Commentary
...THE CHASE...
For Nepal Karan KC was brilliant with the new ball! He ran through the top order and he was very well supported by Lalit Rajbanshi! However, as the game went on, the wicket got a lot easier to bat on and the bowling was not as good as it was to begin. The fielding was not also at its best. In the end, Nepal will be a tad unhappy they let USA off the hook but overall will be very pleased with their performance. They will back themselves to chase this down. USA on the other hand, will need wickets if they are to defend this. Join us for the reply in a bit.
That is an excellent recovery from USA! Let me remind you, they were 6 down for below 100 and that stage, it seemed, they won't even cross the 150-run mark but Shayan Jahangir stepped up. He batted sensibly, first got some support from Nisarg Patel, then from Jessy Singh and Saurabh Netravalkar also hung around for a bit. He was the mainstay in all the stands. H scored a brilliant ton to give his side's score some respectability.

USA just did not have enough on the board. Their bowlers were quite disciplined and did manage to take wickets at timely intervals but they needed more runs on the board. However, they were rocked early by Karan KC who picked up 4 in no time. Shayan Jahangir managed to score a ton but despite that, they only managed to get a total of just over 200 which was easily chased in the end.
A very convincing win for Nepal then! To be honest, it is the bowlers who set it up for them by restricting USA to a moderate total. With the bat, they had small, small partnerships which was exactly what they needed. Bhim Sharki was the mainstay for them and the others played around him.

...THE CHASE...
For Nepal Karan KC was brilliant with the new ball! He ran through the top order and he was very well supported by Lalit Rajbanshi! However, as the game went on, the wicket got a lot easier to bat on and the bowling was not as good as it was to begin. The fielding was not also at its best. In the end, Nepal will be a tad unhappy they let USA off the hook but overall will be very pleased with their performance. They will back themselves to chase this down. USA on the other hand, will need wickets if they are to defend this. Join us for the reply in a bit.
That is an excellent recovery from USA! Let me remind you, they were 6 down for below 100 and that stage, it seemed, they won't even cross the 150-run mark but Shayan Jahangir stepped up. He batted sensibly, first got some support from Nisarg Patel, then from Jessy Singh and Saurabh Netravalkar also hung around for a bit. He was the mainstay in all the stands. H scored a brilliant ton to give his side's score some respectability.

Hello and welcome to yet another match in the World Cup Qualifiers. It is time for the clash between Nepal and USA. Two teams who have started on the wrong side will go against each other. Nepal and USA showed that they have an abundance of talent with the bat but if they click with the ball as well, it will be a very balanced squad. It is now time for match number 6 in the World Cup Qualifiers. In this match Nepal will be locking horns United States of America. Both the teams are coming into this game with a loss on their back. Although, USA will surely take plenty of positives away from their previous outing against West Indies. They will surely be hoping to transcend the same form into this game and would be hoping to walk away with some crucial points. USA need their batters to bring their A-game from the get go, and should focus on building solid stands in this 50-over game. Nepal, on the other hand, batted extremely well but could not do much harm with the ball in hand. Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh stitched a 171-run stand for the first wicket and set a solid platform for the rest of their batters. Nepal would be hoping for these two players to get going again and set the tone for their innings. For USA, their openers got off to a steady start but lost wickets in quick succession to them on the back foot. However it was an excellent effort with the bat from Gajanand Singh who remained unbeaten at 101, but could not get his side over the line. Both the teams would recognise this encounter as a golden opportunity for either side to open their account in the points table. Who will get over the line and walk away with some bragging rights? USA just did not have enough on the board. Their bowlers were quite disciplined and did manage to take wickets at timely intervals but they needed more runs on the board. However, they were rocked early by Karan KC who picked up 4 in no time. Shayan Jahangir managed to score a ton but despite that, they only managed to get a total of just over 200 which was easily chased in the end.
A very convincing win for Nepal then! To be honest, it is the bowlers who set it up for them by restricting USA to a moderate total. With the bat, they had small, small partnerships which was exactly what they needed. Bhim Sharki was the mainstay for them and the others played around him.
