The Lankan skipper has been awarded the trophy! He goes onto celebrate with his teammates! So, that is the end from this game and this tour, India won the ODI series and the Lankans the T20I series. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. If you want to follow more cricket, you can switch tabs and catch all the action from the 100. Untill next time, take care and goodbye!

Shanaka looks to be very pleased out there. Starts off by thanking BCCI and special thanks to Shikhar Dhawan and Rahul Dravid and as for the question, yes it was by far their best bowling performance. Mentions he uses his bowlers smartly and puts himself in when required. Says that not only him, but all the boys put in the hard work as they want to become world class. Says many individuals are gems to SriLankan cricket and the hard work pays off. Expects to get a more positive start but adds that the players are young and will get better and better.

Shikhar Dhawan says he enjoyed the seires, it was a difficult situation for them and it was a good series for him as a captain and he is proud of how the boys played even in the matches they lost, the players showed a lot of character. States they wanted to win, it was an off day with the bat, they will analyze about it and try to improve. He feels they lost a lot of wickets and the Lankans bowled really well and there was a lot of pressure on them. Ends by saying he agrees that both the teams played in great spirit and he informs he was sharing his experience with the Lankan youngsters after the game.

MOM and Man of the Series, Wanindu Hasaranga, the birthday boy says the wicket was slow and our spinners bowled well. He always tries to bowl dot balls which helps him take wickets and the fielding was really good today. Mentions he is really happy that the boys played really well throughout both the series.

Earlier in the day, after being inserted India were bundled out for a very low score courtesy a brilliant performance from Hasaranga and the other Lankan bowlers. The target was chased down easily by the hosts to seal the series.

You really can't blame the bowlers to be honest! They did try their best. Especially Chahar who was quite magical! However, they just did not have enough, actually they did not even have close to enough.

A comfortable win in the end for Lanka! You could just see that they wanted to win this. Normally, chasing such a small target, teams would come out and go all guns blazing but that was not the case. They took their time and eventually got to the target. They though would have loved to chase it down without losing as many wickets as they did but they will still be happy. They just needed a couple of their batters to get off to starts and that was the case. Dhananjaya de Silva though was yet again the top scorer for them.

Commentary

Right then, we are ready for the chase. It should be a cake walk for Sri Lanka but let's see if India can make a match out of this one. The Indian players are out in the middle along with the Sri Lankan openers, Avishka Fernando and Minod Bhanuka. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the ball in his hands and will get us underway.

The Lankan bowling was superb! The birthday boy, Hasaranga was the star but it was a complete performance. Except for Akila and Chamika Karunaratne everybody had a wicket at least but the former was very economical. The bowlers have done their job and it is now onto their batters who should chase this down. No matter how tough the wicket is, it should be an easy win for the Lankans.

End of a sorry batting display from the Indians and this should be an easy win for the Lankans! After electing to bowl, Chameera got rid of Dhawan in the very first over and India since then, just never recovered. They were 4 down in the Powerplay and with just 5 specialist batters in the side, it is very difficult to get to a competitive total after that. The top scorer for the visitors was Kuldeep Yadav which speaks volumes about how bad they were with the bat.

The umpires have gone upstairs. The ball was juggled a bit while the catch was taken and hence, the umpires just want to make sure that it's a clear catch. The replay shows that Chamika Karunaratne had taken it clearly on to the chest and the ball did not touch the ground. Varun Chakravarthy is a goner! Chetan Sakariya is the new batsman.

16.30

Flatter and on middle, defended.

Here we go! Time for the decider. Sri Lankan players have spread out on the field and Dushmantha Chameera has been given the new ball. Shikhar Dhawan and Ruturaj Gaikwad are India's openers.

India (PLAYING XI) - Shikhar Dhawan (C), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (WK), Nitish Rana, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Rahul Chahar, Sandeep Warrier, Chetan Sakariya, Varun Chakravarthy.

Sri Lanka (PLAYING XI) - Avishka Fernando, Pathum Nissanka, Minod Bhanuka (WK), Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka (C), Ramesh Mendis, Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Akila Dananjaya, Dushmantha Chameera.

So, it is not Sai Kishore, it is Sandeep Warrier who makes his debut! A pacer for a pacer. Saini did not get an over yesterday, will Warrier get one today? Also, a change for Lanka as Pathum Nissanka comes in for Udana. An extra batter for them. However, Udana was not picked as he is injured.

Dasun Shanaka says he is happy to bowl first. Adds it is a big game for them and they would love to win it. Informs Udana sits out because of injury.

Shikhar Dhawan says they want to put up a target and then do well with the ball as they have a strong bowling attack. He says they have come here to win and want to win and are not going to take any pressure. Informs Sandeep Warrier will be making his debut in place of the injured Saini.

Time for the TOSS! Up goes the coin, Shikhar calls tails and tails it is. Shikhar Dhawan says that India will have a bat first.

Also, there might be yet another debutant for the visitors! Sai Kishore might just be handed the cap. For those who do not know about this guy, he is a left-arm spinner, tall and has been really impressive in the Tamil Nadu Premier League in recent years. Can he cope to the pressure at the grandest stage of all?

Kuldeep Yadav is in for a quick chat: He says when you don't get opportunities, you tend to look for them and this was the best opportunity for him. Adds, that there was a bit of disappointment because of the isolation of 8-9 players, but the boys showed great team spirit. He says that he always take it game by game and I am getting this opportunity so can't ask for anything more. Mentions that he worked on his basics because if you don't get things right it's because of the basics not being right, this is mainly because when you are not playing enough you miss out on things. Says that the Sri Lankan players don't bat aggressively against the spinners but play them well and rotate the strike nicely and he just looked to vary his pace as there was spin in the wicket which is his strength. In the end he says that Rahul Dravid motivated him a lot and he told him to enjoy and express yourself, don't worry about the results.

Let's now talk about Lanka! After their last win, in the ODI series is what i mean we can just sense a different type of energy. They have started to believe but how good will a series win be for them? Well, it would matter a lot. We really do not remember the last time they managed to do so and this is probably the best chance for them. Yes, it is a depleted India side but that really won't matter, a series win against any India side is huge as we all know how good the bench-strength of India is. Can they do it though? It will be the perfect birthday gift for Hasaranga.

Let's just have a look at how good are India in deciders, in T20Is. Well, let me make a lot of Indian fans happy, they have the highest win percentage in series deciders amongst all the teams. However, you would be accustomed to either one of Kohli, Rohit, Bumrah or maybe Dhawan as one of the match winners in most of those games but out of those 4, only 1 name will be playing and that is Dhawan who is the Indian skipper. It is a chance for someone else, one of the newbies to make a name for himself.

Time for the decider! A cracker of a game in the second T20I saw the Lankans level the series in the last over against an even more depleted Indian side. The Indians made abundance of changes in the last game and with Saini probably out for this game, we might just see another new face come into the squad. Have to believe, this is Lanka's best chance of winning a series after a long time especially against India. It won't be easy though as we have seen how good this India, probably, their C side is in the last game. Welcome to the coverage.
