Right then, that's the end of this historic tour as Scotland hosted Australia for the first time in a bilateral T20I series and the crowd came in large numbers to see their side take on the big guns. The Aussies did wrap up the series 3-0 but Scotland will surely take a lot from this series. Australia now head to England for a proper white-ball tour that includes 3 T20Is and 5 ODIs. The first T20I will be played on Wednesday, 11 September at 5.30 pm GMT but you can join us a lot sooner for the build-up as well. Hope you enjoyed our coverage, until next time then, take care and goodbye!

Next up, Mitchell Marsh is presented with a traditional Scottish 'Quaich' which is a shallow bowl with two handles and it is a symbol of Scottish hospitality and friendship. Marsh is then joined by his teammates and they pose for a team photo along with the Quaich.

The captain of Australia, Mitchell Marsh says that it was a great week for them. States that they had a lot of contributors which is what you want in a young team. Further says that he is glad to see young guys stepping up at different moments. Shares that it was fantastic to play in front of this crowd and a privilege to come and play in this part of the world. Ends by saying with a grin on his face that it will be nice to have the Scottish people on their side when they travel to England.

Richie Berrington, the captain of Scotland says that it has been a tough week results wise for them but to get this opportunity and exposure is brilliant and it is something they need more of to keep improving. Adds that there were things they knew they should have done a lot better and to see the atmosphere and support at The Grange is amazing. Mentions that the margins of error are very small against the big sides and they did have some positives like Brandon McMullen and a few of the young guys putting in the effort. Also, he goes on to credit Cricket Scotland for hosting this tour and hopes to see more such series in the future.

Cameron Green is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his superb all-round performance. He says what they got from the series is a lot of guys getting opportunities and hopes that this can lead them to some good cricket in the next series. He says that he had a lot of fun in the Indian T20 League and loves this format equally as the other two. When asked what he liked the most about Scotland as a nation, he jokingly says that it was probably the golf.

The Presentation ceremony...

Earlier in the game, Mitchell Marsh won the toss and put Scotland into bat on a used deck but one that was still pretty good for batting. It was a similar story to the first game as Scotland scored quick runs inside the Powerplay but lost a couple of wickets and couldn't kick on in the middle. Too many starts and only one knock of real substance from Brandon McMullen who scored 56 and Scotland huffed and puffed to 149 runs. Cameron Green picked up 3 wickets and looked like the best of the bunch as the likes of Sean Abbott and Aaron Hardie picked up a couple of wickets each. In reply, Australia stumbled early on but were able to get ahead quickly and rounded off a very positive series with another comfortable win.

There was a bit in the deck for the Scottish pacers early on and the duo of Brandon McMullen and Brad Currie were used smartly for the first four overs. However, an extra over for both turned out to be a bane and those who came in to bowl later, simply couldn't pile on the pressure. Currie picked up a couple of wickets and there were a few opportunities created as well but Scottish bowlers couldn't pick up wickets in a heap and were brushed aside with ease.

Chasing a target of 150 runs, Australia were shaky to begin with and young Jake Fraser-McGurk fell for a duck yet again. Travis Head played the way he does but soon perished as well before Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green steadied the ship. They took on the bowling soon enough and got on top of the run chase. Green was the standout with an unbeaten knock of 62(39) with Marsh and then Tim David playing fine cameos as well.

A job well done for Australia and they have flexed their muscles by sweeping Scotland 3-0 in Edinburgh before heading off to play their eternal rivals England in a few days' time. Scotland showed glimpses of their greatness from a few months back in the T20 World Cup but were patchy with the bat and in their overall play as well.

16.14

FOUR! That will do nicely for Australia! Aaron Hardie seals the clean sweep with a boundary! Sole pitches it up, outside off, and Hardie is quick to pick the line and length. He leans into the drive and creams it through covers for a beautifully timed boundary. Australia win by 6 wickets and complete a clean sweep over Scotland!

In the air...but safe! Watt smartly slows it up, full and on off, Green goes for a swipe across the line but gets a leading edge that goes straight up and in front of short third. Commentary

Welcome back for Australia's reply! A pep talk from Richie Berrington in the Scottish huddle, rallying his troops before they make their way out to the centre. They are joined by the two Aussie openers, Travis Head and Jake Fraser-McGurk. Brandon McMullen will start with the new ball with the keeper, Matthew Cross standing up to the stumps. Away we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Right then, the Australian bowling unit has done its job, and now it's over to their batters to chase down the target and complete the clean sweep. For Scotland, they'll need to take a leaf out of Australia's book by utilizing their bowlers’ height to extract movement off the deck and trouble the batters. If the Scots can replicate the discipline and variations Australia showed, they might just make a contest of it. Back in a bit for the chase.

