OUT! CAUGHT! A stunning grab by Heinrich Klaasen. Nitish Kumar Reddy lets out a big roar. This is on a length, outside off. Mhatre stays rooted to the crease and swings at it. Carves it off the outer half towards wide mid off, where Klaasen moves swiftly to his left and leaps before stretching both hands in that direction to cling onto the catch. The ball stays in his grasp even as his elbow hits the turf, and he does well to roll over and soften the landing.

It seems Ayush Mhatre will have to go off the field. He really hobbled his way to the other end on the last single, but Mhatre's sent the physio back and wants to continue. Very interesting call and we might see a few big swings from him now.

Oh, dear! Ayush Mhatre is really struggling. Full and on middle. Gaikwad brings his bat out in front and knocks it to the right of mid on. Mhatre hobbles to the other end and the mid on fielder spots that to fire in a throw at Ayush's end. He does not hit. The keeper, Salil Arora collects the throw before releasing an underarm throw at the batting end but Mhatre is in by then.

Uh, oh! This doesn't look good. Ayush Mhatre is seen holding his left hamstring and the pain seems to be growing by the second. Mhatre seems to be in some agony and the physio rushed out to check on him. Sometimes, when you come in as an Impact Sub, having not been in the field, the muscles can be a bit tight and pull-up. The physio is still tending to Mhatre and SRH won't mind this extended break, as it takes momentum off CSK's hands. Thankfully, Ayush is finally back on his feet and seems good to go. Let's get back to the action.

The 50-run stand comes up between this pair. Reddy spots Gaikwad backing away and he follows him with a good-length delivery. Ruturaj nudges it in front of deep square leg and Mhatre charges back to the bowling end before the throw comes in. He pulls up just after getting home and is clutching his left hamstring.

Oh, any other day that would have crashed into the stumps. Reddy bowls it on a back of a length, on off. Gaikwad pushes at it off the back foot. DROPPED! Heinrich Klaasen covered a lot of ground, but the ball kept going away from him. It could have been two in the over for Reddy. Angled in, on a good length, on middle. Mhatre is nowhere near the pitch of the ball but he still swings through the line. It is skied over mid on, where Klaasen runs over his left shoulder but the ball keeps drifting away from him. He flings himself but the ball clips his fingertips and dribbles towards the ropes. Heinrich does well to get back up on his feet and he flicks the ball away from the fence, saving a run for his side.

FOUR! Smarly done by Shivang! Kamboj goes for the yorker on the leg stump, but Shivang shuffles across off, gets low and uses the angle and pace to lap-sweep it to the right of short fine leg for a boundary.

Anshul continues from around-the-wicket angle and fires another perfect wide yorker, outside off. Heinrich Klaasen throws his bat at it with minimal foot movement, trying to crash through the cover region, but ends up inside edging it and the ball makes an absolute mess of the middle pole. A fine knock from Klaasen comes to an end, though he will be disappointed to not bat till the end. The Sunrisers are 177/6.

From around the stump, Anshul spears a wide yorker, outside off. Heinrich Klaasen swings hard, but fails to get the bat under it. The ball dips below the blade and beats the inside edge.

Anshul Kamboj is back on to bowl at the death. Just one over for 15 so far for him.

Easily the most consistent batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season.

Excellent review! Angles across the batter, on the off side, full in length. It does not look to have breached the tramline but the umpire signals for a wide as Arora lets it pass. Gurjapneet Singh convinces Gaikwad to take the review and challenge the on-field decision of wide given. The replay comes up with a revised guideline and shows that there is some portion of the ball within that strip. So, it is deemed a fair delivery, forcing the umpire to overturn the decision. A very good over from Singh, as just 6 runs come off it.

STRATEGIC BREAK! It just keeps getting better and better for Jamie Overton this season. Another three-wicket haul and counting for the tall Englishman. Runs have constantly flown over 10s per over, but CSK have managed to pick wickets at regular intervals, managing to shrink the batting options for SRH. But with Klaasen still out in the middle, 200-plus seems at an arm's distance. The Super Kings would aim to get Klaasen's wicket as quickly as possible as that would potentially minus a few runs off the total. But with the kind of form he is in, can they? Overton to complete his over, and Salil Arora walks in at number 7.

OUT! CAUGHT! Overton's done it again! Jamie takes pace off and digs it in a bit short over off stump. Nitish Kumar Reddy hangs back and goes after it, trying to pull but loses his shape and ends up getting a top edge that flies down to long on. Matthew Short in the deep, leaps up a bit and pouches it smartly over his head. A third wicket for Overton now and he breaks another brewing stand.

SIX! For a second, it looked like Reddy mistimed it, but the ball clears the fence with ease. Pace off delivery, back of a length and around off, Nitish Kumar Reddy looks to whack it across the line but checks his shot and ends up hitting it over long on for a six.

Jamie hits the hard length with searing pace, and gets the ball to kick up a bit, around the off pole. Abhishek Sharma does not move at all and tries to run it behind by using the pace of the ball, but seems to have nicked it behind as Samson gathers it safely. Samson appeals for caught behind, but the umpire denies. He is the only one who looked interested and CSK have gone upstairs for a review. And whoa! UltraEdge does show a clear spike when the ball is next to the bat. Abhishek Sharma looked dangerous until he was there. But has to walk back. Sunrisers Hyderabad are 93/3, with their top three in the dugout now.

STRATEGIC BREAK! Wow, what an end to the Powerplay. Sunrisers Hyderabad have notched up 75 runs but those two back-to-back wickets will certainly give CSK the momentum heading into the next phase of the innings. Abhishek Sharma has been striking the ball flawlessly but with Travis Head and Ishan Kishan both back in the hut, he might have to be a bit cautious. Chennai will look to bring on someone like Noor Ahmad and continue to search for further wickets. Noor does come into the attack straightaway, whereas Heinrich Klaasen is the new batter in for SRH.

Too full for Ishan Kishan to get under it, but still, he tries to pump it over mid off to clear the fence, but ends up slicing it off the toe end and loses his shape while axing it. It spoons in the air and goes only as far as mid off where Ruturaj Gaikwad takes a few steps back and takes it down the throat. Mukesh will be on a Hat Trick at the start of his next over. OUT! CAUGHT! The skipper of CSK takes a stunning catch to send Travis back in the dugout. Mukesh continues to bowl around the stumps and bowls a full toss wide of off. Travis Head looks to go big and swings at it. Miscues it off the cue end and ends up hitting this to the left of Ruturaj Gaikwad at mid off. RG glides to his left before diving and gathering this inches over the ground. Head has to walk back.

However, both those victories came at home. CSK have lost both their away games so far, and even in the 2025 season, they struggled on the road, managing just 3 wins in 8 matches away from home. Moreover, Hyderabad has not been a happy hunting ground for CSK. They have managed just 1 win in their last 5 IPL games at this venue and have lost on their last 3 visits. Mhatre the bright spot - While skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad continues to search for runs, his opening partner Sanju Samson has found form in the last couple of matches, which has coincided with their two wins. One of the standout performers with the bat has been Ayush Mhatre, who has thrived in the No. 3 role with 3 impactful knocks in his last 4 innings. Another blow for CSK - Their tryst with injuries has continued, particularly in the pace department.
