Right then, that is all we have from this game. Pakistan have a 2-0 lead in this series and with series already in their bag, they would be looking to grab the remaining 10 points of the World Cup Super League in the next game. West Indies also would like to finish on high and get those crucial 10 points. The final ODI will be played on Sunday, 12th of June and it will start at 4.30 pm IST (11 am GMT). Our coverage though will start in advance. So do join us for the same. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Babar Azam, the skipper of Pakistan, says early on, the wicket was two-paced so they just wanted to build a partnership. Adds that due to the middle order collapse they were short of a few runs. Regarding Khushdil Shah, they wanted to give him the finishing role but he applauds the tailenders for scoring crucial runs. Shares that he knew their spinners will get purchase and lauds the way they bowl.

Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of West Indies, says that it was a tough game for them. Tells that they gave away 20 runs extra and adds that the conditions were tough. Mentions that their death bowling has been an issue for quite a long time and they are a young team and hopefully they will improve. Tells that credit should be given to Nawaz for the way he bowled and the conditions were tough and they needed to build partnerships and there were many soft dismissals. Hopes that they will learn from the experience and come back better in the next game.

Mohammad Nawaz is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant spell of 10-0-19-4. He says he was just focusing on his basics and to bowl in good areas. Adds that the way the ball was spinning, he had an idea and he knew there was some help in this pitch for the spinners. Tells that finger spinners are comparatively easier to play but they too were getting some spin. Shares that he is confident with the bat too and as an all-rounder he only wants to improve.

Time for the Presentation.

Earlier in the game, West Indies bowlers bowled well to restrict Pakistan to a par score of 275. The pitch had some help for spinners as Akeal Hosein showed with the ball in hand bowling a very good spell and picking up three wickets on the way. Pakistan lost the way with the bat in the middle after yet another century partnership between Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam. Both of them got to their respective fifties but overall, it was their brilliant bowling performance, especially the pressure their spinners built in the middle overs that won them this game.

This game was another classic example of how much West Indies are dependent on Shai Hope to bat through the innings. He departed in the first over and though there was a good counter-attacking partnership between Mayers and Brooks, the real test was always going to be against the spinners on the track that had some help for them. Mayers lost his wicket off the last ball of the Powerplay 1 and that opened the floodgates as spinners were brought into the attack by Babar Azam. Nawaz struck in his very first over and skipper, Pooran joined Brooks in the middle. However, after a 30 runs partnership, Nawaz got rid of Brooks and West Indies were soon restricted to 120-7 and eventually were bowled out for just 155. Nawaz finished with four wickets while Wasim took three and Shadab finished with two wickets. Not to forget, Shaheen Afridi who took a big wicket of Shai Hope in the very first over.

What a bowling performance this has been from Pakistan! They have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in this three-match ODI series and have grabbed 20 important World Cup Super League points from this series so for. For West Indies, on the other hand, this game will be an eye-opener in terms of showing them how much they need to improve in order to compete with the best in the business in an ODI game.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! Pakistan players are out there in the middle. Shai Hope and Kyle Mayers are the openers for West Indies. Shaheen Afridi to start with the ball for Pakistan. Here we go...

...THE RUN CHASE…

Right then! A must win game for the Windies and the bowlers have done their job. It is up to the batters to chase it down and they will look up to the likes of Hope and Brooks to cash in and it's also a good stage for their skipper, Pooran to get some runs under his belt. Stay tuned as the chase is coming up next.

Akeal Hosein is up for a quick chat. He says that it is a good feeling to get wickets and he tries to stick to the team plans and his game plan is simple. Tells that the wicket is a bit slower but overall a good wicket. Mentions that he tries to bowl straight to Babar and turn the ball. Says that they are confident of chasing down this total.

Pakistan will be slightly disappointed as 300 was possible on this pitch. The way Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam were batting they were on course to post a big score. The duo put on a stand worth of 120-run and once they perished after reaching their respective fifties, there was a middle-order collapse. There was a nice platform for Khushdil Shah to give the finishing touches but he was struggling to time the ball but his job was done by Mohammad Wasim and Shaheen Afridi as they hit some crucial runs in the backend and post a par total.

Some impressive bowling from West Indies in the final phase made sure Pakistan do not post a huge total. They were on the mark with their bowling especially Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein who were excellent. Hosein in particular got a good purchase and some sharp turns as well. He got the big wicket of Babar Azam and from there the collapse started. They did give away 27 runs in the last two overs but overall, it was a really good outing for the bowlers.

Some crucial cameos at the backend help Pakistan get past the 270-mark as at one point even 250 was looking doubtful. Still, West Indies will be really happy with their bowling display.

West Indies players take knee while Pakistan players keep their hand on their heart in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Alzarri Joseph will start with the ball for West Indies. TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of Pakistan. They have elected to BAT first.

Multan will host this match and there will be no reprieve for the players as the conditions will be tough to play at. The temperature is around 40s and players will be ready to play in taxing flaming heat. It is a must win game for West Indies and the first match saw the batters doing an incredible job to score above 300 but they were coming against a top side who didn’t back out easily and chased it pretty comfortably in the end. Pakistan are always coming in as the favorites and they will hope to sweep this series as well and also grab crucial World Cup Super League points. Will the Windies level things up or Pakistan make it 5-0 overall in this tour? We will find out soon. Stay tuned for the toss and other updates.
