Right. Bangladesh are just a few steps away from lifting the trophy. They need three more wickets. We just have to see how quickly they wrap things up. Zimbabwe had a good start to the day. Both the batters survived the initial first hour of the game by the skin of their teeth though. As the opposition dropped a few catches. But post the drinks break it all went haywire. They first lost Dion Myers, as a crucial stand between Tiripano and him came to an end. Later Tiripano survived till Lunch, but he kept losing his teammates on the other end. The next three batters Timycen Maruma, Roy Kaia and Regis Chakabva were sent backpacking in a short span. They hardly troubled the scoreline as the first two batsmen were knocked out on naughts and a run from the latter. It is now Donald Tiripano and Victor Nyauchi who have a long way to go in this match if they want to get a draw out of it. But it looks to be difficult.

Bangladesh are well on top at Lunch on Day 5. They bowled 27 overs in the first session and took 4 wickets. The first 17 overs were wicketless for Bangladesh i.e. till the Drinks break. But after the break, Mehidy Hasan struck in no time as he dismissed Dion Myers. He also went onto pick up another wicket of Timycen Maruma through a plumb LBW. Later it was Taskin Ahmed who added fire to the attack and picked up two more wickets to put Zimbabwe in all sorts of trouble.

Hello and warm welcome to Day 5 of the one-off Test match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. Bangladesh are well on top at the moment. They posted a huge target for the hosts to chase. While, Zimbabwe lost three wickets by the end of Day 4. The burden is now on Myers and Tiripano to give their team a solid start. The most likely result that the hosts can pull out of this fixture is a draw, only if they can see off the 90 overs. Bangladesh need 7 more wickets to win this game. Coming to Bangladesh, they batted really well to score 284 in their second innings in the first part of the day. Shanto and Shadman Islam scored tons while Hassan missed out on a half-century. Ahmed took the wicket of Shumba early but they had to wait a long time to get the second one as it was taken by Mehidy Hasan. Towards the end of the day, Shakib took the big wicket of Kaitano to put them well on top of the game. Now they need 7 more wickets to win the game. Patience remains the key for them as a few quick wickets will put the game in their grip very firmly.

Bangladesh set a massive target of 477 for Zimbabwe to win the Test. They took the wicket of Shumba quite early but had to wait a while to get the second one. Taylor and Kaitano stitched a lovely stand for the second wicket in completely contrasting fashion. Taylor took the attack to the opposition, looked to score boundaries and raced to his 50. He would have wanted to score a ton, but fell just short of it. Kaitano, on the other hand, had his mind set on blocking most of the deliveries that came to him. He took 39 balls to get off the mark and was very patient in the middle. He did give a simple chance while batting with Taylor but was lucky that Hossain did not hold onto it. But his marathon came to an end as he fell for 7 from 102 deliveries towards the fag end of the day.

What a session for Bangladesh! First, they scored more than 100 runs to get their lead to 476 and then took a wicket early on. Zimbabwe have already lost their first wicket thanks to a brilliant delivery by Taskin Ahmed. Bangladesh started with spinners at both ends. They started to put pressure straight away, with some tight bowling from Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan, but Taskin struck in his very first over. Now Zimbabwe have to play patiently and make sure they don't lose any more wickets. Currently, Brendan Taylor and Takudzwanashe Kaitano are batting with the latter yet to get off the mark despite facing 26 balls. A top session for Bangladesh! They have extended their lead by 361 runs. Both, Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto are batting brilliantly. They lost the wicket of Saif Hasan in the middle but that hasn't stopped Bangladesh from chipping runs. Both the batters are playing proper cricketing shots and there have not been many loose shots. As far as Zimbabwe are concerned, their bowlers are not bowling in the arc. They got the solitary wicket of Saif Hassan, thanks to a brilliant catch at the gully region by Dion Myers. Pitch report - Tino Mawoyo says that there is an area on the pitch where there is very less grass and the ball can keep low. Adds that on Day 3, the ball was not turning. Adds that Zimbabwe will bat last on this pitch and it is not going to be easy. Tells that even the seamers are also getting the ball to misbehave.

Mehidy Hasan is there for a chat. He says that he is playing good and it is after a long time that he got a 5-wicket haul and he is very happy. Tells that he did not get any wickets in his first spell but he was not too disappointed and he remained patient. Tells that if he kept on bowling in the good areas, he would get wickets and he kept on discussing with the skipper. Adds that he kept bowling at the wickets and it worked. States that they have a good opportunity to win this game. Tells that Mahmudullah and Taskin played really well and he is really excited.

Stuart Matsikenyeri, the Zimbabwe batting coach, is there for a chat. He says that they had a decent start and the top order gave them what they are craving for but the collapse later on did not help their cause. Tells that they did not convert a couple of starts. Tells that they have the opportunity to look at a couple of guys. Goes onto say that Kaitano was brilliant as he showed patience with the bat and they batted over 100 overs which is positive. Tells that this is their time to get a big score but they are disappointed not to get one.

We have some news for you! Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from Test cricket and he passed on the information to his teammates just before the start of Day 3. Mahmudullah returned to Test cricket with a bang, scoring 150 and has ended his Test career with that. It is not official yet though and we will wait for the confirmation.

Hello and a warm welcome to the fourth day's play between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. The visitors hold all the cards at the moment as they lead by 237 runs and they have all their wickets intact. They would look to get some quick runs and get a lead which is out of Zimbabwe's reach. Right then! Bangladesh hold the upper hand in this game and they have been terrific. On Day 4, they would look to add some quick runs and put Zimbabwe out of the game. Bangladesh are well on top. They had a slow start with the ball as they did not pick up many wickets in the first session but they came back really well in the second session as they kept on chipping away at the wickets. Mehidy Hasan was brilliant with another 5-fer to his name and he was well supported by Shakib Al Hasan and the seamers. Overall, it was a magnificent effort. Shadman Islam and Saif Hassan managed to see off the remaining few overs in the day.

Zimbabwe had a very good start with the bat, as they just lost one wicket in the first session but they struggled after the second session. They kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and they eventually folded up for 276, giving Bangladesh a lead of 192. Takudzwanashe Kaitano was the star of the show with the bat but he needed to go and score a big one while Brendan Taylor played a really good hand but both missed out on well-deserved centuries.

End of an excellent day for Bangladesh! After bowling out Zimbabwe for 276, they would have expected to survive till Stumps unscathed and Shadman Islam and Saif Hassan have done it well. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, had a disappointing day and they are way behind in the game. It is all Bangladesh at the moment.
