we've had and it is England who clinched the 7-game series 4-3 and they have done so in some style. Pakistan were completely outplayed in the decider.

Mohammad Hasnain is the next man in.

Haris Rauf walks out to bat now.

Chris Woakes (3-0-20-2) is back on.

Chris Woakes ( 2-0-12-1) is back on.

Asif Ali is the new man in.

A bit of indecison from the umpire but he raises his finger for the caught-behind appeal and Khushdil Shah reviews it. The UltraEdge shows that indeed there is bat involved and Shah has to walk back.

Adil Rashid to bowl out here.

Drinks break! England are right on top at the halfway mark in the chase. They have picked up early wickets and now it is about game management. The inconsistent Pakistani middle-order has a big job on their hands and for now, Shan Masood and Khushdil Shah are showing positive signs. Still, with 142 runs needed off 60 balls, they will need to pull off a miracle here.

Sam Curran has been handed the ball now.

Moeen Ali is into the attack now.

Is that a run-out? The players appeal but then don't seem interested. Still, the umpire plays it safe and has gone upstairs! Sam Curran scores a direct hit at the bowler's end but the replays show that Shan Masood is a long way in. NOT OUT!

Khushdil Shah is the new man in.

Reece Topley comes from the other end now.

Golden chance! Every bad situation is an opportunity to get stronger and better. The middle order of Pakistan has been absent in this series so far, and with two mainstays of their batting dismissed cheaply, it's a fantastic opportunity for the batters to stand up and prove their mettle under scorboard pressure. This series was considered as a perfect way to prepare for the mega event, and Pakistan will get a shot in the arm if their middle order ends up doing something unimaginable tonight.

David Willey comes on to bowl now.

Iftikhar Ahmed is the new man in.

Shan Masood is in at number 3. Also, it will be Reece Topley to start from the other end.

He bowls this full and around off, slower too, Babar Azam looks to drive it but is early through his shot and ends up just lobbing it straight into the hands of Harry Brook stationed at short cover. Pakistan lose their first wicket and Babar Azam's night ends in dismay.

0.5 0

Full again and on off, Babar Azam drives it back to the bowler.

FOUR! Babar Azam gets off the mark in style! Chris Woakes serves this fuller and on off, Babar Azam just clips it away through wide mid on for a boundary.

On a length again and on off, Babar Azam stays back and blocks it on to the ground.

0.2 1

Pakistan are underway! This is back of a length and on off, Mohammad Rizwan taps it to the off side for a quick single.

0.1 0

Chris Woakes starts with a yorker-length delivery, on middle, Mohammad Rizwan digs it out towards mid-wicket.

We are back for the chase! The umpires and the players are back on the field and the English players take their positions on the field. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are the opening pair for Pakistan. Chris Woakes has the new ball in hand and will get proceedings underway here.

... The Chase ...

Right then, England have put on a huge target on the board and they will be confident enough to defend this. Pakistan will need a good start and their middle order needs to step up to have any chance of getting to this total. Will they be able to chase it down? Or will England defend it successfully? We will find out soon who takes the series. Stay tuned for the second essay.

Jos Buttler is up for a chat. He says they played well and Harry Brook has been great. Adds that they performed consistently well and it is a great problem to see all players performing well and they have a few more players joining them in Australia. Tells that he will get into action in Australia. Reckons the dew will play a huge role here and hopes that they can defend this.

Pakistan will be very disappointed with their bowling effort. They would have preferred to restrict England way less than this. They came back well after a poor start, sending both the openers back in the same over, but they couldn't continue the momentum. Mohammad Rizwan showed lightning-quick hands to dismiss Duckett, but Babar Azam dropped both Harry Brook and Dawid Malan which cost them dearly. Mohammad Wasim also dropped Malan at the backend. However, Haris Rauf was the pick of their bowlers who conceded just 24 runs in his four overs.

The English batters picked up from where they left off in the last game. They continued their attacking approach and every batter contributed with some quick runs. They started off well with Alex Hales and Philip Salt but lost both the openers in one over just before the Powerplay. However, after that Dawid Malan and Ben Duckett built a solid partnership of 62 runs before Duckett got out on 30 off just 19 balls. Then Harry Brook came in and added another 108 runs to the total with Malan. Dawid Malan and Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 78 and 46 respectively. The batters have done their job and it is up to their bowlers to finish it.

England have put on another scintillating batting performance and have posted a huge total of 209 runs in this deciding game. Pakistan will have to break the record of the highest total chased in Lahore to win the game and the series which is going to be a tough task.

Mohammad Wasim (3-0-41-0) to bowl the last over. He will be low on confidence after the dropped catch in the previous over and this could work in favour of England.

A review is taken for LBW by Babar Azam. Ball Tracking shows that it is pitching outside leg and the original decision of not out remains.

Haris Rauf (3-0-18-0) to bowl the penultimate over.

Mohammad Hasnain replaces Haris Rauf. He has conceded 18 runs in his three overs and picked up a wicket.

Mohammad Wasim (2-0-27-0) comes back into the attack.

Haris Rauf is back on. He has conceded 13 runs in his two overs.

Harry Brook gets a blow on the helmet off the bat and there will be a mandatory concussion check carried out. The physio is out and having a look. Brook looks to be fine and we are good to continue.

Iftikhar Ahmed to bowl out here.

Mohammad Wasim (1-0-15-0) is back on.

Drinks! England have already crossed the 100-run mark in 10 overs and they are scoring at a good rate despite losing three wickets. Pakistan got the much needed breakthrough just before the break and they will look to put more pressure on the batters now. An exciting session of cricket awaits us. Shadab Khan to continue after the break.

Harry Brook walks out to bat now.

Iftikhar Ahmed has been introduced into the attack now.

Shadab Khan comes into the attack now.

Haris Rauf is feeling a bit unwell here. He is getting hydrated and looks good to go now.

Ben Duckett comes out to the middle now.

Dawid Malan walks in to bat at number 3.

Haris Rauf comes on to replace Mohammad Hasnain.

Mohammad Wasim comes into the attack as first change.

Mohammad Hasnain to operate from the opposite end.

We are ready for play! The umpires are out in the middle and so are the players of Pakistan. Philip Salt and Alex Hales are the openers for England. Some spin to start proceedings as Mohammad Nawaz has ben handed the new ball. Let's play...

England (Playing XI) - Philip Salt (WK), Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Moeen Ali (C), Sam Curran, Chris Woakes (In for Richard Gleeson), David Willey, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley.

Pakistan (Playing XI) - Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Rizwan (WK) (In for Mohammad Haris), Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim, Haris Rauf (In for Shahnawaz Dahani), Mohammad Hasnain (In for Aamer Jamal).

TOSS - The coin goes up and Babar Azam calls it right. Pakistan have elected to BOWL first.

England will féel that they have the chance to win the series from here on touring Pakistan after 16 years, and they will try and make this tour memorable and this will also boost their energy before the World Cup. Their batting and bowling both have been on par which was expected due to all the chopping and changing of players. However, their batters were on song in the last game and they will look to replicate that here. . Both teams will give their all to win the series and finish on a positive note. Let's see who comes out on top. Toss and team news in a bit.
