Commentary

Jos Buttler is named Player of the Match for his superb ton. Right! That's all from this game. However, don't forget that it is super Sunday and it is the double-header day. Switch tab and enjoy the action between Delhi and Punjab. It is goodbye from here.

Earlier in the day, on the back of a scintillating century from Buttler and a fine knock from skipper Samson, Rajasthan posted a mammoth score for Hyderabad. It was a poor bowling show from Hyderabad. New skipper Williamson finished the 4 overs of Rashid by the 11th over and it turned out poor call as Rajasthan batters played out him calmly and went bang, bang against the others. Apart from him, all the bowlers were hammered in all parts of the ground and eventually the total that they conceded was too big for their batters.

Rajasthan didn't start well as their bowlers were hit to all parts by Bairstow and Pandey in the Powerplay. However, once Mustafizur got the first wicket, the bowlers put pressure on the other batters. Tewatia got the big wicket of Bairstow and the game was more or less won for them then only. Tyagi did a superb job in his 4 overs while Rahman and Morris bagged 3-fers to help the team seal the deal and bag 2 important points.

Chasing the total, Hyderabad started really well as the openers, Bairstow and Pandey scored 57 in the Powerplay. However, both fell in back-to-back overs, leaving the side reeling. After that, they failed to find the fence and as the pressure got big, they kept losing wickets regularly to fall well short of the target. Their idea of leaving out Warner and playing the spinning all-rounder didn't go in their favor as Nabi bowled just one over and he couldn't do much with the bat either.

An easy win for Rajasthan here! After their batters put on a massive show, it was always going to be tough for the opposition. Hyderabad did start well but once the opening stand was broken, the run chase lost the track completely and it is a comfortable victory for Rajasthan.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! The Rajasthan players are in a huddle with the skipper sharing a few thoughts with his troops. Jonny Bairstow has a new partner in Manish Pandey. Kartik Tyagi will begin with the ball for Rajasthan. Here we go...

Right! Rajasthan have got to a big score here. Now, it is up to their bowlers to defend it. Hyderabad does not have Warner. Who will open for them? It is going to be interesting to find out. Let's see if the change of personnel works for the team. Join us for the chase which begins in a short while.

Jos Buttler, the centurion, is caught for a little chat. He says that he enjoyed this knock and he had some fun and their total is a good one. Feels that he did not find it easy at the start and he just looked to find a way to get back into form and he did that well today. Says that he was looking to just hang around when Rashid was bowling. Tells that he has spent a lot of time in the middle order, where he does not get a lot of opportunities to score a century and it was good to score this. Feels that they will have to bowl well, as it is a small ground and the outfield is quick.

Hyderabad started well with the ball. The new skipper brought Rashid in the attack as early as the 3rd over and the Afghan didn't disappoint him as he got the wicket in his first over. He bowled tight 4 overs but failed to get another wicket. The likes of Bhuvneshwar, Sandeep, and Khaleel failed to stop the Buttler-Samson show as the duo went hammer and tongs. Apart from Nabi, Shankar and Sandeep were the ones who managed a wicket apiece. All the bowlers were smashed all over the park and now, their batters have got a big target to chase.

Asked to bat first, Rajasthan lost Jaiswal in the third over of the game but Buttler and Samson got together for a good partnership. The duo took a bit of risk as well and added a century-plus stand. Buttler reached his half ton and then got going. It wasn't one of the best Buttler knocks but a very vital one for his side as he didn't throw his wicket away and kept going. Skipper Samson too played a fine knock. The 150-run stand was eventually broken when Samson holed out at long off. Buttler though continued as he brought up his first Indian T20 ton and took the team over 200 before getting dismissed on the last ball of the penultimate over. Miller then finished the innings with a biggie to get the total to 220.

What a finish to the innings from Miller and Rajasthan have put on a massive score here! What an outstanding batting performance from them led by Buttler. 143 runs in the last 10 overs and most of them came off the willow of Buttler. The man who was out of form and struggled in the first half of his innings has played a gem of a knock to take the team to a big score.

A length ball, way outside off, Buttler swings his blade at this but the ball takes the inside edge and crashes into the furniture behind.

Strategic Time Out! This has been a fine start from Rajasthan. They lost Jaiswal early but Buttler and Samson are looking in flow right now. The duo has already added 50 between them and if they can stay for a few more overs, we will witness more fireworks. Hyderabad need someone to support Rashid with the ball. Let's see if any of the other bowlers can or Rashid himself will have to do something on his own. Interesting phase coming up. Rashid Khan is back for his 3rd.

