ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers have begun and we have Ireland taking on Oman in Match no. 4 at Bulawayo Athletic Club, Bulawayo to gain early ground in Group B. Zimbabwe is hosting the 10-team Qualification event where the sides will be fighting for the final 2 spots up for grabs for participation in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup later in the year in India. Ireland has a solid side and is undoubtedly a team to watch out for as they have a perfect mix of youth and experience at their exposure. Andy Balbirnie will be leading the Irish side filled with explosive players like Paul Stirling, George Dockrell, Joshua Little etc... Ireland has been batting well recently but a lot would depend on the bowlers if they are to advance through to the next stage. Oman has been on an upward graph recently and is improving at a serious rate. They have a good enough side to give a fight to any opponent on any given day. Oman did well in the recently commenced Asian Qualifiers as well where they reached the final. Oman is heavily dependent on their top order to come good and give the team a solid start as the only area of concern for them being an Associate nation at this point is finishing off the games. Zeeshan Maqsood will be leading the pack hoping that they could set the right tone for themselves by defeating Ireland. Expect a thrilling contest between these two well-balanced sides.
