It was a slight drizzle but it has gotten heavier and hence, the umpires tell the players to walk off. The covers come on as well. PITCH REPORT - This pitch looks very good but when you move closer, there is some moisture on the deck and the ball will grip early on. The batters can still play with freedom, but they will have to work slightly hard for the same.

Hello and a warm welcome to all! It's time for the first ODI between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Both the teams are placed 11th and 10th in the ODI Super League points table and would look to consolidate and use this series as a ladder to move up the table. Sri Lanka have been in a transitional phase and would be eager to get back to winning ways and climb up in the points table. Whereas, South Africa will be eyeing to win this series after a 1-1 drawn ODI series against Ireland. Who will come out on top? We shall find out soon, as the toss is not far away.
