Jamnagar North is constituency number seventy-eight of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. It is one of the five Assembly seats of Gujarat's Jamnagar district apart from Jamnagar Rural, Jamnagar South, Kalavad and Jamjodhpur. It is one of the seven Assembly seats that make up the Jamnagar Lok Sabha constituency. The Jamnagar North Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (STs). In 2017, BJP's Dharmendrasinh Jadeja defeated Congress candidate Jivanbhai Karubhai Ahir by 40,963 votes. In 2022, the BJP fielded cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife Rivaba Jadeja from the constituency. She is taking on Congress candidate Bipendrasinh Jadeja and AAP's Karsanbhai Karmur.
