Commentary
Who saw this coming on Day 5? The game was almost looking dead coming into Day 5 with Pakistan in a comfortable position with a lot of wickets in hand but with a little help for Bangladesh they came out with a lot of determination, bowled tight and made the most out of it. Rizwan once again played a crucial role but he got no support from others. The wickets kept falling and in the end they are close to another home defeat now. Stay tuned for the chase.
A performance to remember for Bangladesh and out of nowhere they have made it possible to sneak in a victory here. There is still some work to do for the Bangladeshi batters. They need some runs to win and it is certain that the victory will arrive.

...THIRD INNINGS...
Pakistan will be happy they they didn't let the tail wag much. They started the third session really well by taking the wickets of Rahim, Hasan and then the tail. However, it didn't come easily as they had to grind hard under scorching heat and not much assistance from the pitch. The seamers shined for them. Naseem Shah ended with three wickets while Afridi, Shahzad and Ali ended with two each. Pakistan have more than hours to bat now and will hope not to lose any wickets till the end of the day. Stay tuned.
Shoriful Islam's quick cameo helps Bangladesh stretch the lead to 117 runs. A solid show from Bangladesh with the bat. They were 53/2 at one stage but then came some marathon innings and a couple of big partnerships for them. Shadman Islam at the top along with Mominul Haque. Mushfiqur Rahim along with Litton Das first and then Mehidy Hasan. However, Mushfiqur Rahim's 191 was the highlight of all of them. The veteran stepped up and played a brilliant innings to help Bangladesh take a decent lead.

Bangladesh were brilliant with the new ball! They got three in no time but after that, they had to toil hard, the wicket was offering nothing and it was hard work for their bowlers. They though needed to be a lot more discipline but lack of wickets made them try things which saw them leak runs. The conditions are wonderful for batting though and their batters would want to make use of it. Pakistan on the other hand, would love to get a couple before Stumps.
Pakistan have declared then! End of a long batting effort from them and they have a big score on the board. At one stage, they were three down for not a lot and were in big trouble. However, the middle order stepped up. First Ayub and Shakeel steadied the ship. Ayub fell short after getting to a half ton but Shakeel continued. Rizwan was also at his best and both scored tons and put up a massive stand. They have taken their side into a position from where losing the game is quite difficult.

That's it from this game then! Bangladesh do what not lot expected them to, they have taken an unassailable lead in the series. The next game is a must win for Pakistan. That game begins on the 30th of August (5.00 AM GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care!
Najmul Hossain Shanto says it was a very special win. Adds they have never won here and he is pleased they could do it. Mentions they had believe in themselves. Further says they have worked really hard. Credits the bowlers for the way they bowled. Appreciates the batters for the way they played. Ends by saying he hopes they can continue this form.
Shan Masood says the wicket didn't play as they thought it would. Admits they made a lot of mistakes and they need to correct it. Mentions they need to do a lot better going ahead and they got the weather forecast wrong too. Adds they bowled well and the cracks did open up and Bangladesh took advantage.
Mushfiqur Rahim says this is one their finest win. Credit goes to all the players and how they prepared themselves. Mentions they trained a lot when they had a gap and it was very benicifical for them. Ends by saying he always tries to give his 100 percent and he wants to do his best for his side.
Heading into Day 4, a Draw looked the likeliest result but Bangladesh had different ideas. Their bowlers rose to the occasion and delivered. The likes of Rana, Hasan, Mehidy and Shakib made quick work of the Bangladesh batting line up. They bowled them out in under two sessions and chased down a very small score with relative ease.
In reply, Bangladesh also enjoyed the placid conditions out there and they ended up taking a lead of over 100. For them it was more like a combined effort by their batters, however, the star of the show was Rahim who played one of the finest knocks by a Bangladesh player.
This game just came to life on the last day! Till then, it was moving along at a very slow pace. It was Pakistan who were inserted and they put up a really good score despite being in trouble early on. Shakeel and Rizwan were the stars.
What a win! What a present for Shanto on his birthday! He couldn't not have asked for anything better from his team. Absolutely brilliant. End of an outstanding performance. They are the first team to beat Pakistan in Pakistan by 10 wickets. Sensational stuff.

