It was not a dream start to Shaheen Afridi’s captaincy career as Pakistan were convincingly beaten by the hosts in the first match. Pakistan were in the game for a while but the middle order collapsed at the wrong time. The Blackcaps emerged as deserved 46-run victors but Pakistan will be keen to bounce back strongly in Hamilton.
