The match witnessed two contrasting centuries, with Virat Kohli shining for Bangalore before Buttler's heroic performance stole the show. As Rajasthan celebrates another triumph, they continue to showcase their dominance in the Indian T20 League, while Bangalore will be left to ponder over their missed opportunities in yet another closely contested encounter.

Despite a valiant effort from Bangalore, led by Virat Kohli's magnificent century, Rajasthan managed to chase down the formidable target of 183 with five balls to spare. Kohli's masterful innings, supported by a crucial partnership with Faf du Plessis, laid a strong foundation for Bangalore's innings. However, Rajasthan's bowlers, including Yuzvendra Chahal and R Ashwin, displayed exceptional skill and precision to contain the runs and keep the pressure on the opposition. In response to Bangalore's total, Rajasthan got off to a shaky start, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early to Reece Topley. However, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson turned the tide in Rajasthan's favor with a formidable partnership, decimating the Bangalore bowling attack with their aggressive strokeplay. Despite facing some resistance from the Bangalore bowlers, including Mayank Dagar and Himanshu Sharma, Buttler and Samson exhibited resilience and determination, propelling Rajasthan towards victory. Samson's milestone of crossing 4000 runs in his Indian T20 League career further highlighted his significance in Rajasthan's batting lineup.

Rajasthan have done it! 4 wins in 4 games! Rajasthan emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Bangalore, securing their fourth consecutive win of the season. Commentary

We are back for the chase! The players are already out in the middle now. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler are the two openers for Rajasthan. Bengaluru uses their Impact Player as Himanshu Sharma comes in for Saurav Chauhan. Reece Topley to start proceedings with the ball. Here we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Rajasthan, on the other hand, will be a bit disappointed as they would have expected to restrict their opponents to a lower total. It was the first time that they could pick up any wickets in the Powerplay and had to change their tactics. Their spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal were pretty economical with Chahal making an impact with a couple of wickets against his former team. Trent Boult and Avesh Khan were expensive but Nandre Burger showed his death bowling skills in this game and chipped in with one wicket as well. Now, it is up to their batters to do their part, but if there is no dew, then it will be not an easy chase. Join us in a bit for the second essay.

Virat Kohli, the centurion and the current leading scorer in the tournament is up for a chat. He says that the wicket looked really good but the change of pace on the ball is working really well for the spinners in the middle overs so the total is a good one if they bowl well. He further talks about his match preparation and says that he bats according to the conditions and with the experience that he has, he is ready with 3 different ways to bat for every innings that he plays. He further says his batting through the first 6 overs is always a good sign for the side as it helps them reach a good total.

Bengaluru got off to a very good start with Virat Kohli playing the aggressor role with skipper Faf du Plessis giving the support. They scored more than 50 runs in the Powerplay and forced the hosts to change their usual plans. The openers continued to go at a good rate and Kohli also notched up his third half-century of the season. Faf got his touch back and took on Trent Boult with a couple of maximums. He was then dropped by the Kiwi but perished on the very next ball. The duo added 125 runs which is the highest partnership for any wicket this season. Glenn Maxwell and the debutant, Saurav Chauhan went back for low scores but that did not stop Kohli from smashing it all around the park. It was not that easy batting on this wicket, but he kept his composure throughout the innings and registered yet another sensational hundred in the Indian T20 League. He remained unbeaten on 113 runs off just 72 balls.

Take a bow, King Kohli! We have witnessed another exceptional knock from the master, and he is silencing the critics with every passing game. It was difficult for the other batters to score freely on this pitch, but Virat Kohli made it look easy and brought up the first century of this season. Rajasthan did well to pull things back in the middle overs, but a few dropped catches and sloppy fielding cost them a bit in the end.

Faf du Plessis, the captain of Bengaluru says that they would have bowled first as well but were a bit unsure. Adds that the wicket looks good and won't change much later on. Mentions that they haven't played their best cricket but it is a matter before everything clicks and then they can be a really good side. Says that it is important to choose the right players for correct roles and they want to help Virat Kohli as he has been excellent. Informs Saurav Chauhan is making his debut and is a very calm and composed guy and hopes that he does well here.

Sanju Samson, the skipper of Rajasthan says that they will bowl first. He attributed this decision to factors involving the opposition and the prevailing conditions. Playing on a fresh wicket, Samson anticipates support for his team's seamers early on, with the likelihood of dew becoming a factor later in the game. Samson expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, noting the players' willingness to take responsibility and finish games when given the opportunity. While acknowledging the presence of several match-winners in the squad, he also highlights the variability in their performance from match to match.

... MATCH DAY ...

The Indian T20 League is in full swing and is providing heaps of excitement for cricket enthusiasts in India and all around the globe. The cricketing action will shift to Jaipur where Rajasthan hosts Bengaluru on their home turf for match number 19 of the league stages. Rajasthan are yet to face defeat this season and they sit comfortably towards the upper half of the points table. With 6 points in the bag and a good NRR, they are looking to be one of the most consistent teams this season. Their last game against Mumbai was very good for their morale as they earned themselves a very comfortable win. Their bowling unit has been doing wonders in the powerplay especially when they have the services of Trent Boult who has a knack for dismissing batters in his first two overs. Nandre Burger also announced himself in this league with 2 wickets to his name. Yuzvendra Chahal weaved his spring magic to take 3 wickets at crucial times. They bowled very tight lines and lengths and didn't allow the opponents to build partnerships. They had a low total to chase so their batting unit didn't have to play under pressure. They made sure they got timely boundaries and even though their first 3 batters were dismissed without scoring big, Riyan Parag once again this season played a solid knock and won the game for them. He is one of the players who is in contention for the orange cap this season and the team management will be very pleased about him finding his form back. Rajasthan will be looking to carry the winning momentum further and keep the winning streak going. Bengaluru on the other hand, has the advantage of winning 3 out of the last 5 head to head encounters with Rajasthan. However, they haven't yet found their form. With just 1 win so far, they are placed towards the bottom half on the points table. They will want to get themselves a win and climb up the ranks. Their bowling unit hasn't been performing up to the mark and has leaked a lot of runs. In their last game against Lucknow, they failed to break partnerships at important times and didn't put the opponents under pressure. The form of their batting unit hasn't been impressive. The team is very dependent on the runs scored by Virat Kohli but the others have failed to make a strong stand. The top and middle order consisting of Faf du Plessis, Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik need to pull their socks up and take some responsibility. They have the services of Will Jacks on the bench so they might make some changes in the squad for this game. This is expected to be a nail-biting encounter in the pink city. The winning team will climb up the points table. Rajasthan wouldn't be under pressure but Bengaluru will want those two points before it is too late. Which team are you supporting?