...THIRD INNINGS...
Pakistan will be happy they they didn't let the tail wag much. They started the third session really well by taking the wickets of Rahim, Hasan and then the tail. However, it didn't come easily as they had to grind hard under scorching heat and not much assistance from the pitch. The seamers shined for them. Naseem Shah ended with three wickets while Afridi, Shahzad and Ali ended with two each. Pakistan have more than hours to bat now and will hope not to lose any wickets till the end of the day. Stay tuned.
Shoriful Islam's quick cameo helps Bangladesh stretch the lead to 117 runs. A solid show from Bangladesh with the bat. They were 53/2 at one stage but then came some marathon innings and a couple of big partnerships for them. Shadman Islam at the top along with Mominul Haque. Mushfiqur Rahim along with Litton Das first and then Mehidy Hasan. However, Mushfiqur Rahim's 191 was the highlight of all of them. The veteran stepped up and played a brilliant innings to help Bangladesh take a decent lead.

Bangladesh started the day with all their wickets in hand but they lost Zakir Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto in quick spell. Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque then built a strong partnership of 94 runs before the latter fell after his fifty. Mushfiqur Rahim then added 52 along with Islam who missed out on his century by 7 runs as he fell right at the stroke of Tea. Pakistan have let this game slip a bit. Shan Masood started this session with spin from one end and Khurram Shahzad from the other side. Islam survived an LBW scare, but Khurram Shahzad got rid of Haque after his fine fifty. Pakistan started the session well with two wickets as the ball moved slightly. Pitch Report - Nick Compton says it has been a run fest so far despite the talks that the surface will help the fast bowlers. Adds we did see some turn on Day 2 for Mehidy Hasan and Shakib. Shares the odd balls might turn a bit but still it is a good batting track.
Hello and welcome to the action of Day 3 between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Apart from one session in this match, both days have been dominated by the hosts so far. Day 2 saw Pakistan stretch their scoring feat by a long margin with Shakeel and Rizwan both scoring a magnificent century. A lapse of concentration saw Shakeel get out on 141 but Rizwan continued on his merry way and scored more than 150 before the skipper declared the innings and pitched Bangladesh to play a small tricky passage at the end of Day 2 however, the visitors without losing any wicket dealt with it. There is a lot of runs to be scored on this pitch. It’s really good one to bat on and if Bangladesh start well today they can make the Pakistani seamers suffer a bit. Stay tuned for more updates.

The partnership between Rizwan and Shakeel earlier helped Pakistan get to a big first innings score. However, Bangladesh have begun well but they'll need big efforts from their batters too. Pakistan will hope the wicket does start playing tricks or it could well be hard work in the field for them too. They'll be hoping for a couple of wickets early to put the visitors under pressure. Commentary
Bangladesh were brilliant with the new ball! They got three in no time but after that, they had to toil hard, the wicket was offering nothing and it was hard work for their bowlers. They though needed to be a lot more discipline but lack of wickets made them try things which saw them leak runs. The conditions are wonderful for batting though and their batters would want to make use of it. Pakistan on the other hand, would love to get a couple before Stumps.
Pakistan have declared then! End of a long batting effort from them and they have a big score on the board. At one stage, they were three down for not a lot and were in big trouble. However, the middle order stepped up. First Ayub and Shakeel steadied the ship. Ayub fell short after getting to a half ton but Shakeel continued. Rizwan was also at his best and both scored tons and put up a massive stand. They have taken their side into a position from where losing the game is quite difficult.

