OUT! RUN OUT! Wow, a moment of unbelievable magic from the English skipper and Ravindra Jadeja is a goner. The batters set off for the quick single but Ben Stokes attacks the ball well, puts in the dive to his right and reverse-flicks it in one swift go back onto the stumps at the bowler's end. ... DAY 4, THIRD SESSION ...

Right then, the Test match is nicely poised at the moment where both the teams have a chance to emerge victorious. India still needs 136 runs to win and England needs 7 wickets before that. Time is no factor in this match as there is one full day left tomorrow. The Final session of the day is coming up which is definitely going to keep all of us on the edge of our seats as this session can determine where the result is going to fall on this 1st Test of this series between England and India. England on the other hand have been pretty solid with their tactics but they did let it slip in the last half an hour of the session. Tom Hartley seems to have let go of all the jitters from the first innings and bowled brilliantly as he picked all three wickets. Joe Root did bowl well in patches but Ben Stokes would have liked a bit more from him. Jack Leach also bowled a few overs and looked good but they still need to keep their focus and look to take wickets as the runs will keep on coming sooner or later.

SESSION SUMMARY - 29 overs, 95 runs and 3 wickets. Another riveting session of Test cricket has gone by and at the end of it, India still need 136 runs to win with 7 wickets in hand. England looked to be in control of that session for a long time but India have managed to pull it back nicely with an unbeaten stand of 32 runs between KL Rahul and Axar Patel. For India, it wasn't the best of starts as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill both fell in the same over in the first half an hour or so and then the skipper was also undone by Tom Hartley. Rahul though ha taken his form from the first innings and hasn't let that dropped catch of Ollie Pope bother him too much. Axar, who has been sent up the top order has done a fine job as well.

Well negotiated by KL Rahul and England end the session with a maiden. Joe Root flights this one up on the off stump, Rahul leans on and blcoks it with a dead bat. That will be Tea on Day 4!

India, after being on top for the first 2 days suffered a setback yesterday with both bat and ball. They were all out in the first hour of the match and then leaked a lot of runs during their bowling. Jasprit Bumrah has been the pick of the Indian bowlers as he not only has picked 2 very important wickets but also has been very economical and has bowled according to the plan. India will be eager to bounce back and get the English batter all out before they touch the 200 mark. Regardless, they will have to bat really well to chase down anything over 150 as the wicket is becoming more and more favorable to the spinners. India has the second new ball due in the next three overs and will be formulating all their plans keeping that in mind.

A very good morning to each and everyone joining us here today on Day 4 of this 1st Test Match between India and England where England in their second innings is 316/6 after 77 overs bowled and currently holds a lead of 126 runs. England won the toss and chose to Bat first and was able to put a first-innings score of 246. India in reply scored 436 runs getting a first innings lead of 190 runs. England came out to bat positive yesterday and are eyeing a lead of over 200 runs and looking at the way the wicket is playing, it is going to be a par total for India to chase. Ollie Pope, England’s number 3 is still at the crease batting at 148 not out overnight score, and along with him is the young Rehan Ahmed batting on the overnight score of 16. England at one point were 163/5 when Ollie Pope and Ben Foakes stitched up a 100-run partnership before Ben Foakes was dismissed by Axar Patel in the final hour of the match. England currently holds a strong position and will be looking to capitalise and turn the game in their favor. The first session is going to be a very important one for both teams.

OUT! BOWLED'EM! One keeps low and Ben Foakes has to walk back. Axar Patel bowls it with a high-arm action and angles it in flatter from outside off. The ball comes in with the angle and Foakes looks to back away and push it out on the off side but the ball stays low and sneask under the willow to crash into the stumps. Some respite for Axar who went for plenty runs and even dropped a catch but has now broken the vital stand. Foakes has done his job though.
