Tony de Zorzi is down in serious pain. It looks like he has pulled up with a hamstring issue in his right leg. Oh, no, no, no! Tony de Zorzi seems to be in agonizing pain as he turns for the second run and barely manages to complete it. Full and around off, Corbin Bosch drives it towards deep cover and picks up a couple of runs but it seems like de Zorzi has done his hamstring and this could be a huge blow to the Proteas and another twist in the tale here.

Brilliant running yet again! Goes full and straight and nearly gets the yorker perfect, Breetzke manages to dig it out between deep square leg and deep mid-wicket and also picks up a couple of runs.

Length ball around off, Tony de Zorzi stays leg side of the ball and lofts it down to wide long off for a single.

A bit slower and straighter, back of a length, Breetzke covers the line and punches it back past the bowler for a single.

Short of a good length on the pads, tucked away off the hips and down to deep backward square leg for a couple of runs.

SIX! Tony de Zorzi ends the over in style and maybe Kuldeep Yadav got a bit greedy on that final delivery. This is tossed up on middle and leg, right in the slot, de Zorzi gets under it and slog sweeps it handsomely in front of mid-wicket for a biggie. 48 needed now off 42 balls.

Slightly short on middle and leg, Breetzke stays low to pull but mistimes it in front of mid-wicket for one and instantly lets out a frustrated 'NO.'

We are going to have a ball change. The South African pair do not look particularly pleased, but Rod Tucker is convinced that the ball is wet enough to warrant a replacement. The replacement has been picked and we are all good to go.

OUT! CAUGHT! A big catch under pressure from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kuldeep Yadav gets rid of the dangerman. Kuldeep Yadav tosses the ball up, full and on off, it is the googly. Dewald Brevis gets low and looks to hit a no-look six over deep mid-wicket. Ends up skying it a mile up and wide of long on. Jaiswal circles under it and manages to gobble it up with both hands. Brevis departs after a fiery knock of 54 from 34 balls and South Africa are 4 down for 289.

SIX! In the air, it seemed to be mistimed but it's gone all the way and Dewald Brevis brings up his MAIDEN ODI FIFTY. Flighted ball around off, Brevis goes for the big heave down the ground but slices it away over long off for a six.

Tossed up, full on off and middle, Breetzke drives it firmly past the bowler and down to long on for a single.

Powerplay 3! 77 needed off 60 balls but India will now will be allowed one extra fielder outside the inner ring for the remaining overs.

Nails the yorker, around the off pole, Brevis is a bit late to get his bat down but manages to keep it out. Just the over South Africa were in search of. 16 runs off it. The required run rate drops below 8 now with the Proteas requiring 77 runs off 60 balls.

Wide! Called wide but Rana is not happy with the call. Full and tailing down leg, Brevis misses out on the tickle. There was a noise, but the Ball Tracking shows that the ball missed everything. 16 runs off the over with a ball to go.

SIX! Two in two, but this is even bigger from Brevis. A bit too predictable from Rana. On a shortish length outside off, it is the off-cutter. Dewald stays on the back foot and pummels it way over deep mid-wicket for half a dozen more.

SIX! All the way! Rana sticks to the slower short ball ploy, over off. Dewald Brevis waits on it and nails the pull over deep square leg for a six.

Back to bowling it into the surface and slower too, on off. Breetzke drags it away to long on for one more.

Hurls in a yorker, on off, Brevis digs it out beside the strip on the off side and takes a quick single.

This time, Krishna spots Breetzke backing away and he follows him with an off-cutter, on a good length. Matthew tries to adjust but is cut in half as the ball comes back in. The ball brushes his back pad and rolls behind towards the keeper.

FOUR! Smart batting! Krishna bowls it full and straight at the stumps at 140.3 kph, Matthew Breetzke times his move to perfection so that Prasidh cannot adjust. He backs away and clubs it over cover for a boundary. 15 runs off the over already.

NO BALL! Oh, that went all wrong for Krishna. Prasidh goes searching for the yorker but the ball seems to have slipped out of his hand. It is above the hips and Dewald Brevis is taken aback. Another hold-up in the play. It seems like there's a lot of grass under Harshit Rana's shoes and Tilak Varma is out with a cleaning tool. Given the amount of dew, the last thing you want as a fast bowler is to slip while bowling. All's good and we are good to continue again.