Another session dominated by Pakistan! They have managed to score over 100 runs and just lost the one wicket. It was the Rizwan and Shakeel show. They both got up their tons and continued to pile the misery on Bangladesh. Pakistan looked all set for a wicketless session but Hasan struck just before the break. Pakistan though will hope these two can continue the good work and they'll be hoping to put up a massive first innings score. Bangladesh need to continue to be patient, there's not a lot of help from the surface and all they can do for now is hit the right lines and lengths. Will we see someone bowl an inspiring spell for them and get them back into the game? We will find out.

...Day 2, Session 2...
Bangladesh are already looking tired as we come to the end of the first session. The pitch is flat and a decent one to bat on. Not many demons are on the deck and none were seen when the Bangladeshi seamers came to bowl. Their bowling wasn't accurate as well bowling outside off numerous times. Najmul Hossain Shanto turned to Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan in the last phase of the session but even they didn't get much turn out of the deck. It feels like Bangladesh have to ground really hard to find a breakthrough. They needed this break to re-energise themselves. Stay tuned for the second session.
LUNCH! A commanding start to Day 2 and Pakistan build on the foundation they laid on Day 1. They are in the driver's seat and look in a very comfortable position right now. Hello and welcome to the action of Day 2 between Pakistan and Bangladesh. An intriguing Day 1 saw the first session blow out due to wet outfield but Bangladesh pacers cash in to a vibrant pitch which supported them really well in the second session however Pakistan came back strongly from a precarious position of 16/3 to building a 98 run stand between Ayub and Shakeel. Both scored a fine fifty with Shakeel still out there unbeaten on 57 along with Rizwan. Bangladesh will be gutted as they allowed such a stand to build but will hope to start Day 2 with a couple of quick wickets in first session. Stay tuned for more updates.

STUMPS! The light has begun to fade away and the umpires call it stumps. An excellent couple of sessions for Pakistan. From 16/3, they have bailed themselves out massively and all thanks to Shakeel and Ayub they end Day 1 on a high. Earlier, we lost a full session due to a wet outfield. The ground staff worked tremendously to get the ground ready and despite losing a session, we got a lot of good stuff to watch. Bangladesh used the new ball brilliantly as they got three wickets inside the first 10 overs. Shakeel and Ayub then negotiated the swing and just hung around as long as possible. Once the ball got old they scored runs briskly. Ayub scored a fine fifty before he fell. Shakeel too edged the ball a couple of times but got lucky. End of a very exciting session! It was Bangladesh who began brilliantly as they got three in no time after electing to bowl. However, Saud Shakeel and Ayub have fought back very well. They counter attacked and have put up a 65-run stand in no time. The wicket seems to have eased out quite a lot and Pakistan will hope the two set batters can make full use of it and keep batting. Najmul Hossain Shanto says it was a very special win. Adds they have never won here and he is pleased they could do it. Mentions they had believe in themselves. Further says they have worked really hard. Credits the bowlers for the way they bowled. Appreciates the batters for the way they played. Ends by saying he hopes they can continue this form.
Shan Masood says the wicket didn't play as they thought it would. Admits they made a lot of mistakes and they need to correct it. Heading into Day 4, a Draw looked the likeliest result but Bangladesh had different ideas. Their bowlers rose to the occasion and delivered. The likes of Rana, Hasan, Mehidy and Shakib made quick work of the Bangladesh batting line up. They bowled them out in under two sessions and chased down a very small score with relative ease.
In reply, Bangladesh also enjoyed the placid conditions out there and they ended up taking a lead of over 100. For them it was more like a combined effort by their batters, however, the star of the show was Rahim who played one of the finest knocks by a Bangladesh player.
This game just came to life on the last day! Till then, it was moving along at a very slow pace. It was Pakistan who were inserted and they put up a really good score despite being in trouble early on. Shakeel and Rizwan were the stars.
What a win! What a present for Shanto on his birthday! He couldn't not have asked for anything better from his team. Absolutely brilliant. End of an outstanding performance. They are the first team to beat Pakistan in Pakistan by 10 wickets. Sensational stuff.
