Akota is constituency number 143 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. It is one of the ten Assembly seats of Gujarat's Vadodara district apart from Savli, Vaghodia, Dabhoi, Vadodara City, Sayajigunj, Raopura, Manjalpur, Padra and Karjan. It is one of the seven Assembly seats that make up the Vadodara Lok Sabha constituency. The Akota Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (STs).
