Commentary

That is it from this game then! Another game follows. That game will be played on the 12th. It begins at 0930 IST (0400 GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care!

Najmul Hossain Shanto says the openers batted really well. Adds they should have batted better. Adds the bowlers were brilliant and they did a really good job.

Mustafizur Rahman has been given the MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD! He says he loves playing for the country. Adds the wicket suited him and hence, he could bowl well.

Sikandar Raza says he is happy with how the youngsters are doing. Admits the fielding cost them and Bangladesh were really good in the field. Adds he needs to contribute more and he is disappointed he is failing to do so. Credits the bowlers for the way they came back but more is required of the batters. Ends by saying there is a lot they need to work on and they'll try to do better going ahead.

IN reply, Bangladesh bowlers were brilliant, the likes of Taskin and Shakib ran through the top order. However, Zimbabwe fought back well then courtesy the lower order. Brian Bennett, Wellington Masakadza and Ryan Burl! Mustafizur Rahman though was exceptional at the death. He got important wickets and yet again the game shifted towards the hosts. The lower order continued to fight for the visitors. They get it down to 7 needed in three but it was Shakib who kept his cool and helped his side come out on top.

What a game of cricket! Wow! Credit to Zimbabwe as they showed excellent fight yet again but kudos to Bangladesh to defend a total which we felt was just under par. This though was a game of comebacks. First it was Zimbabwe! Bangladesh were 100 for no loss but Zimbabwe bowled well in the second half and bowled the visitors out for below 150.

19.4W

OUT! TIMBER! Zimbabwe fall heart-breakingly short. That is probably what Wellington Masakadza did not want Richard Ngarava to do! Short ball, around off, Ngarava swings for the heavens and misses. The ball crashes onto the stumps and you have got to feel for the visitors. So near, yet so far. I remember my ex-colleague covering a WI-Pak Test match where Shannon Gabriel did all the hard work of staying with Roston Chase to try and draw the Test. Only, to see Gabriel swing wildly across to Yasir on the last ball of the penultimate over (which turned out to be the last) and have West Indies lose that match. Same feeling. Dhaka won't mind as Bangladesh win by 5 runs and go 4-0 up!

19.41W+wd

OUT! STUMPED! But it is a wide which means Zimbabwe now need 6 in 3 but only have one wicket in hand and Richard Ngarava is on strike. He sees Blessing Muzarabani come down the track and fires it wide outside off. Blessing swings but misses and the keeper does the rest.

19.36

SIX! Bang! Gets hold of this and it goes all the way. What a time to hit a biggie. 7 needed in 3 now. Steps out, gets to the pitch of it and lofts it over the long on fence for a biggie.

Slower and outside off. Blessing Muzarabani swings but misses.

19.11

Dropped! Wellington Masakadza is off strike though! Outside off, this is slapped down towards long off. The fielder spills it. A dot now.

WE ARE BACK!

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Zimbabwe were looking disheartened with the way Bangladesh were playing in the first half of the innings. They were looking a bit tired and confused as to how much more they'd concede but Luke Jongwe came in with some fresh air to strike twice in the over and that turned out to be the moment of the match. Since then Zimbabwe didn't look back and pulled things back in style. A completely different kind of attitude in the next 10 overs has resulted in Zimbabwe finishing strong. The tourists have a chance to get a win here. The bowlers have done a good job. Can the batters finish things off?

A tale of two halves - Bangladesh scored 100 runs at the halfway mark with both the openers bossing the game. Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar were scoring at 10 runs per over. It felt like today Bangladesh would cross the 200 mark but there was a twist in fortunes as they lost 10 wickets while adding just 43 runs on the board. A downfall no one saw coming. Hasan scored a fine fifty but Sarkar followed him in the same over and since then the wickets kept on falling.

19.5W

OUT! GONE! Short in length and on leg. Rahman makes room and tries to slash it away but edges it to the keeper who makes no mistake. Bangladesh finish with 143 on the board.

19.51wd

Wide! Bangs it short and on middle, Rahman slashes and misses. Sikandar Raza reviews the decision but it stays the same.

19.40

A  length ball on off. Rahman punches it straight to cover.

19.31

On off, this is pushed to covers for a single.

19.22

Length and on off, Islam taps it to point. Blessing Muzarabani goes across and has a shy at the keeper's end but misses. It rolls away and they take one more. A comedy appears next as the fielder throws at the bowler's end with both the batters at one end but the fielder misses his shy from inches away.

19.11

On a length and outside off, Rahman dabs it to third man for a single.

Commentary

A comedy appears next as the fielder throws at the bowler's end with both the batters at one end but the fielder misses his shy from inches away.

Hello and welcome to the fourth game between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. The home team have shown sheer dominance so far winning all the games and clinching the series as well. They have done well so far and will look to clean sweep against Zimbabwe eho are lacking a bit in all three departments. The form of some of the experienced players is worrisome. Zimbabwe are yet to show their full potential and will hope to put on a side in this game with nothing to lose much. Let's hope we have a cracker of a game. Stay tuned.

...Match Day...

We are awaiting the 4th T20I between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. It has all been the dominance of Bangladesh in the first three games. With two games left, they will hope to whitewash the visitors and gain some momentum before the T20I World Cup in the coming month. The form of Litton Das will be a big concern for the team but their middle order looks strong. In the last game, Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali put up a strong stand to stabilize the innings but their lower middle order couldn't give an explosive end. Their bowling unit took up responsibility and put the opposition under pressure from the start of the innings. Mohammad Saifuddin ended up with three wickets while Rishad Hossain earned two. The rest of the pack got one wicket each to win the game by 9 runs. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have come close to winning but haven't been able to cross the final step. They will want to win the remaining games and gain some confidence. Blessing Muzarabani has been their star bowler and impressed once again with his three wickets in the 3rd T20I. Sikandar Raza and Faraz Akram got one each. The others will need to make sure that they break partnerships in regular intervals and keep the pressure on the batters. Their batters also need to preserve their wickets, especially their openers who are expected to give a strong start. Tadiwanashe Marumani, Johnathan Campbell, and Faraz Akram were the only batters to cross the 20-run mark which looks troublesome for the squad. There are a lot of things to work on for them. Which team are you supporting?
