Keshav Maharaj, the South African skipper, he says that he is feeling excited to captain the side and hopes that they can win this game. Adds that they have added a spinner in the side as they feel that it might get tough to bat later. Informs that Wiaan Mulder, George Linde and Reeza Hendricks come in the side.

PITCH REPORT - Farveez Maharoof is down for the pitch report. He says that the wicket is quite dry. Adds that the DLS method might come in play so the captain winning the toss might look to bat first.

Update 3 pm Local (9:30 am GMT) - We have news! The toss will take place at 3:30 pm Local (10 am GMT) and the play will start 30 minutes after that. But the match has been reduced to 47 overs per side.

Update 2:30 pm Local (9 am GMT) - Well the good news is that the rain has stopped. There is still plenty of water on the covers but the ground was entirely covered with covers. The groundstaff are hard at work and we are hoping for good news! Meanwhile, our coverage for Day 3 of the Test between England and India has started. You could switch tabs and take a look at that. Update 1:55 pm Local (8:25 am GMT) - We have bad news folks! The ground is covered and there is water all over the covers. Grey skies are looming around and the toss is likely to be delayed. The latest tweet from Cricket South Africa does not paint a pretty picture. There is plenty of water on the covers and plenty of grey in the sky.

We saw in the last game, the Lankans went ahead with three specialist spinners and the South Africans played two. They used Markram as the third which turned out to be a good move. Will we see George Linde replacing Andile Phehlukwayo? Possible as the latter did not have the best of games in the first outing. South Africa will be without Temba Bavuma as he has been ruled out due to a fracture on the thumb and Keshav Maharaj will lead the side. So, there will be a forced change in their side and it will be interesting to see who comes in. As for the hosts, expect them to be unchanged and they are likely to stick to the winning combination.

After quite some time the Lankans enter a game with a chance of sealing the series. A similar performance to the first game will see them bag the series with a game to go. Not going to be easy though against a South African side that will be eager to keep it alive. Will we have a decider? We will find out.