A familiar script unfolded for Brandon McMullen, with wickets tumbling around him, leaving him to once again play the role of rescuer for Scotland. He injected some much-needed impetus into the innings, navigating the tricky middle overs and soon reaching a well-deserved fifty. However, after his departure, Scotland struggled to capitalize on the back end of their innings, failing to finish with the flourish they would have hoped for. The momentum they had built with McMullen at the crease fizzled out, leaving them short of a competitive total.

Earlier, after opting to bowl first, Australia found early success courtesy of Aaron Hardie, who struck quickly to dent Scotland's start. George Munsey, despite looking scratchy at the outset, soon found his rhythm and appeared to be gaining momentum. However, just as he was starting to look dangerous, his innings was cut short. Mitchell Marsh employed six bowlers in total, rotating them smartly to keep the Scottish batters from settling into any sort of rhythm. As Australia tightened the screws during the middle overs, Scotland struggled, losing wickets at regular intervals as they tried to force the pace.

Well, Scotland's innings fizzled out towards the end, finishing 1 run short of the 150-run mark. When Brandon McMullen was at the crease, the hosts were decently placed at 132/5 after 16 overs, but after his dismissal, the hosts could only muster 11 runs from the next 20 balls, ending up with 149 on the board. It was yet another collective effort from Australia’s bowling unit, each bowler chipping in to apply pressure at crucial moments. The fielding, too, was sharp, backing up the bowlers and ensuring Scotland could never really hit the top gear.

A single to end and Scotland just finish shy of the 150-run mark. Green opts to go full and bowls it around off stump, Safyaan Sharif jams it out on the bounce towards cover and the batters scamper across for the single. Scotland finish with 149/9 on the board!

19.50

Another dot ball! The off-cutter now from Cameron Green, bowled on a hard length on the stumps and this one jags back in, Safyaan Sharif backs away but the ball follows him and beats the bat, going just over the stumps.

19.40

Takes pace off once more and bowls it a bit short and wide of the off stump, Safyaan Sharif looks to slash it away but is well beaten.

19.31

On a good length, slower again and angled in at the stumps, Brad Currie works it away to deep square leg and turns the strike over.

19.31wd

WIDE! Slower one, bowled full but just down leg, wide called.

Brad Currie is the last man in.

19.2W

OUT! CAUGHT! That is a fine, fine take in the deep from Jake Fraser-McGurk and what seemed like a likely collision has turned out to be a very calm catch. Cameron Green digs it into the deck again and over the stumps, Mark Watt has a swing across the line and connects this time but there's not much timing on it. The ball seems to land between deep square leg and deep mid-wicket and fielders from both areas run across. However, Jake is the one who slides to his left from mid-wicket and calmly pouches it with both hands as Sean Abbott manages to avoid contact with him.

19.10

Starts from around the stumps to the left-hander and bowls a well-disguised slower ball, into the deck and outside off. Mark Watt comes down the pitch to have a swing at it but misses.

Who will bowl the final over? It will be Cameron Green. 3-0-32-2 so far for the Aussie all-rounder.

Done and dusted with the rituals and now it is time to play. A clip from a while ago is then played where Cooper Connolly was presented his cap by Marcus Stoinis and it is a proud moment for him, especially with his parents in the crowd as well. Back to live action now and the umpires and the players of Australia are out in the middle. The opening pair of Ollie Hairs and George Munsey walk out to bat in front of a jam-packed home crowd. It will be Aaron Hardie to get things underway with the new ball. Let's go...

Just a few minutes left now for the action to begin but first up, it is time for some pre-match formalities. The two sets of players walk out to the middle and line up for their respective national anthems. It will be the national anthem of Australia first, followed by the national anthem of Scotland.

PITCH REPORT - Andrew Leonard is pitchside. He says that it is the same surface used in the first two games and there is one point of concern which is on a fuller length on one side. Adds that you want runs on this surface and the boundaries seem deceptively small and if you bat first, you need 200 on the board.

