The English bowlers were in top form right from the beginning of the innings. David Willey set the tone by taking a wicket in the very first over and went on to claim 3 wickets in the match. Commentary

The umpires and the players are taking their place on the field to start the second innings. New Zealand chasing 227 in 34 overs. David Willey to start the attack for England. Finn Allen and Devon Conway are the opening batters for New Zealand. Here we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

As we eagerly await the second innings, New Zealand will be chasing a target of 227 in their allotted overs. The question on everyone's mind is whether the Kiwis can chase it down smoothly or if the English bowlers have some tricks up their sleeves. The stage is set for an exciting chase, so stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling second innings.

The New Zealand bowlers, led by Trent Boult who picked up 3 wickets in his first 3 overs itself, struck early blows, dismissing England's top four during the powerplay. He marked his 100th ODI in fine fashion. However, they struggled to break partnerships in the middle overs as they were lacking wicket-taking deliveries in the middle overs, allowing England to rebuild. Despite tight fielding and restricting runs in the death overs, New Zealand managed to limit England to 226, a chasable target within the 34-over timeframe.

The first innings of the 2nd ODI between England and New Zealand was a rollercoaster ride under challenging conditions. England, batting first, faced an early collapse, losing four wickets for just 28 runs. Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali steadied the ship with a 48-run partnership until Buttler fell to Mitchell Santner. Then, it was the Liam Livingstone show as he blazed his way to an unbeaten 95 off just 78 balls with 9 boundaries and 1 six, forming a crucial 112-run partnership with Sam Curran, who contributed with 42 off 35. England posted a competitive total of 226/7 in their allotted 34 overs, all thanks to Livingstone's heroics.
