Mohammad Nabi wins the Player of the Match. He says it was a tough score to chase on this ground. Adds his aim was to bat till the end. Reckons sometimes have to play this kind of knocks to win the match.

...Presentation time...

Earlier, Pakistan opted to bat first but it turned out to be a horrible decision as they were rattled under 100. Afghanistan were pin-point with their bowling and regular wickets helped them to keep Pakistan under such a score.

Pakistan would have made a match out of it if they had more runs on the board. The Pakistani bowlers tried their best with the new ball, striking thrice and putting Afghanistan under pressure but not for long as Afghanistan chased down with ease. 15-20 more runs could have made things hard for Afghanistan.

History has been made! For the first time ever, Afghanistan have beaten Pakistan in international cricket. What a moment for them! They just needed a calm mind and a stand to win this game. After losing their way in the start, both Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran brought in calmness and let the pressure go to chase this score down pretty easily.

We are back. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran to open for Afghanistan.

...THE CHASE...

Just fantastic from Afghanistan! They couldn't have asked for a better performance with the ball. Right from the word go, they were on top of Pakistan. First, the seamers swung the ball both ways to make an impact and then later, the three spinners kept on the good work to keep taking regular wickets. Every bowler ended with a wicket at least. Right them! This should be an easy chase. The pitch is helping the bowlers but Afghanistan should chase this down without much trouble. Can they? will find out after the break.

A batting line-up with too much inexperience and it was seen clearly. There were quite a few soft dismissals. The debutants felt the pressure while the experience of Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan failed to make an impact. Not what Shadab Khan would have thought when he chose to bat first but still they have something to fight with.

Hello and welcome everyone to the first match between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In the year where ODI has a lot to say, a quick series happens between two Asian sides. Pakistan have rested some key players like Azam and Rizwan but still are favourites to win. Can Afghanistan put on a show and upset their neighbors? Toss and team news coming up.

...Match Day...

The first-ever T20 international series between the two Asian sides Afghanistan and Pakistan promises a lot for the spectators. The first T20 will be hosted by Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Shadab Khan will be leading Pakistan in this series with several marquee figures like Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf being rested. The inclusion of young pacer Ihsanullah and opener Saim Ayub who were impressive in the recently concluded PSL 2023 is something to keep a keen eye on. Pakistan will be a different-looking team in this series but they lack nothing as everybody has had enough domestic exposure and would be ready to impose themselves on their neighbours. Rashid Khan will be leading Afghanistan in this series. The team looks well balanced and is perfectly suited for the shorter version as the players do play a lot of franchise cricket all across the globe. Rashid Khan is the key figure for them and the Afghan unit has a perfect blend of other players with different flairs to their game as well. A lot would depend on their ace opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz to give them a solid start right at the front. The series promises to be a cracker as both teams are well-balanced and are constantly improving in this format. Expect a tight game.