The captain of Scotland, Richie Berrington says that they would have bowled first as well. Feels that the conditions did not change much in the previous two games and there was a good amount of movement on offer with the new ball in the second inning. Further says that it can be tough to defend at this venue but hopes that they can put a big total on the board. Informs that Jack Jarvis, Safyaan Sharif, Matthew Cross and Ollie Hairs are the four guys coming into the side for this game.

Mitchell Marsh, the captain of Australia says that they will bowl first. Adds that in T20 cricket it always feels a bit closer than it is and the opposition top order can take the game away. Informs that Cooper Connolly is all set to come in and he replaces Xavier Bartlett.

Australia (Playing XI) - Travis Head, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Josh Inglis (WK), Mitchell Marsh (C), Cameron Green, Marcus Stoinis, Cooper Connolly (On debut) (In for Xavier Bartlett), Tim David, Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott, Adam Zampa.

Scotland (Playing XI) - George Munsey, Ollie Hairs (In for Michael Jones), Brandon McMullen, Richie Berrington (C), Matthew Cross (WK) (In for Charlie Tear), Michael Leask, Mark Watt, Jack Jarvis (In for Chris Greaves), Chris Sole, Safyaan Sharif (In for Brad Wheal), Brad Currie.

TOSS - Australia have won the flip of the coin and they have elected to BOWL first.

In case you missed it, the second T20I started after a 30-minute delay due to foggy and misty conditions, and similar weather might greet us again today. Can Scotland produce their best performance of the series and salvage some pride? Or will Australia complete the clean sweep? Stick around for the toss and team news.

In his post-match interview, Aussie skipper Mitchell Marsh hinted at a couple of changes but emphasised that the focus remains squarely on a clean sweep. And knowing Australia’s relentless pursuit of perfection, it’s hard to imagine them taking their foot off the pedal. Cooper Connolly, the exciting young southpaw, is the only player from the touring side who hasn't had a hit yet, and today might be the day he makes his international debut.

Scotland showed significant improvement with the ball after the battering they took in the opener. Yes, Josh Inglis took them apart with a stunning century, but across both teams, he was the only batter who seemed to have cracked the surface, with others struggling for timing. Chasing a stiff target of 197, the Scottish batters found it even more difficult on a slightly two-paced pitch with their timing issues compounding an already steep chase.

Hello and a warm welcome, folks, from a buzzing Edinburgh for one final hurrah in this series! Scotland, after running Australia close during the World Cup earlier this year, entered this series brimming with hopes of replicating that intensity, perhaps even pulling off a historic win. But the Aussies, ever ruthless, have flexed their muscles and sealed the series with a commanding 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

... MATCH DAY ...

Australia's maiden tour of Scotland has begun with a bang, as the visitors dominated the series opener. This historic three-match T20I series is set to deliver more thrills and excitement, with Australia firmly in control. The Aussies have been on a roll, really showing why they're a force to be reckoned with in the first two T20Is. Their reputation? They're living up to it, and then some. On the batting front, it's been quite a show. Travis Head kicked things off with a blistering 80 off 25 balls in the first match. Not to be outdone, Josh Inglis smashed 103 from just 49 deliveries in the second. With Marsh finding his groove too, Australia's batting lineup is looking pretty formidable. The likes of Jake Fraser-McGurk, who has been a bit quiet with the bat, would definitely want some runs to their name as well. But it's not all about the batters. The Aussie bowlers have been bringing their A-game as well. It's been a real team effort on that front, with everyone chipping in and doing their part. All in all, Australia's been firing on all cylinders - dominant with the bat, sharp with the ball. And now with the series clinched already, they might try out their bench players too. Young and talented all rounder Cooper Connolly is awaiting his chance as well, ready to showcase his talent. On the flip side, Scotland's been having a tough go of it. This series is a whole new ballgame for them. They’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain in terms of experience, but it's proving to be quite the uphill battle. Their batting's been a bit of inconsistent. To put it in perspective, only Brandon McMullen has managed to cross the 50-run mark across both games. That's a pretty clear sign they need to step up their game with the bat in this final match. When it comes to bowling, there've been a couple of bright spots. Bradley Currie and Mark Watt have shown some promise, but they're not getting much backup from the rest of the bowling squad. It's worth noting that Scotland's struggles aren't entirely surprising. The lack of exposure to high-stakes international cricket is showing in their performance. And that's what these series are for - learning and growing. They've got one more shot to turn things around and end on a high note. Who are you supporting for this final T20I?
