Halt! Chance spilled and to make matters worse, Aiden Markram seems to have hurt himself in the process. The Proteas skipper is down on the ground and seems to have taken a blow to the little finger of his right hand. Gets medical attention from the physio and is ready to resume.

DROPPED! Just spilled out! Jansen slips in a low full toss around off, Hardik Pandya slices it off the bat and hits it flat and straight towards mid off where Aiden Markram bends low to take the catch but the ball yorks the fingertips of Markram and he is on his knees in pain.

Well, pleasing signs as it was just a passing shower. However, it remains overcast, with slight chances of showers here and there as the evening progresses. As of now, the covers have been peeled off and now, the two sets of players line up for their respective national anthems. It will be India's first, followed by the national anthem of South Africa.

UPDATE - 1.38 pm GMT - There was a bit of rain in the air whilst the toss was taking place but the players are still out there, going through their warm-up drills and we should be fine for an on-time start. That said, the strip has been covered now but it looks to be more as a precaution.

The captain of India, Suryakumar Yadav says that they achieved what they wanted to do in the first game and is glad that kept up with their brand of cricket. Mentions that they learn from every game irrespective of the result. Hopes that they can continue the good work and shares that he would want the team to be a bit tidier. Informs that they are going with the same team as the last game.

Aiden Markram, the captain of South Africa says that due to rain around, bowling is a good option. He is hopeful that there might be some help for the seamers. About the team changes, Markram informs that Reeza Hendricks is well now and he comes in for Patrick Kruger. Mentions it is a huge opportunity for them. Also tells they are not worried about the results, but they will look to execute their plans.

PITCH REPORT - Ashwell Prince and Shaun Pollock are inspecting the St. George's Park's pitch. Shaun Pollock says that there's a bit of cross breeze blowing across the park. He is joined by Ashwell Prince who says that it is overcast and there is some chance of rain. Adds the surface looks a bit different than usual. Mentions that there's more grass which will encourage the seam bowlers a bit more. Pollock then adds that the pitch is hard and firm and also reckons that there might not be much assistance for the spinners. Prince concludes and says that the captain who wins the toss must elect to bowl first keeping the weather in mind.

On India’s side, Sanju Samson's blistering century set up a formidable total, which, while it could have been higher, proved sufficient on the day. Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi then took over, taking 3 wickets each to seal the deal. India are on an impressive 11-match T20I winning streak, and a victory today would bring them level with their all-time best run in the format.

South Africa may not have taken much from their 61-run defeat, but their late fightback with the ball, led by Gerald Coetzee, was a positive sign. On the batting front, their frailties against spin were evident and how they tackle the Indian spin threat will be key to their fortunes not just in this game but for the rest of the series.
