Strategic Break! Despite of losing the skipper Shubman Gill on a mere 6 runs, Gujarat has faired well with Wriddhiman Saha and Sai Sudharsan constructing a resilient stand of 66 off just 39 deliveries. PITCH REPORT - Natalie Germanos and Deep Dasgupta are at the 22 yards. Natalie starts by informing about the dimensions of the ground saying it's 63 meters and 62 meters long on the squares and 72 meters down the ground. Deep Dasgupta joins her and says the grass on the track seems to be a bit patchy and it is dried and rolled in as well, but also tells that there are areas where there's no grass at all. Reckons that the pitch will do better under the lights and states that it is still a good surface to bat on. Further adds there might be a little variable swing and bounce depending on where the ball lands. Adds that the spinners might also get a bit of assistance in the first innings. Ends up by saying a lot of hard work has been put up by the curators and reiterates that it's a really good surface to bat.

Gujarat on the other hand got back to winning ways in their previous against Punjab and that game was a low-scoring thriller. Their batting really needs to step up as they almost made a medal of a small target of 144 runs and were all out for 89 runs in the game prior to that against the same opposition they face in this game. Delhi come into this game on the back of another horrific performance with the ball and it has been really frustrating as they have bowled pretty well in a few games and have gotten smashed in others. They need more from their pacers and the top order too needs to be more consistent.
