Commentary
For Bangladesh, it all started brilliantly courtesy Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam but on Day 3, it was hard work for their bowlers. Not sure if the wicket got easier or what but they were made to work hard for their wickets. Taijul Islam was the pick with a four-fer but he was well supported by Ebadot Hossain too. Overall, Bangladesh will be disappointed to let the visitors off the hook but they will still feel they are on top in this game. The hosts will back themselves to chase this down. Ireland will be disappointed that they could not take their lead to over the 150-run mark but will be very pleased with the fight they have shown. After being down and out at the end of Day 2, an innings defeat looked for sure for the visitors but the likes of Lorcan Tucker, Harry Tector and Andy McBrine showed a lot of grit and forged a fight back. Tucker was the highlight as he ended up scoring a ton but the other two played important innings too. The three have given their bowlers something to bowl at. We do not feel it will be enough but one just never knows.
Bangladesh have made quick work of the two wickets they had to take this morning! They stated off with two spinners but quickly moved to pace and it was Ebadot Hossain who did the trick for them. He got both the wickets and have kept Ireland's lead to below 150, 137 to be precise and Bangladesh now need 138 to win the only Test between the two sides.

Commentary
Just over 15 overs to go in the day and Bangladesh will aim for a wicket or two at least. Ireland on the other hand, will hope they can get through this tricky period without much damage. An interesting passage awaits.
It was the middle and the lower order which came to the fore for the hosts! They lost their top three early but Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim put up a brilliant side to turn the tide towards them. Shakib fell but Rahim continued. Along with Das, he took his side into the lead. Rahim got to his ton but Das missed out on a half ton. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan then paired up to forge another partnership. However, the last session saw wickets fall quickly for the home side. Mehidy Hasan though added a few handy runs with the tail to push that lead over the 150-run mark.
Ireland will be pretty pleased with the work they have put in, in this session so far. They needed to pick up wickets very quickly and Andy McBrine has stepped up for them. He was the star for them with the ball with a six-fer and he was well supported by White as the two were bowling in tandom. Despite those efforts though it is Bangladesh who are well, well ahead in the game. They have a lead of 155 and the way this wicket has stated playing, that seems to be a massive advantage.

For Ireland, a few of their batters got off to starts but none went on to make it significant. Three batters managed to cross the 30-run mark, Harry Tector went onto score a fifty but they needed him to score a bg one. The others really struggled. Apart from the three, no other batter managed to cross the 20-run mark and Ireland will be disappointed especially after electing to bat.
Bangladesh will be pretty pleased with their effort with the ball, especially after being asked to field. It was the seamers who started the good work by picking early wickets but it Taijul Islam was the star with the ball. Whenever a partnership was building, he always provided a wicket. He received good support by the others too. Overall, it is a really good performance by the hosts.

A lot of positives for Ireland to take away from here. Batting of Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker while the all-round performance of Andy McBrine. However, Bangladesh dominated the tour as they won the ODI series, T20I series and the one-off Test series as well.
At the start of Day 4, Andy McBrine was still out and for Ireland to get over 200, he had to play a big hand but Bangladesh made sure the visitors get out below 150 and in the end, it turned out to be a easy win for the home team.
It looked like the game will end on Day 3 as while trailing, Ireland lost their top order and were shrinking in pressure but then came the big partnership between Lorcan Tucker and Andy McBrine of more than 100-runs. Ireland recovered from a very good position and cut the deficit to take the lead.
Ireland with the bat had only two players to thank, Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker who in both innings gave a solid fight and made bulk of the runs. Ireland were bowled out on 214 in the first innings, thanks to a five-fer from Taijul Islam. Bangladesh, replied with a massive score as Mushfiqur Rahim scored a wonderful century and got strong support from Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan. Andy McBrine claimed six wickets.
An impressive win for Bangladesh but Ireland should be proud of the effort they have shown. Few more runs could have definitely helped them but Bangladesh were just too good. Chasing a moderate total, Litton Das and Tamim Iqbal gave a solid start but it was Rahim's fifty which helped Bangladesh to chase it down with ease. Just as we write, the players from both teams give a guard of honor to the umpire, Aleem Dar as he was officiating his last game as an umpire.

