So, that is it from this game! PAKISTAN ARE THROUGH TO THE SEMIS! Action from the T20 World Cup continues on Wednesday as there are yet again two games. New Zealand take on Scotland first and then India will be facing Afghanistan. Action begins at 1400 local (1000 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!

Babar Azam, the Pakistan skipper, says, they started the campaign brilliantly and are just carrying on their form. Mentions, they had a different plan today to bat first, they started slowly and made sure to take it deep. Adds, Hafeez is the senior player of the squad and he is glad he could find his form in the game. Also, praises efforts of Hasan Ali with the new ball today. Adds, it became difficult to field with a little bit of dew. Ends by saying, they will try to execute their plans and give it their all in the semi-finals.

The skipper of Namibia, Gerhard Erasmus, says that Pakistan look like serious title contenders and they played really well. Mentions that the road ahead is not easy as they have New Zealand to face next and they are a great side. Says that they will take the learning from this match and will look to perform better. Adds that his finger is getting better.

Mohammad Rizwan, wins the man of the match award for his gun blazing effort with the blade. He says that at the start it was difficult to play as the pitch was tricky. Mentions that Namibia bowled really well first but he took the match deep to get runs and put up a good total. Tells that the plan was to get runs in the back end and it worked well. Adds that their team has been performing well and each and every player is contributing and have all their boxes ticked.

... PRESENTATION TIME ...

Earlier on in the innings, after opting to bat, Pakistan batters started slowly, as they were not familiar with the conditions. But the batters grew slowly into the innings and smacked around 190-runs on the scoreboard. Later, Namibia started off really well, but they kept losing wickets regularly and could not take the game deep. Pakistan passed the hurdle with ease in the end.

For Pakistan, the positive with the ball was Hasan Ali who did find some form. However, Shaheen and Shadab did not have the best days. Overall though, Pakistan will be pleased with how they fared in this game. Also, with this win Pakistan have qualified to the semi-finals from Group 2.

Yet another win for Pakistan! This was never in doubt to be honest after they smashed something close to 190. Namibia though can still be proud of their effort with the bat, especially after their performance against Afghanistan. They came out and looked to play with good intent, there were some good innings from Williams, Braad and Wiese. They though would have loved for one of them to go and make it big but that was not the case.

Commentary

We are back for Namibia's reply! Pakistan players form a huddle and then stride out to the middle. Stephan Baard and Michael Van Lingen are the openers for Namibia. Shaheen Afridi to start with the ball.

... THE RUN CHASE ...

The target is a huge one, Namibia would do well even if they get close to it! They will need someone to play once in a lifetime knock if they are to do so. Pakistan on the other hand, will back themselves to defend it. Can they continue their winning run or are we in for a surprise?

Mohammad Hafeez is in for a chat. He says, he played the last two games with an intent but he could not contribute much. But he managed to play technically and it worked in his favour today. Mentions, Rizwan is an outstanding player, he had in his mind to stay out for long after Azam slipped out. They had 170 runs in mind, but they got a little extra and he is happy about it. On being asked about the dew out there, Hafeez says, he didn't notice any dew.

The Namibia bowlers were taken to the cleaners. That was not the case for the first 10 overs though as their bowlers bowled with great control and kept Pakistan quiet. However, it all changed after the Drinks break! The Pakistan batters upped the ante and then there was no stopping them. Except for Frylinck and Wiese, all the others took a beating, especially Smit who conceded 24 in the last over and 50 in total.

That is a brilliant performance with the bat by Pakistan and they have probably batted Namibia out of the game! The skipper's decision of batting first has been justified. However, the start was quite slow from their openers. They were going at below 6 per over in the first 8 but once the two batters got their eye in, runs started to flow. They added a 100-plus run stand before Babar fell. Zaman too did not last for long but the partnership between Rizwan and Hafeez is what took the game away from Namibia. The two added over 60 in no time and that helped Pakistan finish really strongly.

