That is it from yet another fascinating encounter and the look of the points table changes yet again. There is one more game to go on this doubleheader Sunday as Chennai take on Kolkata in Chennai. You can simply switch tabs and catch our coverage of that game and keep on enjoying all the cricketing action. Cheers!

Wayne Parnell (3-0-10-3) is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his sensational spell with the ball. Parnell starts by praising the batters, who set the tone at the fag end of the innings. Mentions that the message from their batters was clear at the halfway mark, they just told him to not offer much pace and keep attacking the stumps consistently. Informs that fielding is very important, and it was really great to see the manner in which the players supported the bowlers. Ends by saying that despite remaining on the sidelines, it all about remaining switched on whenever a chance comes knocking at the door.

The Bangalore skipper, Faf du Plessis says that this win is really good for their net run rate and feels that it was a difficult pitch to bat on. Adds that it was keeping low and they thought 160 was a good score but that late blitz pushed them over that score. Mentions that they haven't been able to close off the innings well with the bat but Anuj Rawat managed to do that in this game. Says that it is non-negotiable to be sloppy in the field and it is good to see the blokes celebrating with passion. On the bowling, he says that they thought finger spinners on this pitch had more ability to bowl on the right lengths than the wrist spinners and that is why they also brought on Shahbaz Ahmed but almost always there was a left-hander on the crease because of which he didn't bowl. Ends by saying that the next couple of games are vital, especially the last game at home and they will look to win.

The Presentation ceremony...

Michael Bracewell, one of the stars with the ball for Bangalore, is down for a chat. He starts by saying it was nice to get these two points and is delighted to contribute to the side in a winning cause. Bracewell credits the top order, who kept the runs ticking which allowed the lower-order batters to apply the finishing touches. Informs that he tries to not get caught up with the highs and lows of the game. Adds that there were a couple of niggles in the side, which allowed him to sneak into the side. States that they have two more must-win matches for them, and tells that this side thrives under pressure.

Sanju Samson, the skipper of Rajasthan is in for a chat. Starts by saying that they normally go hard in the Powerplay but it didn't go well today. Adds that the nature of T20 cricket is such that they need to start strong with the bat inside the Powerplay. Feels that it could've been a very tight match if they had batted well. Informs that he does not have any answers for how did this batting collapse happen. States that the nature of the Indian T20 League is such that anything can happen at any time. Tells that they will need to bring the best when they play in Dharamsala later on.

Earlier in the game, Faf du Plessis had no hesitation batting first on a wicket that looked to be slowing down throughout the course of play and it certainly did. Bangalore did well to not lose an early wicket but Virat Kohli did get out soon after the Powerplay. After that, it was yet another stellar stand between Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell that made sure the scoreboard kept ticking along. The skipper though soon got out after reaching his 50 and Rajasthan managed to pick up wickets in a heap. Anuj Rawat though played a sensational cameo and took the total to 171, an above-par score on this particular deck. Adam Zampa and Sandeep Sharma bowled very well and were consistent. KM Asif got big wickets but the final over he bowled, cost his side the momentum. Coming to the chase, Rajasthan failed to put up a fight and the Bangalore bowlers took their side over the line without breaking a sweat.

Rajasthan will still be wondering what happened out there in the middle and they will be as shocked as all cricketing fans. Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored a brilliant ton in the previous game got out for a duck and Jos Buttler soon followed him back to the hut. The skipper Sanju Samson then got out playing an unnecessary big shot and from thereon, everything just crumbled. Only Joe Root and Shimron Hetmyer managed to get into double figures and the latter was the only one who was able to take on the opposition bowlers. After the last game, it looked like Rajasthan were back but this game has just sent them firmly on the back foot and also on the verge of being knocked out.

Bangalore had the impetus coming into the chase, thanks to a sublime finish with the bat by Anuj Rawat and they made good use of the early momentum. Mohammed Siraj sent back the dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first over and then Wayne Parnell got rid of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in the very next over. Once they got the top three, Bangalore piled on the pressure and then the slower bowlers came to the fore and just ran through the Rajasthan batting order. Parnell was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets with the likes of Michael Bracewell and Siraj also bowling really well. All their bowlers got onto the wicket's column and all in all, it was a special outing in the field for them.

