Commentary

That is it from this game then! The 4th T20I will now be played on the 10th of this month and the action shifts to Dhaka. That game begins at 1730 IST (1200 GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care.

Najmul Hossain Shanto says the boys showed a lot of character and he is very happy with how Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali batted. Mentions they need to execute their plans a lot better with the ball towards the end. Endby saying they are looking forward for the next game.

Towhid Hridoy, MAN OF THE MATCH, says he wanted to execute his plan and he did manage to do so. Adds he is happy with his knock.

Sikandar Raza says the top five has to do better. Admits the batting has to do better, they are working hard but they need to do better. States Blessing Muzarabani was really good and Richard Ngarava was injured and he could have made a difference. Adds the youngsters will learn, it is not easy but they will learn. Ends by saying, the senior players need to step up and do better.

Bangladesh were really good with the ball for most parts! It was a combined effort from the bowlers! The likes of Tanvir Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Taskin Ahmed kept it quiet. Rishad Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin did go for runs but they managed to pick five wickets between the two. Yet another performance which Shanto will be happy with and they have now sealed the series with two games to go.

Yet another fighting effort from the visitors but they still managed to end up on the losing side. Not by much but still, on the losing side and they have lost the series as well. Yet again one would say, a better effort from the top order and the result could have been different. The likes of Ervine, Joylord Gumbie and Sikandar Raza failed to make an impact. It was the likes of Tadiwanashe Marumani, Brian Bennett and Faraz Akram who played decent innings but it was not enough. Credit to the three though, they kept Zimbabwe in the game. Especially Faraz Akram who revived hopes when it was all gone. He got it down till the last over but could not pull off a miracle.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! Joylord Gumbie and Tadiwanashe Marumani are the openers.

... THE RUN CHASE ...

For Zimbabwe, Blessing Muzarabani was brilliant and Jongwe also did a decent job. However, the likes of Akram and Raza really went for a few. Those spells can really cost Bangladesh. They're now chasing a big total and will really have to bat well. Bangladesh on the other hand will back themselves to defend this. Join us for the chase in a bit.

More than 100 runs in the last 10 and Bangladesh will feel they're on top in this game at the moment! They were trouble after the first 10. Raza and Blessing Muzarabani were excellent as they did not let the hosts score freely and also got three wickets. However, Towhid Hridoy and Ali batted really well. They added well over 50 and took Bangladesh to safer shores. Hridoy scored a fine fifty but fell towards the end. Mahmudullah added the finishing touch and took his side over the 160-run mark.

FOUR MORE! This is turning out to be a massive last over. Yet again full and outside off. Mahmudullah carves it over point and bags another boundary. 170 is still on.

19.34

FOUR! Off the outside edge! Bangladesh won't mind how they come as long as they do. Outside off. Mahmudullah throws his hands at it, this goes off the outside edge down to the third man fence.

19.31wd

WIDE! Looks to bowl it away from the batter but bowls it well wide outside off. Left alone.

19.21

Takes one but that gets Mahmudullah on strike! On the pads. This is pulled through square leg for one.

18.3W

OUT! TIMBER! That is a seriously good delivery! Can't do a lot with that. Needing something special to get rid of Towhid Hridoy and Blessing Muzarabani produces it. Full, a yorker infact on middle. Towhid Hridoy looks to flick but misses and it hits the stumps. Top knock from him. Can Zimbabwe though keep Bangladesh under 160?

TOSS - ZIMBABWE HAVE WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO BOWL!

It is time for the third T20I between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. It has been one way traffic so far in the series with Bangladesh winning 2 in 2. Another win will see them seal the series with two games to go. Zimbabwe have showed some fight in both the games but they need to perform a lot better in pressure situations. Especially the senior players in the side, it is time for them to step up in this important game. It is a must-win for them if they are to stay alive in the series. Stay tuned for the toss and teams.

... MATCH DAY ...

Time for match number 3 of this 5-match T20I series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. The hosts lead this series 2 games to nil and the visitors have failed to even put up a fight of any sort in the first couple of games. The Batting unit of Zimbabwe have failed miserably and the hosts have made full use of it. Brian Bennett has been the brightest prospect for Zimbabwe with the bat and there were glimpses of a solid batter in Johnathan Campbell in the second game as well. Joylord Gumbie, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza have not managed to perform with the bat and need to step up if they are to stay alive in the series. The bowlers have done decent for them so far. Bangladesh on the other hand have been spot-on in executing their plans. The bowlers have bowled well and the batters have backed it up. The side is not lacking match-winners and everybody has chipped in with a contribution to the team's winning cause. The side would be looking to seal the series in the third game itself. Can Zimbabwe bounce back and keep the series alive or will Bangladesh carry on the winning momentum and clinch the series? We shall find out when these sides collide.