OUT! LBW! Plumb this time! It is Rashid who wins the battle, eventually. Jaiswal has to go. The ploy to bring Rashid works for Williamson here. This one is quicker through the air and around off and middle, Jaiswal stays back and tries to flick but misses to put any bat on this square one. An appeal and the umpire raises his finger this time. Jaiswal has a chat with his senior partner at the other end. They do not go for the review. Rashid has got the breakthrough. Replays later show that it would've hit the middle pole. So, a good call not to review.

The skipper, Sanju Samson makes his way out now. Also, Khaleel Ahmed is introduced into the attack.

2.50

Very full and around off, drilled to the cover fiedler.

2.44

FOUR! Crunched! Jaiswal is taking Rashid on here. He attacked him from the start and he is winning the battle so far. A flatter ball, this one is just outside off, Jaiswal waits on the back foot and crunches it through covers.

2.14

FOUR! And Jaiswal welcomes him with a boundary. Rashid floats thie one on middle, Jaiswal gets down and sweeps it over backward square leg for a boundary.

Right! It is time for the action. The Hyderabad players take the field following the two umpires. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the innings for Rajasthan. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will open the bowling for Hyderabad. Here we go...

Rajasthan (Playing XI) - Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (WK/C), Anuj Rawat (In for Shivam Dube), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris, Kartik Tyagi (In for Jaydev Unadkat), Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman.

Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan skipper, tells that the wicket is really good. Tells that they will have to start well in the Powerplay and then build on the innings. Feels that anything around 190-210 can be a good total. Informs that they have two changes. Kartik Tyagi replaces Jaydev Unadkat who is resting and Shivam Dube sits out for Anuj Rawat who makes his debut for them.

Hyderabad (Playing XI) - Jonny Bairstow (WK), Kane Williamson (C), Manish Pandey, Abdul Samad, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Mohammad Nabi (In for David Warner), Rashid Khan, Abdul Samad (In for Jagadeesha Suchith), Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (In for Siddarth Kaul).

Kane Williamson, the new Hyderabad skipper, says that they will bowl first, and after a few conversations with people who have played here, they feel that this is a good decision and they think that this is a good surface. Informs that they have 3 changes as Samad, Nabi, and Bhuvi are back and Warner, Kaul, and Suchith miss out. Feels that they know as a group, that they have to come together and it has been tough, but it is important to try and make those few improvements. Says that the change is sudden and so, he will look to be better as a group and he knows that there is a lot of work to do. Tells that wickets in the Powerplay will be handy, but as a group, they will try to operate with the resources that they have.

TOSS - It is time for the flip of the coin. Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson and the new skipper for Hyderabad Kane Williamson are out in the middle for the toss. Up it goes and it lands in favor of Williamson. Hyderabad will BOWL FIRST.

Ajit Agarkar inspects the pitch from distance. He says that there is a nice and even covering of grass. Tells that if the batsman can get it, they can play big shots. Adds that at one of the ends, there are rough patches and someone like Rashid can use that to their advantage. Ends by saying that it still is a belter of a wicket.

Tom Moody, the Hyderabad coach is in for a chat! Warner will not be playing in today's game, says Tom Moody first-up, and they have come to the conclusion that this was a choice they had to make. Further adds that they were ecstatic to see Williamson and Bairstow in such good shape, and they had to make a difficult decision. States that Warner was surprised and frustrated, but he has accepted the reasoning and rallied behind the team.

Breaking news out of the Hyderabad camp! It has been confirmed that David Warner will not be in the playing XI for Hyderabad for today's game. Will it be Jason Roy who will be replacing him? We will find out.

Hello and a warm welcome to another Super Sunday. It is the day where we have two games lined up for us and that means that the excitement is doubled as well. Focusing on the first game, we will see the clashing of swords between Hyderabad and Rajasthan. Two teams who have not fared well so far and will be looking to find some momentum, starting with a victory here. For Hyderabad, they put out a statement that Kane Williamson will be leading their troops for the remainder of the season and they are making some changes to their foreign players as well. Will David Warner be dropped? Or will he play? Will this change of leadership bring a victory to the Orange Army? All your questions will be answered. Stay tuned as we bring you the toss and the team news.
