Right then! That is it from the coverage of this game! The action from the Indian T20 League continues on Wednesday, 6th April and it will be Mumbai taking on Kolkata at Pune. The first ball of this clash will be bowled at 7:30 pm IST (2 pm GMT). But the build-up will begin much earlier. Do join us for the same. Till then, cheers and goodbye!

Dinesh Karthik is the Player of the Match. He says he has made a conscious effort and did justice to himself. Adds that he has a goal and he knew he wasn't done yet. Tells he tries to figure out the situation and stays calm. He has practiced hard and many people have helped him leading to this tournament. Laughs by saying he loves this red and black costume to wear.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Bangalore says that to pull it out of nowhere, someone needs some great character and DK is a great character. He is really calm and such a great asset to them. Adds that they bowled really well, up to the 18th over, and then Jos Buttler got some good shots and put a score that was above-par. Mentions that they started quite well, but then Chahal bowled really well to get them back in. On Shahbaz Ahmed, he says that people think that since he is a skinny guy, he can't hit it long but he can smash it a long way.

Stay tuned for the presentation...

Harshal Patel is also down for a chat. He says it was nice to help his team cross the line. Adds that he had his plans, he just hit the length hard and he thought it was a good batting pitch but it was completely different. Tells that he sets himself after looking at the field and what the batter is thinking.

Sanju Samson is down for a chat. He says that he can't point out where the game changed. Says the bowlers did well and even Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer gave a good finish but it was hard with dew coming up. Adds that Dinesh Karthik has a great experience but they should have taken some time in the field to tackle him. Adds there are many positives to take from the loss.

After getting to a blistering start, Bangalore lost their way out in the middle. Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat provided Bangalore with the perfect start, but once they perished, runs dried up and wickets started to fall. It was the partnership of Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed that guided them over the line. Dinesh Karthik started firing from the word go, while Shahbaz Ahmed put up a great show as well. The duo notched up 67 runs together and put Bangalore in the driver's seat and they never looked back thereafter. Though Shahbaz Ahmed perished, Dinesh Karthik made sure he gets his side over the line. With this victory, Bangalore have managed to grab two vital points. An emphatic win for Faf du Plessis and his men.

Rajasthan did not have the best start with the ball, they leaked 48 runs in the Powerplay. But they fought back well and grabbed five quick wickets, and put themselves ahead in the game. Rajasthan were all over Bangalore during the middle phase. However, once Dinesh Karthik walked in to bat, the bowlers had no answer to his brutal hitting. Yuzvendra Chahal was the leader of the pack, he grabbed two wickets and gave away just 15 runs in his spell. The first defeat for Rajasthan, however, they do have a few positives to take from this defeat.

From 48 for 0 in the Powerplay to 88 for 5 at the end of 13 overs, to sealing victory with 5 balls to spare. What a dramatic game this has been! But it is Bangalore that have managed to get over the line and they have handed Rajasthan their first defeat of the tournament.

Commentary

We are back for the chase. The players are out in the middle. Anuj Rawat and Faf du Plessis are the openers for Bangalore. Trent Boult to start with the new ball. Here we go...

... THE CHASE...

Right then! Rajasthan will look to keep their winning streak and they will rely on their confident bowling attack once again. Bangalore need to take the game till the deep to fancy a chance. Stay tuned as the second half is coming up shortly.

Jos Buttler is down for a chat. He says that the surface is a bit soft, the slower balls and Hasaranga's googlies slowed the wicket up a bit. Mentions that it was important to hang in there but it was frustrating as well, but he had to get the scoreboard ticking and go big at the end. States that they are in the game, and a lot will depend on the conditions but he back his bowlers to defend this target.

Bangalore will be gutted with that finish. It was a good performance from them but they leaked quite a few runs in the back end which could prove costly. They started well and controlled the middle phase as well. Harshal Patel is a cheat code for them in that phase and the spin wizard, Wanindu Hasaranga was also decent once again but it was Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep who went for runs. Jos Buttler was dropped twice early on and fair to say, it proved very costly for Bangalore.

Rajasthan lost Jaiswal early on but Buttler and Padikkal did well to build up from there. Runs were coming nicely at that point but once Padikkal fell, Rajasthan lost a bit of momentum in the middle phase. They were finding it difficult to middle it and were scoring at a walking pace but Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer gave a big grand finish with a stand of 83 runs. Not a big total but definitely one Rajasthan can fight with.

62 runs coming off the last four overs. The average first innings score at Wankhede this edition is around 142 but the late carnage has helped Rajasthan clear the cut off. This might just be enough for Rajasthan with the bowling attack they have but we will have to wait and see if dew will play a big factor.

OUT! CAUGHT! Harshal Patel strikes in his first over and gets rid of Devdutt Padikkal! A much-needed breakthrough for Bangalore. A superb catch as well! This was a fuller ball, around off, slower in pace. Devdutt Padikkal tries to go over mid off, but the ball goes off the bottom of the bat and goes high in the air just over mid off. Virat Kohli there, backtracks, keeps his eyes on the ball, holds on to it, and lands on his back after he catches it. It is always tough to take those high catches. The umpires check if he was not touched the ball on the ground after he landed. But the replay shows it was a fair catch.

We are all set for action! The players are out in the middle. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the batting for Rajasthan. Mohammed Siraj will begin with the new ball. Here we go...

Sanju Samson, the skipper of Rajasthan says he doesn't mind much, losing the toss and says the pitch is different as compared to the last ones. Adds that they have some senior players on the team and they are benefiting from the roles given to everyone. Informs they are going with the same XI.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Bangalore says they are going to bowl first, just following the trend, and the pitch looks different today. Mentions that the last game was very pleasing for them, it gives them a lot of confidence as a team even after not performing at their best. Informs that they are playing with the same team.

Rajasthan (Unchanged playing XI) - Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (C/WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Navdeep Saini, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna.

Bangalore (Unchanged playing XI) - Faf du Plessis (C), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Sherfane Rutherford, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep.

TOSS - Bangalore have won the toss and they have elected to BOWL first!

PITCH REPORT - Matthew Hayden is down near pitch. He says the wicket has less grass this time, it is very very hard this time and this isn't something we have seen so far. Says that the batters are in a little bit of a treat today and a high score is expected.

We have seen how crucial the toss had been in this edition of the Indian T20 League. Dew has played a big factor at Wankhede and the teams chasing here have won all three matches. Both the teams are in super form at the moment. Who do you think will win here? We will find out! Stay tuned for the toss and other updates.

Few players will play against their former team. The likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Devdutt Padikkal, and Navdeep Saini who were part of Bangalore in the previous season will wear a different colour jersey this season. Chahal has already made his mark while Saini and Devdutt Padikkal are yet to display their true potential. It will be a bit emotional for them but in the end, two points are what matter the most. Bangalore will be hoping Glenn Maxwell returns to their playing XI, if he does it will only make their batting stronger. While Rajasthan will want to stick to their plans and continue to perform the same way. They will aim to remain unbeaten.

Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of match number 13 where Rajasthan will face Bangalore. Rajasthan are riding high on confidence with two impressive wins while Bangalore showed a much-improved performance to open their account. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top today.