17.24

FOUR! Hafeez is dealing in boundaries here! This one is fortunate but he will take it! This is fuller and outside off, Hafeez looks to go over covers but this flies more off the outer half towards deep cover-point. David Wiese runs to his left and then dives forward, fails to get to the ball and it goes behind for a boundary. Good try by David but in vain.

Ruben Trumpelmann (3-1-19-0) to bowl out.

17.14

FOUR! Hafeez is toying with the field here! Outstanding stuff! Ruben Trumpelmann bowls it full and outside off, Hafeez just goes down on one knee and then guides it past the diving short fine leg fielder for a boundary.

16.50

Hafeez will feel he missed out there! This is angled into the pads, Hafeez tries to flick but misses. It hits the pad and rolls on the leg side. Rizwan wants a run but is sent back.

16.44

FOUR! Deft! This is outstanding! What batting! This is not a bad delivery but the class of Hafeez shows there. A slower one on off, Hafeez just waits and then guides it between point and short third man. It races away to the fence.

Both the teams walk out to the middle, for their respective national anthems. It will be Namibia's anthem first, followed by the one of Pakistan. Now, we are done with all the pre-match proceedings. The Namibia players are out in the middle. Followed by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan who come out to bat for Pakistan. But before the ball is bowled, Namibian players show their support by raising the right hand, while Pakistan players have their hand placed on their chest for the Black Lives Matter movement. Ruben Trumpelmann to start with the ball.

The Namibian skipper, Gerhard Erasmus, is in for a chat. He says, they would’ve tried to bowl first. The dew factor coming in later as the game progresses should help them. Mentions, it a real challenge for the side and the guys will be up for it. Adds that, they have two changes to the side. The two spinners Pikky Ya France and Bernard Scholtz go out. Ben Shikongo and Stephan Baard make their way into the side.

Babar Azam, the Pakistan skipper, says that they will bat first. Mentions that they will try to test their batters and put pressure on them. Adds that the pitch looks good for batting and they will look to put a good score. Informs that they are unchanged.

Namibia (Playing XI) - Stephan Baard (In for Pikky Ya France), Zane Green (WK), Craig Williams, Gerhard Erasmus (C), David Wiese, JJ Smit, Jan Frylinck, Michael Van Lingen, Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Ruben Trumpelmann, Ben Shikongo (In for Bernard Scholtz).

Pakistan (Unchanged playing XI) - Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi.

TOSS - Both the skippers, Gerhard Erasmus and Babar Azam, stride out to the middle for an all-important toss. The coin goes up and lands in favour of Pakistan. They have opted to BAT first.

Namibia, on the other hand, started off with a win against Scotland. But they got the real taste of the bigger stage when they were troubled by Afghanistan and could not get over the line. But they did put a good fight. But this time, they have a bigger task in front of them. It is quite a task to put Pakistan in a precarious position it will take a lot for Namibia to shake this invincible Pakistan side. The batters should focus on stitching partnerships in the middle and the bowlers should restrict giving away too many extras. How will the players fare against the tougher opponents? We shall find out soon, as the toss is not far away.

Pakistan have shown all-round performance in this campaign. They look to be like a complete team. Their top-order, middle-order and the bowlers have all stepped up whenever the team required them. Rauf and Afridi have bowled with fire throughout the campaign. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan seem to be on a different pitch whenever they come out with their blade. While, the finisher Asif Ali has shown class whenever the burden was on his shoulders. In the last game, Malik could no support him till the end, but Ali made sure to go gun blazing to get his side over the line. Pakistan have made it three wins on the trot and will look to extend their winning streak in this campaign.

Hello and welcome to all! It is time for game number 31 in the T20 World Cup, 2021. In this game, Pakistan will be locking horns against Namibia. Pakistan are looking like a dangerous side in this campaign. Namibia, on the other hand, have been able to get a win of their two outings and are placed fourth on the points table, while India are a spot below them. Can Namibia pull a rabbit out of the hat and inch closer to the table-toppers?