Rolls his fingers over the ball again, but this is fuller, outside off, Dewald looks to force it through the off side but mistimes the shot to extra cover.

Rana continues to bang it in but does not offer any pace at all, over middle. Brevis ducks under it. Called second bouncer of the over.

Another slight halt in play. This time, for a mandatory concussion check, as Dewald Brevis is struck on the helmet. He does seem fine and the physio asks him a couple of questions before giving him the clearance. Also, one of the two balls is changed but it is the ball that is being used from the other end, not the end from where Harshit Rana is currently bowling.

Nicely bowled! At 113.6 kph, into the surface, over middle. Dewald Brevis is deceived by the slowness of the delivery and swings early for the pull. The ball goes over his blade and catches him on the grill of the helmet. Harshit is quick to check on the batter.

Just in! Googly from Kuldeep, full and spinning away from the right-hander. Matthew Breetzke lunges for the block but the ball drops on him to go past the outside edge. KL Rahul is quick to whip the bails off and is pretty convinced. The third umpire is called into action. The replays show that Breetzke's back leg did get dragged outside the crease but he managed to slide it back in before the stumps were broken.

Is that out? There is a big appeal for stumping and India feel they have their man. The third umpire is called in to have a look. Matthew Breetzke is the batter in question and after a couple of replays, the third umpire confirms that Breetzke just had his back leg inside the crease when the bails came off. NOT OUT!

DRINKS BREAK! With the dismissal of Aiden Markram, the umpires have called for drinks. KL Rahul is seen having a word with the officials about the condition of the ball. India will be relieved to see the back of Markram, as South Africa had done a fine job keeping the required run rate in check and preventing the Indian bowlers from taking control. The game is nicely poised, and the next phase will be crucial for both teams. The hosts will want to bowl as much as possible to the new batter and try to push the required rate up. With Markram’s departure, the responsibility now falls on Matthew Breetzke to maintain the momentum until the incoming batter finds his rhythm. Dewald Brevis joins Breetzke out in the middle.

OUT! CAUGHT! Harshit Rana stays persistent with the slower ball and does get the big wicket of Aiden Markram. Rana bangs this one in halfway down the pitch and bowls it outside off. Markram has to fetch it, not only from outside off but from well above his head and he hits it like a forehand smash. The ball goes flat and down towards long on, where Ruturaj Gaikwad goes low to his right and hangs on with both hands. Markram departs for a fine knock of 110 (98) and Rana is absolutely elated.

Wide! Another slower one, seemed to be the leg cutter but this is bowled well outside off. Left alone for a wide.

Rohit Sharma takes the ball over to umpire Rohan Pandit as he feels it has become too wet. Pandit then consults his colleague at the other end, Rod Tucker, and after a brief discussion, the umpires decide that the ball need not be changed.

Slower again, a bit full and outside off, Breetzke waits and drives it wide of covers for a single.

Nicely bowled! Sees the batter charging at him and Rana bowls it slower into the pitch. Breetzke ends up backing out of the shot.

FOUR! Down the wrong line and Breetzke puts it away. A length ball angling down the leg side, Breetzke picks it up and flicks it to the left of short fine leg where Arshdeep Singh has no chance of getting to it and he doesn't even make an attempt. However, Harshit Rana feels Arshdeep could have reached it and probably at least some sort of an effort should have been made.

Takes pace off and bowls it full on the stumps, Breetzke stays leg side of the ball and plays it to mid off.

Back of a length and outside off, Markram stands tall, looks to take the ball early and ends up slashing it uppishly through cover-point for a single.

FOUR! Oh, a rare blip in the field from Ravindra Jadeja. Dragged down over middle and leg, Aiden Markram rocks back to pull but it is a bit of a tired shot, lofting it towards cow corner. The ball lands and then plugs as Jadeja overruns the ball coming in from deep mid-wicket. Jadeja tries to make amends but his hand is in contact with the ropes when he drags the ball back in.

