...Presentation time...

The bowling this season has not helped Delhi. Not in this match as well, as they finish their campaign on the wrong side. A lot to improve and Delhi will hope to come back stronger next season.

It was clearly a hard pitch to bat on but Delhi missed out, their bowlers mainly who were not up to the target, too inconsistent and ended up giving too many runs. Chennai though were just superb with the ball. They took three wickets inside 5 overs and that just pushed Delhi on the back foot. David Warner though was the lone warrior, despite wickets falling on one side, he kept on hitting boundaries but it was just a big of task for him to chase this down.

Chennai have qualified for the playoffs. Top two is very certain for Chennai now after winning by a huge margin here. The win was set up by the batters though. The likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway scored brilliant fifties and to wrap it up, there were cameos from Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja as Chennai posted a big total of more than 220..

Back for the chase! Prithvi Shaw comes in as the Impact Player in place of Khaleel Ahmed and will open with David Warner. Deepak Chahar to bowl first. Matheesha Pathirana comes in for Shivam Dube for Chennai as well.

...THE CHASE...

David Warner has often talked about inconsistency in their home conditions. It was another day for him where his statement stays true. Their bowlers struggled very badly. More than good batting it was some sloppy bowling that has cost them so many runs. The pitch was meant to assist the spinners but the Delhi bowlers went for runs. David Warner without a doubt will be absolutely fuming! Now then, this will take some chasing. Batting is Delhi's strength, can they chase this mammoth total? We will find out soon.

This was supposed to be a hard pitch to bat on. Not for Chennai though. What a score for them! A massive total for them on a slow pitch! A good toss to win for Chennai! They opted to bat first and Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway were up for the task. The openers laid a wonderful stand of more than 140. Ruturaj Gaikwad was playing the second fiddle before he took over his partner and scored boundaries for fun. Both the openers fell but then Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja gave the perfect finish to get the total over 220.

Commentary

Chennai are coming against Delhi who showed that without pressure they can play fearless cricket. They hampered Punjab’s hope last time around and would love to repeat against Chennai. Delhi will also look to end their campaign with a win. Stay tuned for toss and other updates.

Hello and welcome to the first game of the weekend, match number 67 where we see Delhi taking on Chennai. The entertainment is so high-octane that in a blink of an eye the group stages are coming to an end but we still have three berths to fill for the playoffs. You will feel Chennai have locked their place but not yet. They have to win this game. Just a win is what needed for Chennai to book their place.

...Match Day...

It is now time for match number 67 in the India T20 League. In this match, Delhi will be going up against Chennai. This is the final encounter for both these sides in the group stage fixtures. Chennai would've been able to seal the second spot in the points table and head into Qualifiers 1, although they could not get over the line against Kolkata, and need to win this game if they are to remain in contention for a top-two finish. Chennai have a lot riding on this match, while Delhi would be aiming to end their campaign on a positive note after a forgettable season. They will surely come out all guns blazing and try to put on one of their best performances of the season before heading out. Chennai have been a solid outfit throughout the season, and have hardly tweaked their side, which is a sign of a champion side. MS Dhoni and his men would be hoping to get back to winning ways and get the momentum back on their side before they head towards the playoffs. Rilee Rossouw though could be a game-changer for Delhi. He has found his mojo a bit belatedly in this tournament and would be hoping to do some fireworks in front of the home crowd as well. David Warner and Prithvi Shaw showed what they are made of, finally in this campaign of Delhi which lacked prowess in the batting department. Will Chennai record a commanding win away from home? Or will Delhi head out of the competition with their heads held high? We shall find out together.
