Commentary
Afghanistan were poor with the ball. The spinners got enough purchase but were not consistent enough to build some pressure. Afghanistan got tired as the game progressed, Bangladesh were in no mood to milk them for runs while Afghanistan couldn't help themselves but to keep the spirit up and keep bowling. A massive task awaits for them. Afghanistan need 662 runs to win. Feels like a lot will happen in the next couple of hours.
The declaration has finally come. So, Bangladesh have declared with a massive lead of 661 runs. A tough task awaits for Afghanistan who have been chasing this game right from the start. Even the cracks have started to open up which doesn't help the visitors as it will get difficult to bat on. Bangladesh have been outstanding with the bat. Shanto was the hero for them with back-to-back centuries. Mominul Haque then got to his century while the skipper got his fifty. Najmul Hossain Shanto though played a big part in this massive lead. Commentary
Afghanistan kept on losing wickets right from the start. They failed to stick a promising stand. Nasir Jamal and Afsar Zazai batted well in the middle but not for long. Credit to the home team. They started with the seamers and once bot the spinners came in, it was light work for them. So, Bangladesh lead by 236 runs. They will look to bat till the end of the session and take full control of this game. Stay tuned.
That was quick from Bangladesh and they are right on top of this game. They are not enforcing the follow-on. Afghanistan have not even batted two full sessions and have to do it all over again against the Bangladeshi bowlers who are spot on. Consistency is key for the Bangladesh bowlers who are bowling in good areas and are getting their rewards.

Another session which belongs to the hosts! Afghanistan are still around 40 runs away from avoiding the follow-on and they just have the two wickets in hand. The session started off nicely for them, Nasir Jamal and Afsar Zazai scored freely but once that partnership was broken, wickets yet again fell quickly. Karim Janat is the only recognized batter left and Afghanistan will hope, he along with the tail can avoid the follow-on. Commentary
The Afghanistan bowlers were excellent this morning. All their bowlers had a poor day on Day 1 but they have come back strongly and snatched the momentum. Now it is onto their batters. They'll have to play well. The new ball is not going to be easy to face, can they overcome that challenge? We will find out.
The hosts however, will be disappointed with their effort this morning. They would have been eyeing over 400 with two set batters in but wickets fell heaps. That has been the case for them, just the two partnerships, one between Shanto and Joy and the other between Rahim and Mehidy has got them here. The rest did not contribute a lot. They though will still feel, they have a good score on the board.
That is a top effort this morning from Afghanistan and they have roared back into the game. They got the remaining five wickets in no time and have bundled Bangladesh out for below 400. Saying that, Bangladesh still have a really good score on a wicket which has started to play tricks.

Commentary

Litton Das says he is happy with the way players performed. Adds it was hot and was not easy to play but credit to Shanto, Joy and other batters to bat so long. Reckons they have good quality bowlers and they are happy with the performance.
Najmul Hossain Shanto is the Player of the Match. He says he is happy with the win. Shares it was a good opportunity for the batters to play on this wicket. Tells as a player they need to perform in every format and he hopes to continue his form.
Hashmatullah Shahidi says he is feeling good after getting hit on the helmet. Adds the game didn't go their way right from the start but there were some positives to take from this game. Shares they have to play a lot more Test matches and that will help them improve.

Credit to way the home team played. They are making it their fortress. Consistency was a big difference between the two teams. Afghanistan could have made amends but gave too many freebies while Bangladesh stuck to their plans throughout. Right from their seamers to their spinners, all made a massive contributions. Despite missing Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh have shown how versatile they are but not Afghanistan who have along way to go in this format.
Afghanistan in reply were in tatters right from the start. No one scored more than 40 and that tells you the story. Bangladesh then scored runs to add in their lead in a quick way. They scored more than 100 in one session but Litton Das refused to end the clash quickly as he wanted few of his batters to enjoy the wicket. Najmul Hossain Shanto with twin centuries, Mominul Haque got one to his name while Das scored a fifty. Afghanistan needed more than 600 to win. Already a massive challenge for them and they succumbed under the pressure.
Zahir Khan couldn't play anymore and that means Bangladesh finally have their victory and they win by a margin of 546 runs. A one-sided affair in this one-off test. Bangladesh with a comfortable win and they continue to dominate at home. Afghanistan won the toss but since then nothing had gone their way. Bangladesh batted and batted in the first innings. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a brilliant century. Joy helped with a fifty as well and contributions from Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan gave Bangladesh a massive first innings score.
Zahir Khan has not recovered from the injury suffered and won't be able to participate any more with the bat. As it stands, Zahir Khan is retired out.