Commentary
For Bangladesh, it all started brilliantly courtesy Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam but on Day 3, it was hard work for their bowlers. Not sure if the wicket got easier or what but they were made to work hard for their wickets. Taijul Islam was the pick with a four-fer but he was well supported by Ebadot Hossain too. Overall, Bangladesh will be disappointed to let the visitors off the hook but they will still feel they are on top in this game. The hosts will back themselves to chase this down. Ireland will be disappointed that they could not take their lead to over the 150-run mark but will be very pleased with the fight they have shown. After being down and out at the end of Day 2, an innings defeat looked for sure for the visitors but the likes of Lorcan Tucker, Harry Tector and Andy McBrine showed a lot of grit and forged a fight back. Tucker was the highlight as he ended up scoring a ton but the other two played important innings too. The three have given their bowlers something to bowl at. We do not feel it will be enough but one just never knows.
Bangladesh have made quick work of the two wickets they had to take this morning! They stated off with two spinners but quickly moved to pace and it was Ebadot Hossain who did the trick for them. He got both the wickets and have kept Ireland's lead to below 150, 137 to be precise and Bangladesh now need 138 to win the only Test between the two sides.

A fight back of all sorts has seen Ireland get back into the game. Another excellent session for Ireland and they can be really proud about the fight they have shown. At one stage an innings defeat looked certain but now they have not only gotten into a lead but it is nearing 50. Tector and Tucker started this session off by playing in a lot more positive manner. Tector fell shortly after getting to his half ton but Tucker and Andy are amidst another good stand and in no time. Tucker is nearing his ton and Andy is hanging in there. Ireland’s will hope they can somehow push this lead to over 100.

Excellent session for Ireland. It felt like Bangladesh will make early inroads at the start of the day and did so by taking the wicket of Moor but since then, Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector have been resilient in the middle. Welcome to the coverage of Day 3 of the only Test between Ireland and Bangladesh. This game has moved at a rapid pace and it is the hosts who are in the driver's seat quite comfortably. They are six wickets away from a win and only a miracle can save Ireland who are still over 120 runs behind. Peter Moor and Harry Tector showed good fight after they lost four in no time but their side will need the two to bat long. Ireland's first aim will be to avoid an innings defeat. Can they do so? After being bowled out and taking a lead of 155, Bangladesh had around 17 overs to bowl to the visitors and within no time they had Ireland 4 down. Shakib got two and Taijul picked two. At that time, it seemed, this could get embaressing for the visitors but Harry Tector and Peter Moor showed good fight to ensure there were no more wickets to fall on Day 2. Ireland still trail by over 100 and need these two to bat long if they are to have any chance of taking a lead. Bangladesh on the other hand, would want to keep taking wickets and end this game as early as possible on Day 3. The action starts at 0930 IST (0400 GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care!
A day that has been dominated by the hosts! For a while, it seemed that this could well be the last day of this game but credit to Harry Tector and Peter Moor to ensure it is taken to Day 3. However, the hosts are way, way ahead in this game and Ireland will need nothing short of a miracle to get back into this one. First it was Rahim along with Shakib, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan who batted Bangladesh into a strong position. Commentary
Just over 15 overs to go in the day and Bangladesh will aim for a wicket or two at least. Ireland on the other hand, will hope they can get through this tricky period without much damage. An interesting passage awaits.
It was the middle and the lower order which came to the fore for the hosts! They lost their top three early but Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim put up a brilliant side to turn the tide towards them. Shakib fell but Rahim continued. Along with Das, he took his side into the lead. Rahim got to his ton but Das missed out on a half ton. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan then paired up to forge another partnership. However, the last session saw wickets fall quickly for the home side. Mehidy Hasan though added a few handy runs with the tail to push that lead over the 150-run mark.
Ireland will be pretty pleased with the work they have put in, in this session so far. They needed to pick up wickets very quickly and Andy McBrine has stepped up for them. He was the star for them with the ball with a six-fer and he was well supported by White as the two were bowling in tandom. Despite those efforts though it is Bangladesh who are well, well ahead in the game. They have a lead of 155 and the way this wicket has stated playing, that seems to be a massive advantage.

