New Zealand on the contrary would be buzzing at this point after levelling the T20I series in the final T20I. This would be a perfect test for the side ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 as they would get a chance to explore ideas and find out who would be a perfect fit in the absence of Kane Williamson, if he doesn't recover in time for the big event. The standout batter who took the Pakistani bowling unit apart was Mark Chapman, but will any other batter put his hand up this time around for the Kiwis? We shall find out soon, as the series is about to get underway. Other than that their bowling has been a bit hot and cold but they do have some amazing firepower and would be relying on them to give them a lead in this series. Pakistan would be coming into this game a bit wounded with their defeat against the odds in the last and final T20I despite the squad being at full strength. The hosts would be itching to bounce back and start the ODI series with a bang and outclass the opponents. The batting unit looks solid as Babar Azam is leading the team with an exemplary scoring spree and he is well helped by the top and middle order as well. The bowling is what is a matter of concern for the hosts as they have failed to step up and compliment the batters and it could be a match-deciding factor in this game as well.
