...Presentation next...

Pakistan bowlers just weren’t at their best in this game. Also, with the dew coming later on, it did not help their cause. They failed to produce wicket taking deliveries and in the end, the visitors managed to level the series. A lot to learn for the Pakistani bowlers from this game.

Mark Chapman, take a bow, he played a match winning knock the last time he came to this country and does it again. Close to 180 wasn’t going to be easy to chase but the openers got them off to a good start before both fell in quick succession. Chapman and Dean Foxcroft then batted really well. They played the situation and added over 100 before Foxcroft fell. The game though was done by then. Chapman stayed till the end and took his side over the line.

Commentary

Back for the chase. Tim Seifert and Tim Robinson to open for the Kiwis. Shaheen Afridi to bowl first.

...THE CHASE...

New Zealand had a chance to pull things back when Rizwan and Usman fell in quick succession. They would have loved a score around 150 but still, this is a good pitch to bat on and New Zealand won't mind this score too. The spin duo of Michael Bracewell and Ish Sodhi bowled really well as they took the wickets together but the seamers leaked most of the runs. New Zealand now have a task on their job. They though come up against Shaheen Afridi, Abbas Afridi and Naseem Shah. Can New Zealand level the series? Let's find out.

A competitive score in the end from Pakistan and they'll be happy with it. It wasn't easy going for them as they lost wickets regularly. The top three were brilliant but once Mohammad Rizwan got retired out, Pakistan lost the momentum as Usman Khan followed him to the dugout. However, the stand between Irfan Khan and Shadab Khan blossomed as both added 62-runs in no time. Shadab fell but Irfan hung till the end to give a perfect finish.

Michael Bracewell says they'll bowl first and hopes they can replicate what Pakistan did in the past match. Shares they have two debutants, Zakary Foulkes and William O'Rourke are playing today.

New Zealand (Playing XI) - Tim Robinson, Tim Seifert, Michael Bracewell (C), Mark Chapman, Jacob Duffy, Zakary Foulkes, Dean Foxcroft, Cole McConchie, James Neesham, William O'Rourke, Ish Sodhi.

Pakistan (Playing XI) - Babar Azam (C), Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Irfan Khan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abbas Afridi (In for Mohammad Amir), Abrar Ahmed.

TOSS - New Zealand have won the toss and will BOWL first.

Hello and welcome everyone to the third match between Pakistan and New Zealand. The home team kicked off the series with a convincing win. The rain affected the first game but we saw some inspiring bowling from Pakistan's front line pacers. Shah, Afridi and Amir were on a roll as they rattled the Kiwis under 100. The spinners too were brilliant in the middle phase. New Zealand on the other hand were not able to handle the heat as their inexperienced batting took some beating. The Kiwis need to come up with a better performance if they are to level the series. Pakistan though will look to double their lead. Let's see how it goes. Stay tuned.

... MATCH DAY ...

After a dominating victory over the Kiwis, Pakistan would be eyeing to build on that positive momentum as they take on New Zealand in the game no. 3 of this 5-match T20I series. Pakistan dominated the proceedings in the first game with their seamers running riots on the Kiwi batters and the Batting unit doing the rest by chasing down 90 without any hiccups. The return of Mohammad Amir was pleasing to the eyes of many as he grabbed a couple while Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah paired well to break through the batting unit of the visitors. Babar Azam would have been delighted with the performances of Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan as well. It was a complete team effort from Pakistan in the first game and they would be looking to try out some different combinations this time around and still maintain that winning momentum. The Kiwis on the other hand led by Michael Bracewell had the worst possible outing with the bat and were bundled out inside 20 overs. No batter was able to reach even the 20-run mark for them and the batter had no answer to the quality bowling unit of Pakistan. Tim Seifert, Mark Chapman, Cole McConchie and Dean Foxcroft were the only batters to get into the double-figure mark while the others failed to reach even that. The bowling from New Zealand was not that bad as the bowlers bowled well but they did not have anywhere near enough to put up a fight with the ball. The side would be looking to try out their bench and test them as well against this quality Pakistan bowling unit but the main aim would be to level the series. Expect a much better contest this time around as these two sides gear up for round three of this series.
