Bangladesh's stand-in captain Najmul Hossain Shanto says he would have liked to bat first anyway. Adds that they are determined to win this match and they are pretty much sure they will win the match. Informs that they have a few changes to their side with Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Nasum Ahmed playing on behalf of Shakib Al Hasan, Shoriful Islam and Tanzim Hasan Sakib. Ends by saying that they are aware of the permutations regarding the Champions Trophy place.

Australia's skipper, Pat Cummins says they would like to bowl first as it looks like a good track but it might do a bit in the morning. Adds that they have made two changes as Steven Smith is back and Sean Abbott is in as well with Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc being rested. Mentions that he will be hoping to restrict the opponents early on and do well with the chase as well. Says that he doesn't think they have played their best cricket as a unit so far but would be hoping to do that today. Also adds that they were all on cloud 9 with the way they won the last game and especially the batting performance by Maxwell.

Mentions that it is a bit cold which is unusual in India and might have something in it for the bowlers early on. Hayden also adds that it is one of those pitches that seems like a batting haven.

Steven Smith is all-set to be back in the Playing XI for Australia after missing out in the previous game due to a case of Vertigo. In all likeliness, Glenn Maxwell will be the one who is rested and Sean Abbott might also get a game in in place of Mitchell Starc or even Josh Hazlewood.

Bangladesh has had a very disappointing campaign and have faced 6 defeats. However, they have won their last game against the Lankans and will be confident coming into this match. The bowling unit has fared well in patches but has often leaked a lot of runs. The form of their openers will be a topic of discussion for the team but the form of a few batters down the order might provide the stability in the batting lineup. Mahmadullah has also played some fine knocks and the experience of Mushfiqur Rahim is an additional benefit to the team but the latter has to do more. This team has some good names in the squad but the batting and bowling unit hasn't been complementing each other which leads to their loss and without Shakib Al Hasan, the team misses out on a genuine all-rounder. This is the last match in the league stages for both teams so it will be an exciting contest to watch. Adam Zampa has been amazing in these spin-friendly conditions and he has troubled all the batters. The pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Cummins can prove to be lethal throughout the innings. Overall, this is a very balanced and strong squad and you can never write them off which was demonstrated by Maxwell and Cummins in the last game.
