The umpires are in conversation with both the umpires near the dressing room. There seem to be loads of activity going around as the umpires now walk to the office of the match referee. We should have some action really soon as the two opening batters for Netherlands are doing their warm-ups on the balcony. The game is scheduled to resume at 1:40 pm IST (8.10 am GMT) so do join us then.

Oman on the contrary has had an upside-down tournament where they won the first two games and then are on a losing spree of 3 on a trot. The defeat against Zimbabwe came at a cost as skipper Zeeshan Maqsood injured himself and Oman were knocked out of the qualification scenarios. The graph of the bowlers and the batter has dipped massively in the recent games as they have conceded in excess of 300 in the last two games and were bundled out under 100 in the other game. Netherlands have had an amazing outing in Zimbabwe as they have played an aggressive brand of cricket with clinical performances and the best of them came against the mighty West Indies where they chased down a mammoth score of 374. The defeat against Sri Lanka was just by a margin of 21 runs and they would be looking to not repeat the mistakes of losing wickets on a regular interval again today. The form of Logan van Beek and Bas de Leede with their all-around abilities has been a big positive for the Dutch side. Though they would be looking for a better performance from the likes of Vikramjit Singh and Max O'Dowd to help them stay in he hunt for the final spot up for grabs for the ICC Cricket World Cup later this year.

Hello and welcome to all our viewers. Oman takes on Netherlands in match no. 5 of the Super Sixes in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup qualifiers. We are right down to the business end as the qualification scenario intensifies.

The table in the Super Sixes of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023 is shaping up nicely and we are close to finding out which two teams will make it to the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup that will be played in India later this year. What we do know is that the two-time world champions West Indies will not take part in the mega event as they hit yet another low and this has opened the way for teams like Scotland and Netherlands to challenge the likes of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka for the coveted spots. We focus our attention on match number 5 at the Harare Sports Club and in this game, Netherlands have a mathematical chance of making it to the finals as they lock horns against an Oman side that have overachieved by making it to this phase but will not go further in the competition. Netherlands reached this stage by finishing second in Group A, winning three games and losing one against Zimbabwe in the first game of their campaign. The Super-over win against West Indies showed their batting potential as they tied a target of 374 runs and owned the one-over tiebreaker. Their first game in the Super Sixes was against Group B toppers Sri Lanka and they will be extremely disappointed about not winning that tie. They put in a wonderful bowling performance and bowled out the Lankans for a measly total of 213 with Logan van Beek and Bas de Leede claiming three wickets each and taking their tournament tally to 10 and 9 wickets respectively. Their batters let them down as they could not overcome the target and were knocked over for 192 runs. Just three batters got into double figures with Wesley Barresi and skipper Scott Edwards reaching half-centuries and Bas de Leede contributing with 41 runs. It was a massive letdown, especially after the outing they had against the Windies where their bowlers had an off day and they will be hoping that both departments come to the party in the same game. Scott Edwards (284 runs) and Max O'Dowd (211 runs) have done the chunk of the scoring with Teja Nidamanuru and Vikramjit Singh also among the runs but the latter two were dismissed on a duck in the previous fixture. Oman won their first two games of the competition to boost their chances of making it further but two losses thereafter condemned them to the third spot in Group B. They clashed against Group A table-toppers Zimbabwe in their first game of the Super Sixes and they gave the Test-playing nation a run for their money. Despite Fayyaz Butt's four-wicket haul, they were unable to restrict the scoring and were set a target of 333 to chase down. Kashyap Prajapati kept them on the hunt though with an outstanding century and there were contributions from the in-form batters Aqib Ilyas and Ayaan Khan but they fell short of the finish line by 14 runs. Bilal Khan and Fayyaz Butt both have 10 wickets in the competition so far and they will be hoping to be at their best in this game. Will they pull off a massive upset and shatter the dreams of the Dutch players? Or will Netherlands stay alive in the competition with a dominating win? We will find out soon.
