That’s it from this game then! England have levelled the series. Still three more games to go. The third one will be played on the 27th of this month. That match begins at 0130 IST (2000 GMT, previous day). Till then, goodbye and take care!

Eoin Morgan, the victorious skipper, is in for a chat. He says, he was really delighted with the way they performed with the ball initially but lost their track in the end. Mentions, there are a lot of positives to take back from this game. Adds, these wickets aren’t easy to rotate the strike but appreciates the boys for their performance with the blade today. Adds, to bowl death is the hardest in white ball cricket. Execution was not on point in the deat overs and backs his bowlers to come back stronger in the next game.

Kieron Pollard, the West Indies skipper, says they lost wickets in clusters and he credits the way they fought at the back end, Hosein and Shepherd were brilliant and they are showing they are willing to take responsibility. Adds they are working hard on their batting and they will overcome it but the biggest disappointed was their fielding. Also says that is what cost them the game, the chances they gave were costly but the game ended well and the confidence is high.

Moeen Ali wins the Man of the Match award. He says, Jason was going really well and adds that he was just fortunate in the middle. Mentions, Roy put his foot on the gas and that really helped them. Adds, they started well with the blade and Jordan made sure to end things brightly from them. Adds that, he thinks they put pressure really well in the middle overs.

Stay tuned for the presentation...

Earlier in the day, after a combined batting effort, England got to the 170-run mark. It seemed like England would win it easily but Shepherd and Hosein played a blinder in the end, Windies lost by just the one run.

The England bowling was brilliant at the start and the spinners were magical in the middle overs. When Ali and Rashid finished their spell, we thought the game was over. The pacers though took a real pounding. England was given a scare but they managed to get over the line somehow.

WHAT AN END TO THE INNINGS! That got way too close in the end. Shepherd, take a bow, what an innings. Had there been support from the others at the end, it could have been a different story. That was no the case though only Pooran and Bravo scored above 20 and the rest failed. Shepherd tried winning it by himself, alongwith Akeal Hosein. They almost pulled off a miracle but they fell short by just.

Commentary

The chase is set to begin. The England players take the field. Followed by Brandon King and Shai Hope who walk out to bat for West Indies. Reece Topley to start with the ball. Here we go...

... The Run Chase ...

Now then, the target is a stiff one. England will back themselves to defend this as they have a decent bowling attack. West Indies on the other hand, do have a strong batting line-up. The wicket is not a very bad one to bat on but the hosts will have to bat well. Stay tuned for the second essay.

The Windies will not be pleased with their effort with the ball and in the field! They were not consistent with their lines and lengths and also did completely opposite to what they did in the first game. The fielding was also not upto the mark, had they held onto all their catches, maybe England would have ended with below 150. All of the bowlers got a wicket at least but Allen and Holder were probably the pick.

It was the openers who got things going for them! However, they then lost two quick wickets but Moeen Ali and Jason Roy put on a fifty-run stand in quick time. When they were batting, 180 looked possible but both fell in quick succession. England then were pulled back and it seemed like, they would struggle to cross the 160-run mark. Jordan though played yet another decent cameo and some lusty blow from the lower-order has seen them breach the 170-run mark.

Quite a decent performance with the bat by England, surely a lot better than the last game. Not sure if they have got a score which could be enough but they certainly have a total above the average score here.

OUT! THREE REDS AND BRAVO HAS TO WALK BACK! Once again, exceptional use of technology by England. This looked close when it hit the pad. It lands around middle and off and turns in slightly. Bravo looks to flick but misses. It hits the pad and rolls on the leg side. The bowler appeals as the batters go for one. The umpire shakes his head. England though review. Replays show the on-field call has to be overturned.

Review! Eoin Morgan takes the review for lbw. The on-field decision is not out. The UltraEdge shows flat line as the ball passes the blade. The Ball Tracker shows three reds and another sensational review by England. They retain their review and the on-field umpire has to overturn his original decision.

DRINKS! England are in control of this game! They have four wickets in the bag and they have also pushed the run rate needed close to 12. More of the same is what Morgan would want from his boys. West Indies on the other hand, need someone to play a blinder on a wicket which is gripping. Do they have a hero in them?

OUT! HOPE IS WELL SHORT! That is sensational from Topley! He is on fire here. Even when England were celebrating, a player did say that was unbelivable and rightly so. Topley bowls a in dipping yorker on middle, Hope jams it out right off the middle back towards the bowler. Reece gets down and makes a half stop. It rolls behind. Hope feels they can steal a run and goes for it. Topley is back on his feet quickly, takes a few steps towards the ball, then with a dive forward flicks the ball to hit the stumps at the bowler's end. He starts celebrating. It is referred and replays show that Hope is short. Also, replays show that the ball had hit Hope first on the boot and then the bat. Nobody noticed that though.

