That is it from this game. New Zealand will look to bounce back but they need a much better performance from all the players than this one. The 3rd game will be played on the 21st of this month at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT). Join us earlier for the build up. Cheers!

Babar Azam says he is happy with how they bowled in the first six overs. Tells they'll experiment and shuffle with the batting line up in the next matches. Shares all the players are match winners and the combination is good right now in their team. Reckons they want to tick a bit of boxes before the World Cup and they'll try their best to prepare well and be upto the mark.

Michael Bracewell says they didn't score a lot as they were slow to adapt to the surface but their bowlers did well to try and defend the score. Tells they'll learn from this game and play well in the next match.

Shaheen Afridi is the Player of the Match. He says it's good to bowl after a long time, he just backed his skills today. Adds it's important to bowl according to the conditions and there was not much swing as well today. Tells with Mohammad Amir back, their bowling unit is strong now.

...Presentation next...

It's hard to blame the Kiwi bowlers here. They tried their best as they took 3 wickets but were short of runs to defend. It was an all-round performance by Pakistan. They bowled well first of all. All of their bowlers were excellent and right on the money. Shaheen Afridi ended with three wickets while Mohammad Amir on his long return took two wickets as well. The batters chased down the under-par score with ease. Mohammad Rizwan scored half of the score while others motored around him.

A comfortable win in the end for the home team and they go 1-0 up in the series. The lack of experience was visible as the Kiwis got bowled out under 100 runs. None of them could cross the 20-runs mark and looked vulnerable against some lethal pace bowling of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir.

TOSS - Pakistan have won the toss and ELECTED TO BOWL!

It is rain which came out on top in the first one but the weather forecast for the second game is really good and we expect a full one. Pakistan are yet again massive favourites as they're playing at home and New Zealand have an inexperienced squad. However, it is a chance for the youngsters in the New Zealand squad to prove their mettle. Who will take a 1-0 lead? We will find out.

... MATCH DAY ...

New Zealand's tour of Pakistan continues with the 2nd of the 5-match T20I series to be played between these two sides at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. The first game of this series was a washout with just 2 balls bowled in the game. Babar-led Pakistan will be looking to gain some momentum and test themselves against the Kiwis ahead of the mega ICC event. Pakistan handed out debuts to three players in the first game but they were not allowed to showcase their talent due to a washout but they would be looking for an opportunity again this time around. Usman Khan has opted to return to Pakistan at the expense of his permanent spot in the U.A.E. side and he will be itching more than anybody else to stake a claim in the Pakistan batting line-up for that squad that will be traveling to the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup. The form of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim will be looked at as well with both the veterans opting out of retirement. There is a lot for Pakistan to sort out and a series as such against a good side like New Zealand will surely help them going ahead. New Zealand on the other hand have not travelled with their best side with a lot of players playing in the Indian T20 League. Those who have traveled would be looking at this as an audition for the upcoming mega event and would look to perform to their best ability and make a mark for themselves. The side has a lot of good players but they are lacking International exposure and to play against a quality side like Pakistan at their full strength would surely serve good to them. Tim Robinson did get a taste of what it feels like to face a quality bowler as he was knocked over in just 2 deliveries that Shaheen Afridi bowled in the first game. Both sides will look to get answers to a lot of questions with squad selections and build up some positive momentum ahead of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup. Will the hosts ease past the not so experienced visitors or do we have a surprise around the horizon? We shall find out when these sides collide.
