Skipper of Afghanistan Rashid Khan elects to bat first and says that the conditions will remain the same throughout so they would like runs on board and will try to defend that. Adds they have a very good bowling lineup that is capable of defending any total. Informs they are unchanged for this game.

Ireland on the other hand now stands a chance to seal the series with a victory tonight. The bowlers did a tremendous job in the first game and won them the first game of this series. Ben White and Joshua Little in particular were unplayable for the Afghan batters. The side has quality players amongst the squad, and they would be looking to improve their batting performance and continue working wonders with their bowlers. Can Ireland take a 2-nil lead in the series or will Afghanistan bounce back and level it? we shall find out soon. Toss and team updates to follow ...

Afghanistan are trailing in this series 0-1 as they lost the first game by 38 runs. The batting order of Afghanistan failed miserably in the first game and the side couldn't even chase 149. The side though has the artillery in their arsenal to come bounce back. Players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi are good enough with the bat. The bowling attack did well in the previous game and they would be looking for another solid performance from the bowlers. Rashid Khan on his return was unplayable for the Irish batters and he was well-helped by Nangeyalia Kharote. The side needs to get better at chasing and the batting order will have to step up if they are to level the series.