Afghanistan were poor with the ball. The spinners got enough purchase but were not consistent enough to build some pressure. Afghanistan got tired as the game progressed, Bangladesh were in no mood to milk them for runs while Afghanistan couldn't help themselves but to keep the spirit up and keep bowling. A massive task awaits for them. Afghanistan need 662 runs to win. Feels like a lot will happen in the next couple of hours.
The declaration has finally come. So, Bangladesh have declared with a massive lead of 661 runs. A tough task awaits for Afghanistan who have been chasing this game right from the start. Bangladesh have not yet declared. Not sure why as they certainly have enough runs on the board. Najmul Hossain Shanto got to yet another century, two in a row from him while build a handy partnership with Zakir Hasan and Haque. Afghanistan were just as sloppy as they were in the first innings. The spinners got more purchase this time as they was turn and many balls stayed low but they lacked consistency. They failed to build pressure and now are well behind in this game. Well, Bangladesh have enough runs but they would love more runs for sure. Only time will tell when the chase will begin. Stay tuned.

Bangladesh are in a very comfortable position as they now lead by 367 runs. Looks more than enough with the quality bowls they have. Bangladesh started Day 3 with the bat, having 5 wickets in hand but Afghanistan bowled well, Nijat Masood in particular as he took the remaining wickets quickly. However, their batters didn't replicate the same effort as they were put under pressure right from the start by the Bangladeshi seamers. Afghanistan kept on losing wickets and not a single batter scored more than 40.

Commentary
Afghanistan kept on losing wickets right from the start. They failed to stick a promising stand. Nasir Jamal and Afsar Zazai batted well in the middle but not for long. Credit to the home team. They started with the seamers and once bot the spinners came in, it was light work for them. So, Bangladesh lead by 236 runs. They will look to bat till the end of the session and take full control of this game. Stay tuned.
That was quick from Bangladesh and they are right on top of this game. They are not enforcing the follow-on. Afghanistan have not even batted two full sessions and have to do it all over again against the Bangladeshi bowlers who are spot on. Consistency is key for the Bangladesh bowlers who are bowling in good areas and are getting their rewards.

Another session which belongs to the hosts! Afghanistan are still around 40 runs away from avoiding the follow-on and they just have the two wickets in hand. The session started off nicely for them, Nasir Jamal and Afsar Zazai scored freely but once that partnership was broken, wickets yet again fell quickly. Karim Janat is the only recognized batter left and Afghanistan will hope, he along with the tail can avoid the follow-on. Bangladesh on the other hand, would like to take the remaining two wickets quickly. An interesting session awaits.

Commentary
The Afghanistan bowlers were excellent this morning. All their bowlers had a poor day on Day 1 but they have come back strongly and snatched the momentum. Now it is onto their batters. They'll have to play well. The new ball is not going to be easy to face, can they overcome that challenge? We will find out.
The hosts however, will be disappointed with their effort this morning. They would have been eyeing over 400 with two set batters in but wickets fell heaps. That has been the case for them, just the two partnerships, one between Shanto and Joy and the other between Rahim and Mehidy has got them here. The rest did not contribute a lot. They though will still feel, they have a good score on the board.
That is a top effort this morning from Afghanistan and they have roared back into the game. They got the remaining five wickets in no time and have bundled Bangladesh out for below 400. Saying that, Bangladesh still have a really good score on a wicket which has started to play tricks.

Afghanistan were not at their best with the ball, except for the last session, they were all over the place and bowled far too many boundary balls. An excellent day for Bangladesh and they are well and truly ahead in this game! Afghanistan did manage to fight back in the final session but this partnership between Mehidy Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim has yet again turned the tide towards the hosts. They lost a wicket early but then Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mahmudul Hasan Joy batted brilliantly. They added over 200 and laid the platform for a huge score. The did lose a few wickets in the final session but Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan have got things back on track. Bangladesh will hope the two can continue and take them to a big score.

What a start for Bangladesh! They have scored more than 100 with ease in the first session. Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. It was a good decision and they got the reward very early on but didn't sustain with the ball for long enough. They were sloppy afterward. Too many no balls, too many freebies and runs were easy to come by for the Bangladeshi batters. Najmul Hossain Shanto was the aggressor while Joy knocked it around from the other end. However, both dispatched the bad deliveries away with ease. If it continues this way, Afghanistan will be pushed on the back foot. Credit to way the home team played. They are making it their fortress. Consistency was a big difference between the two teams. Afghanistan could have made amends but gave too many freebies while Bangladesh stuck to their plans throughout. Right from their seamers to their spinners, all made a massive contributions. Despite missing Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh have shown how versatile they are but not Afghanistan who have along way to go in this format.
Afghanistan in reply were in tatters right from the start. No one scored more than 40 and that tells you the story. Bangladesh then scored runs to add in their lead in a quick way. They scored more than 100 in one session but Litton Das refused to end the clash quickly as he wanted few of his batters to enjoy the wicket. Najmul Hossain Shanto with twin centuries, Mominul Haque got one to his name while Das scored a fifty. Afghanistan needed more than 600 to win. Already a massive challenge for them and they succumbed under the pressure.
Zahir Khan couldn't play anymore and that means Bangladesh finally have their victory and they win by a margin of 546 runs. A one-sided affair in this one-off test. Bangladesh with a comfortable win and they continue to dominate at home. Afghanistan won the toss but since then nothing had gone their way. Bangladesh batted and batted in the first innings. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a brilliant century. Joy helped with a fifty as well and contributions from Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan gave Bangladesh a massive first innings score.