Throws this one up full and well wide of the off stump, Aiden Markram looks to go over covers but fails to reach the ball.

Wide! The change-up from KD, seam-up, fired in full and just down the leg side for a wide. The replays show it was a stumping chance as well but KL Rahul didn't collect the ball cleanly.

Flattens it up and gets the ball to turn back into the middle stump, Breetzke stays back and plays it late through mid off for one more.

Is that a six? The substitute fielder Tilak Varma might have just pulled off an unreal save but the third umpire is having a look at it. Fails to cling on as the ball deflects off the fingertips and goes over the fence.

DRINKS! A steady start to the run chase and the game seems to be nicely poised but India seem to have just a bit of an edge right now. The ball swung under the lights and both Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana created a few difficulties for the openers. South Africa will be happy to be just one down and would hope that Aiden Markram can now convert this half-century into a big score. They have a lot of hitting to come but Markram and Temba Bavuma need to up the ante and lay down a platform for the others. Should be an interesting middle phase, so let's get right to it.

Washington Sundar keeps his eyes fixed on the ball and takes a good catch. De Kock departs for 8 (11) and South Africa are 26/1.

Coming to the delivery, Arshdeep Singh pitches the ball a bit further up on off stump and gets it to swing back in sharply. Aiden Markram hangs back to defend but is cut in half, and the ball just clips the flap of the back pad and goes through to the keeper. South Africa have bowled well in patches but even then, they haven't quite stemmed the flow of boundaries and will feel that wickets are the way to go forward. They need to break this stand at the earliest or else they could be staring down a total of around 400.

That is very unlike South Africa and they have made a comedy of errors here. This is bowled flatter on leg stump, Kohli dabs it across to square leg for a quick single but the throw at the keeper's end from Tony de Zorzi is a very wide one. There's no one quite backing up and the batters push for two. This time, there's another wide throw, but at the bowler's end and eventually, the batters pick up three runs. Sloppy fielding.

The keeper, Quinton de Kock went up in an appeal straight away and there was a noise. Not given by the umpire. Temba Bavuma has a word with the keeper and takes the review. India's captain, KL Rahul says the most pressure he feels is during the toss, and it has been a long time since they have won one. He jokes that he has been practising for it, but it clearly has not been working. Reflecting on the last game, he feels the team did really well and there were a lot of positives to take forward. He adds that it is about coming out and playing hard cricket. Mentions that South Africa pushed them in the previous match, so they know exactly what to expect. Shares that this is the time of the year when dew is almost guaranteed, and they have spoken about it in team meetings. Further says that picking up early wickets becomes even more important in such conditions. Looking at the surface, he feels the wicket looks good. Tells that the only reason teams prefer chasing here is mostly because of the impact of dew later in the evening. Informs that they are unchanged for this game.

The captain of South Africa, Temba Bavuma, says that they will bowl first. Adds that the surface looks a bit on the drier side and they are hoping that the dew settles in during the chase and batting becomes a bit easier. Reckons that the belief is still there and they would like to start well with the bat. Informs that there are three changes with Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi and himself coming in, but there's no change in the combination.

TOSS - Temba Bavuma is back for the Proteas. He calls it correctly, and South Africa have elected to BOWL first.

PITCH REPORT - Deep Dasgupta and Shaun Pollock are pitchside. Deep says that the boundaries are 67 meters on either side and 74 meters in front. Adds that the surface looks good on the side that he's standing on, but Shaun Pollock at the other end says that on his side, the surface looks patchy and there will be uneven bounce as well. Reckons that the match won't be as high-scoring as the first ODI and there might be some reverse swing on offer late in the innings. Deep ends by saying that there will be dew and affirms that the toss will be crucial.

South Africa, meanwhile, find themselves with something to prove. Their top order faltered under pressure in the previous match, but the fight shown by the middle order was a major positive. Matthew Breetzke, Marco Jansen and Corbin Bosch stepped up and nearly dragged the Proteas to an unlikely win. Temba Bavuma and Keshav Maharaj were rested for the first ODI, but both are expected to return in Raipur, which will come as a much-needed boost for the visitors.