What a session for Bangladesh! They have scored more than 130 at a quick rate and trail now by just 44 runs. The hosts lost Mominul Haque early on but once Shakib Al Hasan came in and changed the complexion of the game. He just started to hit boundaries regularly and in no time raced away to his fifty. Rahim too followed him with his fifty. Ireland on the other hand had the start they wanted but as the game progressed, they had to chase the ball more often than before. Hello to the action of Day 2 between Ireland and Bangladesh. Day 1 was pretty eventful with 12 wickets falling altogether. Ireland showed promising signs with the bat but didn’t live to the expectations as few batters got a start but failed to capitalise on it. Taijul Islam was the star with the ball as he picked a five-fer. In reply, Bangladesh had to bat for a small passage but lost both the openers. Ireland will be pretty pleased with the 10 overs they have bowled after being bowled out! They have got two important wickets and have kept themselves well and truly into the game. Mark Adair got one early and then it was Andy Balbirnie who got one right towards the end of the day. Bangladesh though will still feel they are ahead in the game courtesy the work done by their bowlers earlier on in the day. Now though, they need a partnership, they do bat deep so they would hope a few of their batters can put up a good score. Ireland on the other hand, need to keep picking wickets. For Ireland, a few of their batters got off to starts but none went on to make it significant. Three batters managed to cross the 30-run mark, Harry Tector went onto score a fifty but they needed him to score a bg one. The others really struggled. Apart from the three, no other batter managed to cross the 20-run mark and Ireland will be disappointed especially after electing to bat.
Bangladesh will be pretty pleased with their effort with the ball, especially after being asked to field. It was the seamers who started the good work by picking early wickets but it Taijul Islam was the star with the ball. Whenever a partnership was building, he always provided a wicket. He received good support by the others too. Overall, it is a really good performance by the hosts.

A good session for Bangladesh but they have a lot to improve. They took three wickets but they were too wayward in the first hour, the seamers mostly which resulted in for runs but once the spinners came in, they got three wickets in three overs and got Bangladesh right back in this game. Ireland though bossed courtesy of Tector and Curtis Campher as both stitched a stand of 74 with Tector scoring a fifty but both fell in quick succession. Ireland were in pressure but Tucker and McBrine have shown some promising signs and Ireland will hope these two blossoms for a long time. Interestingly, Shakib yet again didn't bowl in this session. A good session then for the hosts! They were asked to field after Ireland won the toss but head with their noses ahead into the break. They struck early courtesy Shoriful Islam, Ebadot Hossain then did not take long to make an impact. Andy Balbirnie and Harry Tector then tried to steady things and were looking good but Taijul Islam struck. Curtis Campher and Tector though ensured there were no more wickets to fall before the break. The two now need to apply themselves and put up a good stand. Bangladesh on the other hand, will want to continue the good work. The element of surprise in the first session was that Shakib did not come onto bowl but we might just see him soon with the ball in hand. A tricky second session awaits for the visitors. Can they come out on top then? We will find out.

A lot of positives for Ireland to take away from here. Batting of Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker while the all-round performance of Andy McBrine. However, Bangladesh dominated the tour as they won the ODI series, T20I series and the one-off Test series as well.
At the start of Day 4, Andy McBrine was still out and for Ireland to get over 200, he had to play a big hand but Bangladesh made sure the visitors get out below 150 and in the end, it turned out to be a easy win for the home team.
It looked like the game will end on Day 3 as while trailing, Ireland lost their top order and were shrinking in pressure but then came the big partnership between Lorcan Tucker and Andy McBrine of more than 100-runs. Ireland recovered from a very good position and cut the deficit to take the lead.
Ireland with the bat had only two players to thank, Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker who in both innings gave a solid fight and made bulk of the runs. Ireland were bowled out on 214 in the first innings, thanks to a five-fer from Taijul Islam. Bangladesh, replied with a massive score as Mushfiqur Rahim scored a wonderful century and got strong support from Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan. Andy McBrine claimed six wickets.
An impressive win for Bangladesh but Ireland should be proud of the effort they have shown. Few more runs could have definitely helped them but Bangladesh were just too good. Chasing a moderate total, Litton Das and Tamim Iqbal gave a solid start but it was Rahim's fifty which helped Bangladesh to chase it down with ease. Just as we write, the players from both teams give a guard of honor to the umpire, Aleem Dar as he was officiating his last game as an umpire.
