That's it from this game! Lucknow lose their second match after winning three on the bounce. This win takes Rajasthan to the top of the points table. What a nail-biter this fixture was and expect some more on the way. We will be back on 11th April, Monday where Hyderabad will take on Gujarat. It's a battle between fire and ice. You don't want to miss that. That game will start at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) but the build-up will begin well in advance. Make sure you tune in for that. Until then, adios!

Yuzvendra Chahal wins the Man of the Match award for his exceptional spell with the ball (4-0-41-4). He says, there was just a bad patch that he was going through earlier. Says, his main strength is his mind and he used it to focus it on getting back into the game. Further says, he is the happiest by taking Quinton de Kock’s wicket. Says, he does not think much about achieving records. Says, there won’t be much reels coming out anymore, with too many games around the corner.

Sanju Samson, the skipper of Rajasthan is up for a chat. He says that it feels good to be at the top of the table. Mentions that he was confident about Kuldeep Sen and he bowled very well. Tells that he saw him in Syed Mushtaq and he nails his wide yorkers. Informs that Trent Boult came to him and said that change of plans and just informed him that he will be bowling from 'round the wicket. Tells that Boult's skills are commendable. Laughs that conversations with Hetmyer are funny. Says that it's just about have you eaten, have you slept well and is he happy, that's it. Tells that he has a lot of experience and has a great cricketing sense and is doing the job for them. On asked about Ashwin's retired out, he says that it is just about being Rajasthan and different from others. Credits Chahal for bowling well and says that he is the greatest leg-spinner India has seen in the present.

Trent Boult is in for a quick chat. He says, it was a late call to bowl over the wickets to KL Rahul. Mentions, it was Jimmy Neesham who persuaded him for the same. Adds, it was a good feeling to get a couple wickets in the end. Mentions, he just aims to pitch it up and use the new ball to its benefit. Says, there is some language barrier with Kuldeep but he bowled with fire throughout and adds that it has been very exciting to see him zip the ball.

KL Rahul, the skipper of Lucknow, starts by saying he did not even see the ball served by Boult. Says that there is a good depth in the side. Adds that even with 20/3 the teams still believed they could get over the line if they played to their potential. Mentions, sending Stoinis down the order was always the plan. Adds the depth really makes it easier for him to shuffle the pack and pressurises that the side will continue to remain unpredictable whenever required. Mentions, their death bowling has really stood out in the past games. Says, the bowler can have an off day and as a team, they will just learn from it and try to be better next time around.

Stick around for the interviews....

You just can't write a script for such an over. You just dream of it - That is what Alan Wilkins described on-air after watching the first over of Trent Boult as he took the matter into his own hands and got KL Rahul and Krishnappa Gowtham in the first over itself bowling two lovely inswinging deliveries. If that wasn't enough Prasidh Krishna got a wicket as well later to put Rajasthan completely on top. Their bowlers maintained the pressure throughout and never let Lucknow to get away with the game. Yuzvendra Chahal took a total of 4 wickets in the match and things seemed to be done and dusted but things got pretty close towards the end as 15 runs were needed off the last over. However, the debutant Kuldeep Sen kept his calm and defended it in the end. Sensational bowling performance from Rajasthan and they have got another 2 important points in their bag.

Lucknow had a below-par total to chase but had the worst of starts as KL Rahul and Krishnappa Gowtham departed for ducks and Jason Holder got out for a timid score as well inside the Powerplay itself. They were put under tremendous pressure and it was up to Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda to bail them out of the situation but it wasn't to be. None of their batters seemed to be in their elements and couldn't play a breezy inning which was the need of the hour for Lucknow except for Marcus Stoinis who took the game pretty deep and batted amazingly well as he almost took his team over the line but in the end, lost the game by just 3 runs. A positive thing for them to take though as they have paid big bucks for Marcus Stoinis in the auction and playing his first game this season, he showed great signs and batted very positively.

What a game of cricket! Absolute thriller! Pretty sure everyone watching the game were biting their nails till the last ball. Rajasthan needed something special from their bowlers after managing to get just 165 on a Wankhede pitch and their bowlers didn't disappoint them. Kuldeep Sen did absoultely well to defend 15 runs off the last over especially after Prasidh Krishna conceding 19 runs in the peunultimate over. Their bowlers rose to the occasion and stepped up handing them the win. Credit to Marcus Stoinis though who playing a fabulous knock at the end. If Krunal Pandya had taken that catch of Hetmyer when he was on 14, things might have ended differently for them but nevertheless, they ended up on the wrong side and would be looking to make amends in the next game.

Commentary

The chase is set to begin. Rajasthan players stride out to the middle. Followed by KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock who walk out to open for Lucknow. Trent Boult to start with the new ball.

... The Run Chase ...

