Visnagar is constituency number twenty-two of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. It is one of the seven Assembly seats of Gujarat's Mahesana district apart from Kheralu, Unjha, Becharaji, Kadi, Mahesana and Vijapur. It is one of the seven Assembly seats that make up the Mahesana Lok Sabha constituency. The Visnagar Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (STs).
