 Himanshu Sharma, a leg-spin bowler hailing from Sikar in Haryana, began his cricketing journey within his hometown. However, recognizing the need for a more serious pursuit of the sport, he made the pivotal decision to relocate to Jaipur. It was in 2017 that Himanshu embarked on his cricketing journey, without having played a single game of competitive cricket until his debut in the Indian T20 League.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru scouting team took notice of Himanshu's talent through their innovative Hinterland Scouting system, just a year before the 2023 Indian T20 League auction. Impressed by his potential, Himanshu was invited for trials by the Bengaluru franchise.
