UPDATE - 3.12 pm GMT - With the covers removed to reveal a remarkably dry surface, the umpires have emerged for an inspection. Although they are currently locked in discussion regarding the dampness of the outfield, the sight of officials on the ground offers a strong sign that a game is imminent.

UPDATE - 2.34 pm GMT - A positive update once again. The rain has stopped, and the groundstaff are peeling the covers off. However, the pitch remains under cover. Let's hope it was the last rain spell and we get some action tonight.  An inspection will take place at 3 pm GMT.
