That concludes the proceedings for the third T20I. Another two games to go in the series. The venue is going to remain the same in Barbados and the fourth game will be on the 30th of January at 1.30 am IST (8 pm GMT, Previous Day). Do join us in advance for the coverage. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!

Kieron Pollard, the captain of West Indies, is happy with the way Rovman Powell took his chance and vindicated his selection. Adds that they batted well against the spinners in this match, something they were unable to do in the recent past. Shares that they had a chat related to this aspect of their game. On his bowling, Pollard replies that he just used the dimensions of the ground to his advantage. Admits that his bowling attack is inexperienced and the main challenge for them will be to replicate this performance.

Moeen Ali, the skipper of England, says that they were done a little bit with Eoin Morgan not playing and three debutants in the XI, but at the same time, Moeen says that the guys played very well. Admits that West Indies were better and feels that the stand between Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell took the game away from them. Mentions that he is proud of the boys as they were there till the end. States that Tom Banton was outstanding, and this knock will help his confidence. Concludes by saying that they have confidence in their side and they knew this would be a brilliant series.

Rovman Powell is the Player of the Match! Says that he had a chat with his skipper the previous night, and he knew he was going to play. Mentions that he can strike the ball well, but he has certain issues against wrist spinners and he has been working hard on that. Says that Adil Rashid is England's best bowler, and they tried to get fewer runs off him and attack the other bowlers. Concludes by saying he got every shot out of the middle of the bat!

Presentation time...

West Indies will be extremely happy with the way they batted and posted a gigantic total on the board. It appeared to be a tough wicket for batting but the way Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran batted, they made batting look very easy. The former was in incredible form and struck a valiant ton to become only the third West Indian to do so in this format. Pooran also found his lost mojo and their partnership was the prime reason for West Indies getting such a massive total. Although they defended the target, their bowling was not up to the desired level. They kept on leaking runs but the good part was that they kept on picking wickets as well. On a surface like this, perhaps that's the only way to win as stopping the flow of runs was not easy. The combined 8 overs of Kieron Pollard and Sheldon Cottrell should be credited the most here as they kept the scoring rate under check and made sure the required rate remained alarmingly high.

Chasing a mammoth target, the intention from England was very clear. They wanted to get a rollicking start and didn't care about preserving the wickets. Tom Banton led the charge with his scintillating knock but he didn't receive enough support from the top order. Losing James Vince, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone in quick succession didn't help their cause and once Banton got out, the writing was on the wall. However, debutant Philip Salt's assault made this chase interesting and he tried his best towards the end. In hindsight, had England concentrated on preserving the wickets a little bit, this target could have been chased. Anyway, they fought hard and despite just two healthy knocks, they managed to run West Indies close.

An outstanding victory for West Indies to again take a lead in the series! It was a high-scoring entertainer with both teams shining brightly with the bat. Things appeared to get close towards the end but eventually, West Indies had got 20 runs too many on the board. Nonetheless, England fought well.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! The players are out in the middle. Jason Roy and Tom Banton will open the batting for England. Sheldon Cottrell will begin the proceedings with the ball. Here we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Moeen Ali won the toss and elected to bowl first thinking this wicket will assist his bowlers but West Indies had a different plan! England will not be satisfied with their bowling performance here. They did manage to get an early wicket, but it was only boundaries from thereon. Adil Rashid was the leader of the pack who gave away just 25 runs and grabbed a wicket in his spell. England do have firepower in their batting and they could do something special here! Let's see how they fare...

The man of the moment, Rovman Powell, is up for a quick chat. The centurion says that it's a proud moment and he has been working hard in the last 5-6 months. Tells that he just backed his ability and after he got the start, he backed himself. Feels that if they can control the first 6 overs with the ball, they will be good. He also emphasizes that they need to take their catches.

A magnificent scorecard for West Indies, they could not have asked for more here! After losing their openers cheaply, Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell were absolutely brutal in the middle, they put up 122 runs together and set the right tone for West Indies. Powell became only the third West Indian to score a century in T20Is and his ton powered his side to a big total. They have set a total of 224, which is their highest against England. The hosts have a golden opportunity here to go one up in the series. However, it will not be as easy as it sounds!

This is the West Indies team we all know! What a tremendous display of batting we have witnessed! Take a bow, Rovman Powell.  They were on the attack right from the word go and have put up a mammoth total of 224. The English bowlers had no answers to the power-hitting shown by the hosts and they face a tough challenge ahead of them. That said, the Three Lions do have an equally lethal batting line-up and can chase this down.

19.54

FOUR! Pollard has played an absolute blinder. Pace off, full and wide outside off, Pollard attacks it with all his power and blazes it through extra cover.

19.44

FOUR! Good placement! Slower one this time, short and on off, Pollard shuffles across and pulls it behind square leg for a boundary.