Right then. The Lucknow bowlers have done their job by restricting Rajasthan to a below-par score. The onus now is on the batters to chase down the target and extend their winning run in their maiden season. Rajasthan though won't make it an easy outing for the new side. An enticing chase coming up shortly.

Shimron Hetmyer is in for a chat. He says that it was a little bit difficult to start and playing against spinners was tough. Tells that the ball is sticking onto the surface a bit. Mentions that he respects Holder a lot but he had to bat deep and take on every bowler. On asked about Ashwin's retired out strategy, he says that he has no idea what happened there and did not expect it but says that it was a good decision. Says that they have a good chance and they will need to bowl in the right areas.

A great bowling performance by Lucknow overall! Lucknow could not do much to restrict the run flow in the Powerplay, but their spinners did well to trouble the batters and get Lucknow back into the game. It was Avesh Khan who drew first blood off his very first delivery, although it was Krishnappa Gowtham who stole the limelight, with two wickets in his first over.

The decision of pushing Ashwin above Riyan Parag did work really well for Rajasthan. The fifth-wicket stand helped Rajasthan to steady their ship. It all went wrong for Rajasthan after losing Jos Buttler. There was a mini-collapse that took place as Rajasthan lost three wickets in quick succession. Although a stand of 68 runs between Ashwin and Hetmyer added some respect to the scoreboard for Rajasthan. Riyan Parag came in as Ravichandran Ashwin was deemed retired out, which allowed Parag to free his arms in the final over.

So 165 is what Rajasthan could get on the board. It looks to be under par. It was never going to be easy to set a target on this wicket. Rajasthan got off to a flyer, but the slowness of the deck got the better of them at one stage. Lucknow dominated the proceedings in the middle overs but would be a tad disappointed with the runs leaked at the death.

Trent Boult is the new man in.

19.5W

OUT! CAUGHT! Finally, Lucknow manage to get a wicket but the damage has already been done. Short ball from Holder, on middle. Riyan Parag looks to pull but miscues it as it was a slower ball. The ball goes to deep square leg where Krishnappa Gowtham charges forward and takes a good diving catch.

19.46

SIX! Riyan Parag comes to the party now! This is quality batting from Rajasthan at the backend. Jason Holder keeps delivering full tosses and the batters just keep hitting it away. Another full toss, on the pads. Riyan Parag whips it over deep square leg for a biggie.

19.31

Short of a length, on middle. Pulled to long on for a single.

19.26

SIX! This is superb batting from Shimron Hetmyer! A full toss, outside off. Shimron Hetmyer gets underneath the ball and smacks it with immense power over long on for a huge maximum. He has played a huge role here and will look to end this innings on a high.

They would bank on Shimron Hetmyer to bat deep and take them to a respectable total while Lucknow would hope they can quickly get rid of him and would look to restrict them to anything below 150.

The game is set to begin. The Lucknow players are seen to be in a huddle near the ropes before they take the field. Followed by Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler who walk out to open for Rajasthan. Dushmantha Chameera to start with the new ball. Here we go...

Sanju Samson, the captain of Rajasthan, says that they did the same thing in the last match to post a total on the board. Wants to see how the pitch will behave and then decide on the target. Tells that nothing can be done about the toss and their team is well balanced to take care of that challenge. Informs Kuldeep Sen and Rassie van der Dussen are in the playing 11.

KL Rahul, the Lucknow skipper, is in for a chat. He says they will bowl first. Says they just want to know what target they have to chase and hopefully, some dew to play a part later on. Says he will try to pace his innings well and hopes he stays out till the end. Further says when the players do a great job, the pressure on the skipper eases. Ends by saying Marcus Stoinis and Dushmantha Chameera make way into the side.

Rajasthan (Playing XI) - Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson(C/ WK), Rassie van der Dussen (In for Yashasvi Jaiswal), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Kuldeep Sen (In for Navdeep Saini), Ravichandran Ashwin, Prasidh Krishna, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal.

TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of Lucknow. They have opted to BOWL first.

No need to wait for the action! A game is already going on between Kolkata and Delhi with the former needing 125 more to win off 60 balls. You can switch tabs and have a sneak peek. But don't forget to get back here in time.

Lucknow are coming on the back of three wins. They are making a solid statement in their first ever campaign. The depth on display has been unreal. Ayush Badoni is the man to watch out for. Rajasthan do have a good mix of bowlers at their disposal. Also, with the form Yuzvendra Chahal is in, he can do wonders in the middle overs for them. A lot of exciting match-ups coming up. Stay tuned for the toss and more updates.

Hello and a warm welcome to all. It is time for game number 20 which sees a contest between Rajasthan and Lucknow. Both sides look to have ample quality in their squad, this game should be no less than a cracker.