WOW! WHAT A CRAZY GAME! Bangalore have had an unbelievable outing with the ball and have won the contest by a big, big margin. It was almost a quarterfinal game and Bangalore held their nerve extremely well whereas Rajasthan simply crumbled under pressure and are all but knocked out of the competition.

10.3W

OUT! CAUGHT! THAT IS IT! GAME OVER! Karn Sharma picks up two quick wickets in this over, the final two that Rajasthan had in hand. It is tossed up, on off. KM Asif gets down on one knee and lofts it high up in the air. Asif does not get the desired distance on it. Virat Kohli settles under it at long on and takes a simple catch to bring this game to an end. Bangalore win by 112 runs.

10.20

Quicker and full, on off. Karn Sharma defends it out watchfully.

10.1W

OUT! TIMBER! Another one bites the dust. It is tossed up, around off. It grips and turns away a touch. Adam Zampa tries to be cheeky but pays the price instead. He goes for the reverse-hit but ends up no where near the ball. It sneaks through the gap to damage the stumps. Also, KM Asif is the last man in for Rajasthan.

OUT! CAUGHT! This should be final nail in the coffin. It is tossed up, on middle. Shimron Hetmyer gets low and tries to find the boundary before he takes a single off the final delivery, to retain the strike - Well, this could've been an ideal scenario for Rajasthan, but that was not the case this time. Shimron Hetmyer ends up giving away his wicket and that so be game done from Rajasthan's point of view. Michael Bracewell takes a sharp catch at long on, near the ropes.

9.40

Floated and full, on off. Shimron Hetmyer defneds it back to the bowler.

Adam Zampa chops this one to point and rotates the strike.

Strategic break! It has been just 9 overs in the chase and Bangalore find themselves three wickets away from a memorable win. Mohammed Siraj and Wayne Parnell laid the foundation at the start and the latter was simply outstanding. The way Rajasthan batted up top though left a lot to be desired and have only themselves to blame for getting into this position. Shimron Hetmyer has hit a flurry of maximums but it will still require an unreal effort from him to get his side anywhere near the target. Also, Glenn Maxwell now comes into the attack.

It is a length ball, on off. Shimron Hetmyer punches it to sweeper cover. Ravichandran Ashwin calls for the second run but is being sent back here. The throw from Mohammed Siraj is towards the striker's end. Anuj Rawat smartly guides it towards the sticks and gets the bails off. The replays confirm that Ravichandran Ashwin is short of the crease here.

Commentary

We are back for Rajasthan's reply. Bangalore players are seen to be in a huddle before they make their way out on the track. Bangalore get Shahbaz Ahmed into the side as the IMPACT PLAYER. Dinesh Karthik is the one who makes his way out. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal stride out to the middle to open for Rajasthan. Mohammed Siraj to start with the new ball. Here we go...

... Run Chase ...

It could well have been worse for Bangalore if not for Anuj Rawat's mighty strike at the fag end of the innings. It was Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell who kept Bangalore in the game with their respective half-centuries. Rajasthan were brilliant with the ball throughout the inning but might feel that they lost the advantage in the final two overs. Adam Zampa was brilliant in his spell. He was the only spinner who got into the wicket's column for his side. The Australian spinner ended with a brace. Bangalore have got runs on the board, but Rajasthan do have plenty of batters who are capable of chasing 172 runs, no matter how the wicket behaves. Will Rajasthan be able to record a commanding win over Bangalore? We shall find out soon, do join us for the second essay shortly.

What a turnaround by Bangalore. It looked like they will end up with an under-par score, although Anuj Rawat's cameo has put the visitors on the driving seat here. KM Asif who was the stand out performer with the ball for most part of the inning, but he could not keep things tight in the final over and ends up handing the momentum to the opposition heading into the break.

FOUR! Powered away and Anuj Rawat has finished things off sensationally for Bangalore. KM Asif goes full and wide this time, Rawat gets well across the off stump and heaves it away toward cow corner. The ball flies off the bat and beats the man there to his right. 18 come off the final over and Bangalore finish with a solid total of 171/5 on the board!

19.56

SIX! And again! Anuj Rawat is playing a gem of a cameo here. Length ball angled across off stump, Rawat gets across and holds his shape before muscling it over the mid-wicket fence for another maximum.

