Lucknow on the other hand can still get to 14 points which might be the number for the fourth placed team but with their net run rate being in the mud, any result in tomorrow's game between Bengaluru and Chennai would see Lucknow knocked out. They will be gutted as they were amongst the front runners for a playoffs berth midway through the season but will now look to finish with a consolation win. Lucknow, on the other hand, find their playoff hopes in jeopardy after losing their previous game against Delhi. Now sitting in 7th position with 12 points, a win in this match will only take them to 14 points, meaning they will still need other results to go in their favour to have a chance at qualification.