19.34lb

FOUR LEG BYES! Extra heat from Mills and Pollard is done for pace. Back of a length around leg at 141 kph, Pollard fails to flick but but it takes the thigh pad and races past short fine leg for a boundary.

19.21

Kieron Pollard, the skipper of West Indies, comes to the crease now.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Slower ones doing the job. England have two wickets in two balls. Full and around middle, Fabian Allen tries to heave it but gets a top edge behind the stumps. Tom Banton backtracks, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes the skier safely.

OUT! CAUGHT! That's a great running catch. Slower one, short and around off as it's angled in, Rovman Powell for once mistimes his shot and it goes aerially towards long off. Liam Livingstone sprints forward from the deep, slides and grabs the catch almost safely. End of a stupendous knock and Rovman is getting a standing ovation. Well deserved!

18.61wd

Wide! Short and way wide outside off, Powell leaves.

18.56

SIX! Feed him a full toss and sit back to enjoy the show. Around off and Powell has no qualms in sending it flying over wide long off.

18.42

HUNDRED FOR ROVMAN POWELL! Only the third West Indian to achieve this feat in T20Is after Evin Lewis and Chris Gayle. He reaches there off 51 balls and the crowd is on its feet. Full and slow, on the pads, it's nudged behind square leg for a couple of runs.

18.32

200 up for West Indies and Rovman Powell is one short of his century. Full toss and down the leg side, Powell clips it in front of square leg for a couple.

18.20

Extra pace, at 144 kph, short and on off, Powell stays back and defends it back. Two dots, nerves of the 90s?

18.10

Spears it very full and on middle at 140 kph, Powell defends it back.

17.36

SIX! That's unbelievable power! Short in length, outside off and slower in pace, Rovman Powell waits for it to arrive and then bludgeons it over long on.

17.20

Very full and on off, Powell digs it out back to the bowler.

17.14

FOUR! Streaky! George Garton deceives the batsman with a slower short ball, Powell though throws his bat at it and edges it down to third man for a boundary. They all count.

WHAT AN ATTEMPT! Akeal Hosein almost pulled off a blinder! Very full and outside off, Salt slices it towards point where Akeal Hosein jumps to pluck it with his one hand but as he lands, the ball pops out. The batters cross. A great attempt nonetheless.

Slight halt in play. Jason Holder seems to have hurt his hand in an attempt to catch the ball. The physio is out there to check on him. He seems good to go!

A good effort from Tom but we are afraid to say, that won't be enough. 96 needed off 45 balls.

TOSS - Moeen Ali is leading England in this match and has won the toss as well. ENGLAND ELECT TO FIELD!

Pitch report - Mark Butcher is near the pitch. He says the conditions are quite muggy. He adds that there is a nasty-looking black cloud hovering over. The pitch was covered and looks very dry, this looks like a Saturday pitch where England were bowled out for 103 and not like the run-fest we witnessed in the second match.

Update - The toss will take place at 1.30 am IST and the match will begin at 1.50 am IST. Stay tuned...

Adil Rashid says that it's been a great series and hopes to turn up in this match after losing one and winning one. Romario Shepherd talks about his partnership with Akeal Hosein in the last match and says that it was a good stand and Akeal kept smoking and he just tried to support him. Adds that he started as a bowling all-rounder and the coach saw his talent with the bat and he has been given more opportunities. Tells that every day they practice and help each other out in the team.

Promising signs. The covers are no longer in place and the players have resumed their warm-ups. Meanwhile, a couple of interviews coming your way...

TOSS DELAYED! In yet another update from the ground, the toss has been delayed as it rained a little while ago. It appeared to be a passing shower but the covers are in place. Let's hope we get underway sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for more updates.

There are pictures floating around on social media informing that England have included three new faces in their Playing XI. Philip Salt, George Garton and Harry Brook are all set to make their T20I debuts.

West Indies have been an unpredictable side so far in the series and by nature also. They won the first game very comfortably and put on a great fight in the second game. Akeal Hosein and Romario Shepherd went berserk in the end and almost took West Indies over the line. They put on a great show but could not come out on top. However, this sure proves that the hosts have power-hitters till the very end. West Indies do have a balanced side, but the middle order will have to step up on this occasion. Who will take the lead in this exciting series? We shall find out. Stay tuned for the toss and team news.

After a disappointing defeat in the first match, the visitors did come back and win the second game. Although they did put up a good performance, they won the game by just a solitary run. Moeen Ali was their star performer, he put up an all-round show and helped England win. Coming into this game, they will be hoping to carry their winning momentum forward and improve in all aspects of their game.

Hello and a warm welcome to the third T20I between West Indies and England. We have already witnessed some thrilling contests between these two power-packed sides and we are in for yet another mouth-watering match. The series is firmly poised at 1-1 and both teams will be eager to come out on top and take the lead from here.