19.46

SIX! Anuj Rawat gets hold of that one! Length ball outside off, Rawat shuffles across and shimmies down the track as well before whacking it over the cow corner fence for a biggie.

19.30

Swing and a miss! This is bowled a bit fuller and around off, Anuj Rawat gets across his stumps and tries to heave it across the line. The ball though goes past the inside edge.

19.21

Hard length around off, Michael Bracewell stands tall and hits it away toward deep mid-wicket for one more.

19.11

Angles this one well across the left-hander, Anuj Rawat looks to drag the slog but gets an inside edge toward short fine leg. They pick up a single.

A bit shorter and around off, pulled away in front of deep mid-wicket for a single.

18.44

FOUR! Nicely played! A high full toss on the stumps, Anuj Rawat pre-meditates the reverse-sweep and manages to top-edge it over short third man for a boundary. The 150 is now up for Bangalore.

18.31

Doesn't quite get the timing right. This is floated up on middle, Michael Bracewell thumps it straight back over the bowler's head but for just another single.

18.21

Slower through the air and pushed outside off, Anuj Rawat drags it toward cow corner for just a single.

18.11

Tossed up outside off, Michael Bracewell frees his arms and powers it straight down the ground. The fielder from long on though gets quickly across to his left and keeps it down to a single.

17.40

Good length around the top of off, nudged away toward point.

Who comes in now? It is Anuj Rawat.

17.3W

OUT! BOWLED'EM! Sandeep Sharma gets the better of Glenn Maxwell here. Sharma bowls this one full and angles the ball into middle and leg. Maxwell tries to be a bit too inventive as he looks to reverse-sweep the pacer. The ball is just too full and sneaks under the willow to crash into the stumps. Maxwell is gutted and Rajasthan get another timely breakthrough. End of a solid knock from Maxwell though.

17.21

Drags it down a bit and angles it well across the left-hander. Michael Bracewell reaches out and toe-ends it down to long off for one more.

16.40

Nicely bowled! Gives it some flight and throws it outside off, Glenn Maxwell simply leaves it alone.

16.34

The throw from Mohammed Siraj is towards the striker's end. Anuj Rawat smartly guides it towards the sticks and gets the bails off. The replays confirm that Ravichandran Ashwin is short of the crease here.

Is that a run-out? This might just be a brilliant piece of keeping from Anuj Rawat and the third umpire is called in. A bit of a mix-up in the middle and Ravichandran Ashwin is sent back. The throw from the deep comes in from Mohammed Siraj and it is toward the keeper's end. Rawat cheekily back-flicks it onto the stumps and the replays show that Ashwin's bat is on the line. OUT comes up on the big screen!

Padikkal does so but a bit uppishly. The ball goes toward Mohammed Siraj at short mid-wicket and he takes a good low catch in front of him. It is sent upstairs to be checked and it is a close one but Siraj seems to have his fingers underneath and the third umpire signals it Out as well.

Wayne Parnell stays around the wicket and bangs it a short ball at the body. Samson looks to take it on but is way too early in the pull. The ball takes the top edge and goes straight up. The keeper, Rawat calls it early and runs in toward the right of the deck to settle under it and take a brilliant catch. Bangalore are all over Rajasthan now.

14.22wd

Strategic break! The first innings of this game is progressing along nicely and it is pretty evenly balanced at the moment. Bangalore do have the wickets in hand and will look to go after the bowlers and with both Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis well set, they would target a score of around 170. The pitch however is slow and Rajasthan still have a few overs of spin left which could be crucial for them. Can they keep Bangalore to around the 160-run mark? Let's find out. Out come the players of Rajasthan and take their places on the field. Sandeep Sharma has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. Let's play...

Sanju Samson, the captain of Rajasthan is in for a chat. Starts by saying that the wicket seems to be dey and they would've batted first as well. Hopes that they will put their best foot forward and perform brilliantly. Informs that the standard of cricket they have been playing is amazing, apart from that game against Gujarat. States that they have one change to their side, Adam Zampa comes in for Trent Boult.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Bangalore says that they will bat first because the conditions are hot and it looks like a dry wicket which might mean that the ball will stop a bit later on. Adds that they know that they need to improve their tactics and execution on the field. Mentions that you need 3-4 guys and sometimes a bit more to do the job and they have got off to starts and just haven't been able to kick on. Says that right now they need to worry about winning and keep the worry about the net run rate for the last two games. Informs that they have brought back in Wayner Parnell and Michael Bracewell for Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga.

TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of Bangalore. They will BAT first.

The real conundrum for Bangalore in recent times has been their bowling. They have started leaking runs aplenty, in fact, their bowlers have conceded 180-plus scores in the last three of their four outings. Also, their top-order has been doing the bulk of the work throughout the season. It feels like it is high time for some of the middle-order batters to put their hand up. Will the Bangalore batters be able to express themselves freely against a side who doesn't lack hard-hitters throughout their batting rank? This Indian T20 League has been a run fest until now, expect nothing different this time around. Toss and team news coming up shortly.

Hello and a warm welcome ladies and gentlemen! It is time for yet another riveting contest coming your way from the Indian T20 League. We are at the business end of the round-robin stage, and the two points up for grabs couldn't have been any more crucial for the two sides going up against each other. It is a clash between Rajasthan and Bangalore. The former side though have somehow managed to break their losing streak coming into this game. Rajasthan began their campaign looking as the favourites to go over the line, although their season hasn't been all hunky-dory recently.

... MATCH DAY ...

We are reaching dangerous territory in the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League and a slip-up from any side will spell doom to their chances of making it to the playoffs. It has been mentioned numerous times throughout the season that this year, one of the world's best T20 Leagues has been outstanding in many ways and primarily due to the intense competition that we have witnessed between the franchises. A win at this stage is bound to lift the team's confidence at this crucial juncture while on the other hand, the ones that suffer defeat will see their chances of making it to the top four wane. A similar fate awaits the two sides that clash against each other in match number 60 as Rajasthan welcome Bangalore to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur for a high-intensity clash that could very well shape the rest of their campaign. Rajasthan will be playing for the last time on their turf and have won just two games in front of their fans with only one win in four games at this venue as they played their first two home fixtures were played at Guwahati. They have won 6 of the 12 games they have played so far and will be desperate to register this win as they look to create some distance from the chasing pack. Bangalore are one of the sides hunting down the teams at the top of the table and have three games left to play but with just 5 wins under their belt so far, they will need to win all their remaining matches to keep their fate in their own hands. They have lost their last two matches with their recent defeat coming against a rejuvenated Mumbai side as there were unable to defend a target of 200 and will have to dwell deep into their bowling department. Mohammed Siraj has lost his knack for picking up wickets in recent times but Josh Hazlewood is slowly finding his groove and along with Harshal Patel and Vyshak Vijay Kumar, they have a well-balanced pace bowling unit. Their main issue has been a lack of spin-bowling options with Wanindu Hasaranga bearing a chunk of the responsibility and Karn Sharma used occasionally but one must wonder if they took the best decision when they released Yuzvendra Chahal. The batting is still heavily dependent on their top three batters Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell and will need more contributions from their homegrown players like Anuj Rawat, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, and Kedar Jadhav. The hosts saw their three-game losing streak come to an end with a comprehensive win against an under-par Kolkata side as they romped home to a 9-wicket win with 41 balls to spare. Most people would have anticipated Jos Buttler to continue wreaking havoc in the Indian T20 League this season but to everyone's surprise, it is his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal who has stolen the show. He is having a remarkable tournament and looks to have come of age in this competition as his side's batting performance has begun to revolve around him. Sanju Samson has been in good form as well which has meant that Joe Root has played two games but not got a chance to bat. Shimron Hetmyer has played the finisher's role on a couple of occasions and Dhruv Jurel is proving to be quite a find. What will their fans buzzing is the return of Yuzvendra Chahal's wicket-taking form after a few quiet games and with Ravichandran Ashwin being economical, they form a deadly combination. They have Adam Zampa and Murugan Ashwin waiting on the sidelines as they look well-equipped in the spin-bowling department. Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma look to have built a good partnership with the new ball with the latter used efficiently in the death overs but have found it difficult to find a good fifth-bowling option with Navdeep Saini, Kuldip Yadav, Kuldeep Sen, KM Asif, and Jason Holder all getting an opportunity. Both teams will be treating this game as a knockout as they find themselves in a do-or-die situation and we anticipate this to be a cracker of a contest. Will you be donning pink or red to show your support in this enticing tie?