Is that a run out? The umpire takes it upstairs. The replays roll in to confirm Shai Hope was way short of the crease.

Reece Topley on the other hand, will be delighted, what a return into the side for him. He goes full, this time gets it to shape back in from middle. King looks to drive but misses. This one hits the back pad. A huge appeal and the finger is raised. King reviews straightaway. He maybe feels it is sliding down. The impact is umpire's call and the ball is clipping the leg pole. The half centurion from the last game goes back for a duck. Early wicket for England. Just the start they would have wanted and not what West Indies would have liked.

SIX! Smack! That has been nailed! The slog sweep is out, it is nailed over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie. Roy has probably decided to step on the gas. 10 from the first three balls after the break.

10.20

Flatter and outside off, this time closer to the batter, Roy guides it to point.

10.14

FOUR! Really nicely played! Short and outside off. Good start after the break for England! Shorter and outside off, this is cut behind point for a boundary. Will this break the shackles for Roy?

DRINKS! Steady from England so far! They started off aggressively but Windies have done well to pull things back. The nature of the surface is such though it is not easy to hit right from the word go. England do have a platform and if they can get to the 155-run mark, it could be a good score. Windies on the other hand, would have been in a lot better position had they held onto their catches. They are still, one can say, slightly ahead in the game but another wicket or two will put them in great control. An interesting passage awaits.

OUT! TIMBER! Fabian Allen strikes again. He gets his second wicket of the over and England are in all sorts of trouble now. Floated, around middle, this one grips and turns away. Vince hangs back and looks to push it away but misses. He gets beaten on the outside edge and the ball goes onto clip the bail over the off stump. Vince cannot believe it. He thinks the keeper might've knocked it with his gloves. West Indies camp is excited. The umpire consults the TV umpire and the replays confirm the ball hit the bails and it was not the keeper.

Is that bowled? The umpire takes it upstairs to have a look at it.

1.10

Shorter maybe because Banton took a few steps ahead. This is pushed to mid on.

0.11

Roy and England are underway! Fuller and on middle, a little bit of movement into the batter, Roy works it towards mid on for one.

We are set for the clash. The West Indies players stride out to the middle. Followed by Jason Roy and Tom Banton who walk out to open for England. Before the action begins both the teams take the knee to show their support for the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. Sheldon Cottrell to steam in with the new ball.

PITCH REPORT - Mark Butcher says this wicket looks a little bit of the old Barbados wicket. Adds it has got sheen on it and seems like it would skid through and the England batters should prefer this one than the last wicket. Ends by saying there should be runs on this wicket.

Eoin Morgan, the England skipper, is in for a chat. He says they will try to adapt to conditions better and negate things which they failed to in the first game. Adds that Liam Livingstone is still unavailable.

Kieron Pollard, the West Indies skipper, is in for a chat. He says he is hoping for the same start as the last game but they are playing on a new pitch and they are not sure what it will do and hence, they will have an idea of it. Informs they are playing the same team, they have done and are rearing to go again. Mentions consistency is what they are for and that is what will be key.

England (Playing XI) - Jason Roy, Tom Banton, James Vince, Moeen Ali, Eoin Morgan (C), Sam Billings (WK), Chris Jordan, Liam Dawson, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood, Reece Topley (In for Tymal Mills).

West Indies (Unchanged playing XI) - Shai Hope (WK), Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran, Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard (C), Jason Holder, Fabian Allen, Romario Shepherd, Odean Smith, Akeal Hosein, Sheldon Cottrell.

TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of West Indies. They have opted to BOWL first.

After an upset in the T20I World Cup, the home side really turned a corner and caught the visitors off-guard in their first encounter of the series. Their bowlers were on song and Jason Holder did not shy back, he returned with a four-wicket haul. It was King who took his side over the line with a composed knock along with Pooran. The hosts would hope to extend their winning run and continue the good work. Stay tuned for toss and further updates.

England were in all sorts of trouble after being asked to bat first. The conditions took them by surprise and were teetering at 29/5. It was a late effort by Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid which made sure to take the score above 100. England were listless across all departments. They surely need to pull their socks up. Can England execute their plans better in this game and level the series?

Hello and a warm welcome to the second T20I between West Indies and England. Well, this series has started off on a really good note for the hosts. They have taken a 1-nil lead and would hope to continue their good work. England, on the flip side, were no where near their potential. They really need to get accustomed to the away conditions before it gets too late. We are surely in for yet another treat.
