PITCH REPORT - Danny Morison says that one side of the square is big and the other side is small. Aaron Finch joins him and mentions that it will be interesting to see how the captains manage their spinners as one side of the square is 61 meters. Adds that there is a lot more grass on this particular surface but also mentions that the spinners will still have the upper hand.

Naveen-ul-Haq is up for a chat. He says that it is a great experience for him to come here and play as a pacer from Afghanistan. Adds that it always helps when you come to a venue in which you have played and the red soil here gives you the confidence to do well. Mentions that the black soil wicket allows you to bowl more cutter whereas the red soil wickets have more bounce. Reckons that they need to do a bit better with the bat to get two points here.

On the other hand, Chennai suffered a heart-breaking loss against Punjab last time around that too on the game's final delivery. Devon Conway has been in sensational form and is showing no signs of slowing down. They have a couple of bowlers like Ravindra Jadeja and Matheesha Pathirana who are doing well but they need players like Ambati Rayudu and Maheesh Theekshana to step up a bit more. Lucknow come into this game on the back of a defeat in their last outing against Bangalore. After being asked to bowl first, Lucknow spinners ruled the roost and restricted Bangalore to 126 on a sluggish wicket. The absence of KL Rahul could turn out to be a massive blow for the home side, and they will need the rest of the batting group to fill that void.
